I love Rick Hearst but Ric was only enjoyable to me when he’s on the opposite side as Sonny. He came off as so pathetic when he’s trying to get in good graces, especially since it was obvious that Sonny had no interest in being a brother to him and knew that he only had to give Ric a slight amount of attention to get him to do whatever he wanted. Unfortunately, it’s the reason I don’t really want him back on since these days, no one is really allowed to oppose Sonny.

Why did they have Alexis tell Julian and Ava that Neil isn’t her boyfriend? Didn’t she tell Kristina not that long ago that they’re dating?

I could see them making it work. Lucas will probably feel alone after learning that Brad and Julian were keeping this secret from him and the rest of his family is also related to Michael so they would torn between being sad for him and happy that Michael’s son is alive.

Are we supposed to see Kim as the villain or a victim in all of this? Characters keep mentioning that she can’t control her actions due to Oscar but they've been writing her as so smug and selfish that I don’t get how anyone is supposed to be on her side unless they just really hate Liz or Friz. The tipping point to me was the conversation today with the lawyer where she said that Liz already lost her husband so why should she have to lose Drew again. The fact that she can’t even see past her own desires is astounding to me if they still want people to see her as a “good” character

I saw some rumors that Kim and Peter might be out soon but not sure if it was just wishful thinking. I could see the argument for both since Peter is getting the villain treatment and I don’t think there’s anyway to bring Kim back from where she is now. Also, without Julian and Liz, she has no ties to canvas if Franco gets his memories back.

I think it’s just Julian who knows for sure. Curtis only knows that Drew was drugged but I don’t think he even knows who did it and Kim alluded to Liz that she crossed a line but Liz didn’t know the details.

Not surprising. The other soaps are at least trying to make changes to gain viewers. GH’s stories last way too long and have no payoff, most of their current couples have no chemistry, and they continue to double down on their 4 leads which is turning a lot of fans off

They might have just done it to give Carly a storyline, as boring and unnecessary as it was. Even though she’s supposed to be the lead actress of the show, they weren’t really doing much with her except for having her talk about Morgan and shoving her into storylines she had no business in, i.e. Ryan. Mike’s Alzheimers and Dev have been more for Sonny and she wasn’t really involved in the DoD stuff with Sonny, Jason, and Sam because Kristina isn’t her kid. Joss is a teen so she can carry her own storylines. Unfortunately this means that she’ll probably be front and center once the baby switch is revealed because they don’t have anything else for her to do.

Didn’t Sonny leave the mob for a little while after Michael was shot? I can’t remember the exact details as to why he went back but I thought that was why he married Claudia. I’ve been thinking the same thing. They want to pretend Sonny is a good guy so they might as well have made him leave the mob permanently a few years ago.

I’m a little relieved that the sb didn’t amount to anything. There was no way they could do justice to that storyline and we would have just kept hearing how Sonny and Carly are the bestest parents ever even though all evidence points to the contrary. Plus the show has little to no interest in having kids onscreen these days, even with the leads, so we already know Donna is going to be mostly offscreen with the nanny anyway

They haven’t been able to do much with Valentin with no other Cassadines on the show. Alexis hasn’t been interested in being a Cassadine in decades and her kids have really never had anything to do with them aside from when they randomly need to pull Sam into a story. His main foe so far has been Spencer so how intimidating could he be? I assume that dropped SL last year with Alexis mother’s watch was supposed to usher in either Stefan or Nikolas’ return but obviously something happened with that. If something actually pans out with this codicil storyline and Nikolas returns, I might be more interested in him but otherwise, I don’t see a place for his character on the show after Nina ends things with him.

If they wanted to do a WTD story, I don’t think they would have had Julian find out that Kim slept with Franco this early. It would make more sense for it to be kept secret longer so we could have Julian get excited about finally being able to be a full time father for the first time even if it wasn’t the best time for Kim to get pregnant and then be devastated when he learns that there’s a possibility that the baby isn’t his. They could have even done it after Franco gets his memories back and doesn’t remember what happened in the interim so Liz has to debate whether to say something. As the story stands now, they would probably do a paternity test as soon as they can and there isn’t any real angst with having Julian be the father so we know it will be Franco’s. Doesn’t the baby almost always turn out to be the result of the cheating/affair when they go that route?

Kim getting pregnant does seem to be the most likely route the show would take but I’m hoping they are starting to realize that she isn’t coming off as sympathetic here despite what the writing says. I don’t know who that storyline would appeal to since the people who want Franco to have a kid want it to be with Liz and Kim wanting an Oscar replacement was already problematic enough when she wanted to get pregnant by Julian or Drew. They’ve had Kim switch her mind back and forth between Frew and Julian pretty much daily since this memory storyline has started so I can’t figure out what’s going through her head. I think it would much more compelling to find out that she’s always been mentally unhinged and have her go fully off the rails. Drew didn’t realize it because he only knew her for a few weeks and in PC, it got written off because she’s been dealing with the Oscar stuff. Crazy would be a lot more interesting to me than what we’re getting now and I don’t think there’s a way to fully redeem Kim after this and have her go back to being a random supporting character. I’ve seen way too much Kim hate out there and frustration that she’s being coddled by other characters. Hell, I don’t even want to see her go back to GH with the way she’s been acting. I’d be concerned for her patients.

I saw some speculation that he was Brenda’s son Alec or Sonny’s son but I think both were more wishful thinking that he is someone that had ties to the canvas versus another newbie who is hogging screentime. Unfortunately, I think he really just is a random kid that Sonny has no ties to because they wanted a new Stone.

I think Julian does the know the truth even if what he’s telling Liz is different. When he broke up with Kim, he told her that he might have been able to get past the cheating because she’s grieving Oscar but not that he’ll always be second to Drew. And he pretty much said the same thing when he discussed it with Alexis, that he couldn’t live in the shadow of the love of her life (although he might be a hypocrite on that one considering he told Alexis recently that he doesn’t think he’ll ever be completely over her).

He and Olivia were never really a couple and while they had her play the jealous ex for a bit when he and Alexis were together, I’ve never seen feelings on his side. It doesn’t seem like FV is a big fan of Julian but they can always put him in a triangle with Alexis and Neil, with Nina after Valentin’s secret is exposed (haven’t seen if he and CW have any chem but she doesn’t with IR so I don’t want them to go there) or Liz if the Franco stuff goes on for a long time so he has other options than Kim. I don’t really see any real reason that he would get back together with her after he realized that he was always going to be second to Drew.

Her mother’s name was Kristen so I assume Kristina sr was already named after her. I didn’t love Molly when they first named her either but I think it’s because they were considering Abigail first and I thought it worked better. But I don’t know what else would have been a better option. I did like that she wasn’t named after someone else since they were doing that way too much at the time and I couldn’t see Alexis giving her kid a Greek or Russian name when she never even used her real name.

I wonder if this was the original plan or because of the HW change. I remember hearing that the “groundbreaking” storylines were coming from Shelly Altman, which means that Mike’s Alzheimers and Oscar probably came from her. If it’s the case, I’m glad because those storylines dragged and I didn’t find them engaging. I don’t want to listen to Sonny and Carly wringing their hands over their sick kid for months. I’m just glad they finally stopped mentioning Morgan every week.

So I guess we’re really stuck with this Carson baby since I don’t think they would have given her a meaningful name otherwise. They really are going full wish fulfillment with this couple.

7 and 9. Claudia was pregnant and miscarried after Kristina’s hit and run

I really hope they aren’t making Dustin a villain because I like him with Lulu but this show has a weird fascination with rape. I’m not sure where else they would be planning to go with this. I can’t see them doing a full student-teacher relationship with the actress being underage irl. Maybe her having an unrequited crush ala Maxie/Lucky and Kristina/Ethan and having Dustin being falsely accused?

The article says that he will continue to recur on GH. I love Ned but the show hasn’t been interested in writing for him since the 90s so this is probably better for WK. The last storyline he had was the mayoral stuff and he only won the election the first time around because GF bailed. If they are only going to trot him out for the nurses ball and holidays, I’m sure Days can still accommodate that.

One would think so but I doubt it makes a difference considering it didn’t have a big impact on his custody battles with Carly and Alexis. I think we’re supposed to treat it as a non-issue but in reality, I’m pretty sure all of the things that have happened to his kids over the years would make him a poor candidate.

I didn’t think so but Alexis and Finn were more friends who decided to hook up because they were single and couldn’t be with the people they really wanted. I’m guessing NLG intentionally does that neurotic, rambling thing to show that she’s into the guy, which I agree can get annoying. I didn’t see her act that way around Ned but Alexis has acted that way around pretty much every other guy that she was supposed to be seriously into
