Not that I’ve seen and I don’t think he or Kim are leaving. I get the feeling Franco getting Drew’s memories will cause her to change her mind. There’s a lot of spoilers of scenes between Franco and Kim so they might be setting up some kind of love triangle (or quad I guess?)

I’m guess that means that Billy Miller leaving wasn’t voluntary? Most of what I’ve seen on SM is people speculating that he chose to leave because he was bored with no storyline

I still don’t think that TB is leaving, especially now that they are trying to make it look like Kim and Julian are leaving together. Seems like the memory storyline is being done to shake up 2 stable couples since all of Liz/Franco and Kim/Julian’s recent issues haven’t lasted more than a couple episodes.

I have a hard time seeing them going in this direction unless their writing changes dramatically. Alexis isn’t pining over him anymore and told Finn after she had that sex dream that she doesn’t want this version of Julian, she wants the “bad” one. It would have worked a year ago when it still seemed like they wanted to be in each other’s lives but I think they really both moved on at this point

I don’t think Kim is really leaving. They just don’t have anything else for her to do right now. Honestly I thought the scenes with Carly were to set up her kidnapping the baby since I can’t think of another reason they kept this child alive

So Julian wants to move into the house where his daughter was almost raped? I guess that’s one way to reuse a set but it’s weird that anyone wants to live there. Also, it seems like they are trying to make things “good” for Julian to set him up for a big fall and make him the town pariah again. Between the happy relationship, Willow wanting him in Wiley’s life and Lucas getting closer to him, I’m seeing anvils.

I think they just wanted to make Franco the surrogate father and don’t seem to realize that kids can have more than 1 father figure in their lives so they have to make Lucky look like a deadbeat. Were there references to Lucky not being involved at all before Liz and Franco got together?

I think the original plan was a love triangle but it would have been a mess if they had really gone that route because KM was giving SB nothing in their scenes together and there’s no way TPTB would have written Jason as the loser. The only way I could have seen it going is pretty much what happened- having Drew as the family man/safe choice but have Sam still be drawn to Jason but it wouldn’t have played out that way onscreen if they did a real triangle since at the time anyway, her chemistry with Drew was much stronger

I wonder if the weird song choice was because neither NLG or JF can sing?

The Alexis and Neil scenes were sweet. If only some of the actual couples on the show had the same chemistry...

I think they are setting it up for Franco to end up with the memories since that psychic told him something about not being himself and taking a drive. But that probably makes less sense than Jason ending up with them

What is the point of these Sonny/Neil scenes?

I don’t really mind that since they never age kids at the same time. Molly’s supposed to be around 2 years younger than Cameron and only 3 months older than Spencer. Plus the former Danny actor was kind of a dud so they needed to recast them anyway.

For real, they couldn’t even pretend that Brad and Lucas have friends or any non-mob family outside of Bobbie and Julian. Reminds me of their wedding. Lucas especially seems to get short changed. He’s a legacy character and doctor with a lot of ties to the current canvas and he’s barely even been a part of the baby switch storyline

Lol i think it’s just a temporary reprieve. I’m sure once the baby switch comes out, they’ll be back to screaming at him

I’m not entirely sure how soap contracts or statuses work so I could be wrong but if they are recurring, don’t they just get paid by appearance?

When Kim first came on, I actually liked that they didn’t treat her like Claudia and forced her back into Sonny and Jason’s sphere. But they don’t seem to know what to do with her. It seems like she was originally supposed to be a spoiler for Drew/Sam but they didn’t keep that couple together for very long and Drew and Kim’s interactions were always one-sided without Drew’s memories. Her relationship with Julian has been pretty boring since their issues never seem to last more than a couple episodes and are easily blown over. All she’s really had is Oscar’s storyline, which finally seems like its coming to an end. They haven’t bothered to create enough other connections for her. Plus in her age range, we already have Carly, Nina, and Ava with a ton on screentime. Without Oscar and Drew, all she really has is Julian and a sort of friendship with Liz, 2 other characters who they don’t seem to want to write storylines for.

So were the rumors about them recasting false? Sounds like BM has already finished filming. I hope that’s true since the cast is bloated and they weren’t really utilizing Drew anyway but FV seems to love recasting roles that probably don’t need to be recast

I love Molly but I think a big reason she's still normal is that they've never been that interested in writing for her. I think if they had, she'd be just as screwed up as the other legacy kids are/were or would have been recast and aged up along with Morgan years ago. The only thing I really remember them giving her is that failed love triangle with TJ and Rafe and some stuff during Ric's brief return. It's strange because there was definitely a big hole in the young adult group. Even now, there's really only Michael, Chase, Willow, and Kristina.

While I wish that there were more hospital-related storylines, I don’t feel the need for TPTB to keep characters who happen to be doctors, especially when you hardly see them working (i.e. Kim and Finn).

I have a hard time believing that they still think he’s capable of being a romantic lead since they’ve paired him with at least 6 or 7 different women and the only one he’s maybe had any chemistry with was Abby. I think the only reason he’s even with Sasha now is that Chase and Willow ended up being a lot more popular than they predicted so they backed off a bit from their love triangle.

Same here. I didn’t mind it when it was Ric and Alexis or Robin and Patrick because at least their bickering was somewhat entertaining but Joss and Dev are just annoying me right now. It probably doesn’t help that it seems way too soon to give Joss another love interest and what will probably be a love triangle since she’s still crying over Oscar. I thought they were going to go a different route with having Cam move on with Trina and Joss becoming interested in him after she has some time to get over Oscar but I guess since she’s Carly’s daughter, she’s always going to be in the center of everything

I think the actors were actually chem tested before Neil was cast which is why they work together for me a lot better than a lot of what we’re seeing onscreen right now, ethical issues aside

I’m pretty sure they just did that with Jax because Sonny was the reason he couldn’t be in town, first with trying to kill him and then getting him kicked out of the country.

I figured it was something like LLC where they like the actress despite having no interest in giving them a real story. But it’s strange that they left her on contract for what she’s been doing. I know the actress came from Y&R but it doesn’t seem like they’re in danger of her going back
