They can't trot out the "off his meds" excuse for Sonny like when he tried to kill Jax so just being bi-polar makes it okay to kill AJ. Because...reasons.

Kim Richards: No Escape from Witch Mountain
thewhiteowl replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Kim is like a slo-mo trainwreck. While I don't really care what happens to her or what she's doing or even where the hell she is, I can't totally look away. lol Actually that's not true. I have more compassion for those victims of a trainwreck than I do for Kim, my compassion for her is burnt out.- 6.9k replies

No, I don't want to see that either. I do see tons of chemistry and I liked Milquetoast in his scenes with her (mostly) it doesn't make any sense for the characters. Quinn doesn't hit it and quit it. She was with Bill and wanted a relationship there and now with Deacon and married him. I don't think it is in her character to do that but ( and it's a big but) characters change on a whim in Bell-A. With Steffy, it isn't the "crime" that's going to bite her in the cha-cha, it's the cover up. I hope.

I don't recall if I have seen him on anything else but I don't know many actors that could pull this off. He has had a few scenes where I could see that there is a really good actor in there but most of the time he is such a Melvin Milquetoast. He looks like he puts in the minimal effort required to do that.

I learned about Trash Polka from Tattoo Nightmares(?) Miami. A former Ink Master contestant was on that, I don't recall his name but he was about 4 feet tall with a two foot mohawk. It's new and different but ultimately not to my taste. I think it will be equivalent of tribal in a few years but to each their own. It's different that the female artists have stuck around this long, I think. While Marisa is past her expiry date IMO I think Duffy is losing her confidence. I like how Katie always swings for the fences even if she's not always hitting a homer, she is damn sure giving it her all. The guys are the same as always. Nothing new there.

Spoilers and Speculation: Clink Boom and Cheese Fondue
thewhiteowl replied to BestestAuntEver's topic in General Hospital
I have enjoyed the lack of Sonny/Carly being the center of the show but I don't think the ratings reflect that. They are low and TIIC must think that putting Sonny back front and center will fix that. I can see why they'd think that but they will lose this viewer. -
Maybe here? Or did you mean TV movies?

I don't consider this show a CBS soap so I don't need to see or know about the character's personal life unless it impacts the case. I think they have done fairly well with tying those together, when they do it. Other than that, I just want to see them doing their jobs, actually profiling. That was what made the show interesting to me. YMMV.

I think (with no evidence at all except for the soaps I currently watch) that the current crop of soap "writers" kind of dismiss Marland's Rules as old-fashioned. For a kinder, gentler time in soap history. Most new characters are tied to the canvas but there are so many newbies it becomes a joke. JMO

It was relevant, IMO but then I'm just a Mod. ; )

Wasn't the gal we are discussing in episode one?
-
I disagree. I think it's relevant since they were considering giving her a TC spot. Or may be forced to by fan votes. If she drops out because she finds the costume too skimpy once she has it on they have wasted a spot someone else may have appreciated.

The thing for me is that's it is an easy call. Blackmail is wrong even if you are blackmailing a murderer. When you have a character like Ivy, who has been a "good" guy then you must give them a compelling reason to do the wrong thing. Ivy could have good reason as runthetable has stated and I could buy almost any of those but the show is not showing or even telling us what her reasoning is. I don't know why I should think they would since this show has characters change personalities and motivations (when you do get one) on a whim and usually without any explanation. see: Maya and her instant re-torch for Rick. Good characters can be driven to do the wrong thing by rage or love but Ivy doesn't even seem very pissed about anything nor in love with anyone so the question just remains. Until it's forgotten like the rest of the plot points.

Retro B&B: When the Beautiful Were Also Bold
thewhiteowl replied to Anna Yolei's topic in The Bold And The Beautiful
She would pwn those basic twits. lol Actually, I'd watch that. -
Agree completely, the problem for me is that "right" isn't a one-size-fits-all thing. That's okay, different strokes and all. I wonder who they will retcon to be bisexual? Thomas is the likely choice and the easiest retcon since we don't know much about him and he wears blouses. Rick would be an interesting choice with his love for pink and lavender and easy reaction to Maya's retcon. But then I'd have to see more of him, so just no. None of the younger men are what I'd call manly, they are all pretty metrosexual so it could be anyone based on looks.
