  1. We just found this show. We loved Nicola Walker in River and then watched Unforgotten and loved her in that. So went looking for more. I have to say we are enjoying the show - so far only seen up to the first episode of Season 2 - but at the moment we are fed up and disgusted with Hannah. What a bloody hypocrite! She knows how she felt when she found out that Nathan had had casual sex with another woman 4 times, so she thinks it's perfectly okay to start an affair, complete with emotions involved, with another man? And still looking at his e-mails and laptop trying to make sure he's not cheating on her again? What the actual eff, lady! Despite that, we are still definitely on Team Nathan. I don't care what she tells herself, Hannah has a basically good marriage with Nathan. He's a good man, a good father, and he makes her laugh. You can't watch some of those family scenes and not feel the real love and affection there. She's obsessed like some dumb teenager with "the one who got away." And we hate Christie. With a passion. He's a complete asshole. He tells her when she's considering coming to his firm that there won't be an issue, and then he's constantly hitting on her. Then once she starts sleeping with him, he has absolutely ZERO sense of decorum. Make out in the office? Text her 20 times a night while she's at home with her husband? He's a smarmy, selfish, prick, and I want him to get hit by a bus. And I want her to have a near-death experience that wakes her the eff up to how good she has it. She's acting like a lovesick teenager mooning over the football captain. We love the underlying stories of the different clients. They're very well done and well told. Nobody's really a caricature; they're so far mostly fleshed out real people. I don't know what's going to happen in the rest of the second season, but if Nathan doesn't find out she's having an affair, it will only be because he is the least curious person in the entire world. Christie is not trying to hide it; personally I think he wants Nathan to find out. I think he's been jealous of Nathan for getting the woman he wanted. And if it goes the other direction and Hannah ends up with Christie, my bet is that he gets tired of her after a bit and cheats on her, too. I'm not at all convinced he loves her as much as he loves the idea of stealing her away from Nathan. Glad to see that other people are enjoying the show as well. I'm hoping that Season 3 will be available on Hulu soon.
  2. So much this! Yes, she's been "consistent," but she hasn't grown as a dancer, and I rarely feel anything watching her. It's very by-the-numbers, never exciting or special. Unlike Suni who just brought the emotion the last few weeks. She'd finally broken out, and the judges dumped her for Amanda. I had figured she would make the final, but I thought Suni would as well, and I blame the judges for that. She had 2 beautiful dances tonight and was in a tie for 3rd and just a few points ahead of the excreable Cody? The judges have consistently underscored Suni, and it's been really pissing me off. Anyway, I figured Cody would be gone because he's so clearly the worst dancer left. But I figured the final four would be Iman, JoJo, Suni and Amanda.
  3. I am so disgusted by tonight's ending. Who tf is voting for Cody? He's not a good dancer, and he has no personality. He's at the bottom of the leaderboard practically every single week. Why is he still there? Aargghh! Is this season going to be Bobby Bones all over again? Gross! Suni is a beautiful dancer, she's got a great partnership with Sasha, she's adorable and sweet. She was my favorite, and I never dreamed she wouldn't make it to the end. She earned a spot, and I hate the judges for voting for Amanda. Amanda dances well, but she's the same very week. Judges basically even said so. She was consistent. But she hasn't really grown much since the beginning, but apparently you can't vote off someone who talks about their dead husband, I guess. Ugh. I figured the show wouldn't allow an all-female finale, so I thought Melora would go, and they would keep Iman, who has been getting better and better. I am just so disappointed. I like JoJo and Jenna. They have a great partnership. But I have misgivings there because JoJo is a professional dancer. It's like if they'd let Jenna come on as a contestant after her season on So You Think You Can Dance. So I have mixed feelings there on whether I want to see them win or not. I like Iman and Daniella - I think I may actually want to see them win since it won't be Suni and Sasha. Don't particularly like or dislike Amanda as a person but she doesn't inspire as a dancer, despite the fact that she dances well. Cody is a waste of space. I really need to stop doing this to myself. I should just wait and watch the show on Hulu on Tuesday and fast forward through everything but the actual dances. And learn to stop getting invested in certain couples because far more often than not, I end up disappointed and disgusted like tonight. <sigh>
  4. I just found this show and just watched that episode. Am I correct in thinking that the dog had something to do with Jenny's sister's death and that's why the father shot the dog? Those rapid-fire flashbacks are really hard for me to follow sometimes.
  5. Congratulations to Artem! I'm so happy he finally got a mirror ball. I adore him, and he's more than paid his dues with duds. Not crazy about Kaitlyn, but I did enjoy her freestyle. I was kind of hoping Justina would win. She was so joyous!! And really fun to watch. I think hers was my favorite freestyle of the night. She should not have ended up 4th. Glad neither Nev nor Nelly won. Nev never really grew on me, and Nelly just was not very good. Was it just me or did the freestyles seem kind of blah compared to past years? While I enjoyed Kaitlyn's and Justina's, they didn't wow. Tyra is a terrible host. Too over-the-top. Too "it's all about me." Tom always knew he was the sidekick not the star and did not draw attention to himself. Tyra doesn't get that. And seriously, what do the wardrobe people have against her? She's a beautiful woman, but of all the outfits she wore this season, only a couple of them were actually flattering to her. That loofah she was wearing at the beginning was just ridiculous and made her look like she weighed about 300 pounds. Ugh. At least Artem won so yay!
  6. So sad to see Johnny go. He was one of the ones I tuned in for, and he did not disappoint. I loved both of his dances tonight. And it really sucked that he got rushed off at the end with barely an acknowledgement. Thank you, Derek, for pointing out how well he has done and that he should be really proud of what he accomplished. I'm afraid Nelly is going to win it all. He clearly has a huge fan base. He's not as bad as Bobby Bones, but he's also clearly the weakest dancer left and has been for a couple of weeks. Kaitlyn's first dance was pretty, but it felt unemotional. My husband put it that she has the steps down but not the character. I did love her second dance, though. At this point I'd most like to see Justina take it all. Don't know why but I haven't really warmed up to Nev, and I don't get excited about him. Definitely don't want to see Nelly take it. I love Artem and think his choreography has been mostly really good this season, so while I'm not a Kaitlyn fan, I'd be happy if Artem won.
  7. Okay, to start off - what week is it??? They were talking initially about the quarter-finals and then they were talking semi-finals. Right now we've still got Johnny, Justina, Kaitelyn, Skai, Nelly, and Nev left. That seems like a lot to be going into the semi-finals unless they're doing a double elimination this week? I was so surprised to see AJ and Johnny in the bottom 2. Should have been Nelly and Skai, I thought. Nelly is likeable, but he's easily the worst dancer left. He can be fun to watch when he's relaxed, but I want more than that at this stage of the game. Skai's spin-stop was spectacular, but as others have mentioned, she's all arms and legs, very gangly, and she always looks a bit scared. It seems like she should be near the end of the road. Not a fan of Nev. He's dancing generally seems good, but I don't find him particularly exciting. But I'm guessing he's a lock for the finals. I'm not a real fan of Kaitlyn, but I do love Artem. And I did think her AT was really beautiful, but her Cha Cha was uninspired. I do always enjoy Justina - she's got some skills, and she's always just so much fun to watch. I rarely get my wish, but my final four preference would be Johnny, Justina, Kaitelyn and Nev. With the finish being in the order I listed them but okay with any of the first 3 winning. Just not a fan of Nev.
  8. So we're off and running (dancing?) on the new season. Tyra - I usually like Tyra okay, but I did not like her on this show tonight. As others have said, this was the wrong time to fire Tom. He would have been so much better at making things seem less awkward. Tyra was definitely trying too hard to be cute, funny, whatever? She just does not have Tom's natural charm and quick wit. And I was NOT a fan of either of those outfits. I don't think either one really flattered her figure, but I feel that way a lot with her clothes. Which I find odd for a model. I seriously hate that canned audience. Some cheering or clapping after the dancers are finished would probably be okay, I guess, as long as the noise leveling isn't overwhelming, but fake booing? Really? I don't even like "live" booing, but the fake booing is beyond absurd. So incredibly stupid. Overall, I was not going into this season with much enthusiasm at all, but I was pleasantly surprised last night. I thought most of the dancers did a decent to nice job, so it holds promise for at least some number of them to really improve with time and so end up being a good season. AJ + Cheryl: One of the ones I wanted to see. I thought he did a nice job. Really enjoyed the dance. Cheryl, I thought, was always one of the better pros at showcasing her partner. Chrishell + Gleb: This was not good. Have no idea still who she is and don't care. Still not a fan of Gleb, so this pairing will be no loss. She can leave 2nd or 3rd. Vernon & Peta: Not bad for a first dance. Anne + Keo: Anne is one of the people I was looking forward to. She said most people remember her for her movie with Harrison Ford, but I remember her from Volcano with Tommy Lee Jones. Loved that movie and loved her in it. Anyway, she was a lot of fun, and I thought Keo did a nice job with her. Not perfect, but she was fun to watch, and if she can improve, she could be a contender. Jeannie + Brandon: Don't know her at all, and not especially a fan of Brandon, but a nice job. Jesse + Sharna: Jesse is another one I was watching for, and he did not disappoint. I thought that was a really good Quickstep for Week One. Looking forward to seeing him again. Skai + Alan: Another I don't know, and Alan is okay as a pro, but not a favorite. But this was decent. Given how tiny she is, I'm thinking dances with lifts should be fun. Kaitlyn + Artem: <sigh> I love Artem, and I was so excited he's back. Also was terrified they were going to stick him with Carole Baskin. Instead he gets the second worst choice (in my world anyway) - a Bachelorette. I just have this natural, visceral, nope nope nope reaction to anyone who was on either of those shows. Just ugh. So this is hard for me. She's a good dancer, and she and Artem could go far. But I don't like her. Still I guess I'll have to vote for them to support Artem. But I won't be happy about it. Nev + Jenna: I thought Jenna looked really nice in that sort of 40's hairstyle. Never heard of Nev, but he seems personable, and I really enjoyed that dance. Johnny + Britt: Johnny was another one I was looking forward to seeing, and he did not disappoint. It wasn't great, but I thought it was a nice solid performance, and I think he'll get better as he gets more comfortable with a partner. Justina + Sasha: I had heard of her show but didn't know her, but boy was that fun! This was my favorite dance of the night. She was having a blast, and it just radiated out of her. Dancing was good, too. And I do like Sasha as a pro, so these two are my current front runners to win. I know it's early. 🙂 Charles + Emma: Love Emma, but I don't think she'll be around long. This was typical "old person can't really move" stuff. But nice to see Charles. Monica + Val: Another person I'd never heard of, but she did a decent job. Nelly + Daniella: Don't care about her, and never heard of him. But it was a solid, if not inspiring, dance, and he seems personable. Has a great smile. Carole + Pasha: No. Just no. She needs to go first. I thought Derek did a nice job as a judge. He seems to enjoy that. Nice to see Len. I like Bruno with his silver hair. Was it my imagination or did he seem a little "subdued" for Bruno? That's not a complaint, by the way. He could still stand to tone it down a bit more. Carrie Anne was Carrie Anne. I have to say that the paired-down dances with just the couple are nice. No big overblown productions with 6 troupe dancers hiding the celebs missteps. Now, if they could just stop with the funky lighting. And we really don't need streamers/confetti/whatever falling down after nearly every dance. I still remember the first season with a small dance floor and just the couples with no fancy lighting or special effects. It was really nice. I miss that sometimes. So this is a nice change. Also - yay! No band singers butchering songs! Some things to be really excited about for this season.
  9. My husband and I just got finished watching Haven on Netflix. We somehow missed it originally. We really enjoyed the show for the most part. It's funny, though. My husband was Nathan/Audrey all the way and was only satisfied with the ending because Audrey came back as Paige, and she and Nathan could be together. I could never understand why Audrey was into Nathan when she could have had Duke. Really, Audrey? My husband made a comment about women "liking the bad boys," and I got mad at him. Long before Mara pointed out the obvious about Duke, I knew back in Season 1 that he was probably the most decent character on the show and that his persona was largely an act. And I got so damn tired of everyone blaming Duke for everything. WTF is wrong with the people in that town that they all act like Duke wanted to give them troubles and wanted to kill them and just totally ignored how often he was the one who stepped in to help, even though they all had memories like goldfish and couldn't remember 10 seconds later that he'd saved the town. Again. God, even Audrey turned on him for a few seconds at the end before she came to her senses and remembered Duke's the good guy. Nathan was a selfish prick. For me any contest there might have been between Nathan and Duke was ended when Duke recognized Audrey's right to make her own decision about going back into the barn while fucking Nathan told her she couldn't go and then shot Howard. But did anyone blame that moron for what happened after that? A little lip service, but that was all. It was still all Duke's fault. I cried when Duke died but I was glad we got to see one more glimpse of the Duke we'd come to know and love at the very end. Dwight was way hotter as a viking. I missed his long hair, but I guess that new short look was befitting being the police chief. Loved Gloria and especially loved that she knew what a good person Duke was and always stood up for him. I'm glad they didn't kill her off. William Shatner as Croatoan was a let down. In fact Croatoan itself was a let down. I don't know. After all that build up, I wanted Croatoan to be someone like Samuel L. Jackson or something. Some real scary badass and not some out-of-shape regular-dad-looking person. It was just weird. Nothing against William Shatner, but he just didn't do 'evil' well enough for Croatoan to be scary once we could see him. But it was kind of amusing to see Vince and Dad (did he even have a name that we knew of?) hanging out in the new barn. I wonder how much fun it was for the actors to play the switched roles? I thought Eric Balfour in particular did a great job being Nathan, and Lucas Bryant made a pretty good Duke. They managed to get most of the mannerisms down right. Vince and Dave were a bit less successful in their switched roles, but still did a respectable job of it. All things considered, we thought it was a pretty enjoyable way to spend several weeks' worth of evenings. I'm glad we found the show, even though it wasn't perfect. Reading above that they changed show runners does make the inconsistency between the first few seasons and the last two make sense.
  10. Ugh. 2 seasons in a row with a totally forgettable winner. Blech. Will she at least go away now? James should have won. If not him then Kel. Hannah was just a whiny little bitch.
  11. I have no idea what her purpose was but I was glad she didn't stick around. She added nothing. It's like the character of Riley Cooper. She was there for 2 episodes then gone. It's like the only purpose she served was to make sure Frankie didn't get a permanent spot in Homicide.
  12. Yes. They all ended up falling down the rabbit hole to discover that the herd is being kept in some underground cavern. At least "our heroes" are up on the ledge instead of down in the pit with the walkers. But I am anxious because it seems like the deaf girl who is friends with Daryl and Jerry are both in that hole. I don't want to lose either of them.
  13. From webmd: Despite serious safety concerns, hemlock leaves, root, and seeds are used to make medicine. It is used for breathing problems including bronchitis, whooping cough, and asthma; and for painful conditions including teething in children, swollen and painful joints, and cramps. Hemlock is also used for anxiety and mania.
  14. I feel really sorry for Carol. When you think of what's she been through, it's amazing she can still function. She started off as an abused wife who was unable to protect her daughter. She transformed herself into a hard, cold, kick-ass fighter who "put down" a child who was a danger to them all. Then she allows herself to fall in love and adopt another child, and once again she is unable to protect that child. Honestly, she should be a stark-raving lunatic by now. I don't think they've necessarily done a great job at writing that, but gosh my heart goes out to her. It's like the world is conspiring to make sure she can never have any peace. I still like Daryl. I don't know why, but he's always been a favorite character. He's always seemed to me to be a lot smarter than the writers will actually let him be, and he should have put Carol on a leash during that last mission. Can someone please refresh my memory? Where did Aaron's kid come from? I do not remember when or where he picked her up at all. I also don't get the appeal of Alpha to her cult followers. While the idea of hiding among the walkers is smart, Michonne did it better and without becoming completely creepy and abusive. And I fail to understand her hatred of our folk. If she had left them alone at the beginning, they would never have even known she and her group existed. Both groups could have peacefully co-existed. But she started this by killing Jesus, which was totally unnecessary. She's really just another psycho like Negan. I think I almost want to see Negan kill her and then one of our group take out Negan. Be done with the two most boring villains in the history of cinema. Rosita. I don't even know what to think. That's some seriously messed up shit to have to deal with. It will be nothing short of miraculous if she doesn't end up on the crazy train with Carol. I have so many questions about the herd. Why are they underground? How did they get there? How will Alpha get them out when she needs them? Oh well. Guess we'll find out in a few months. I really hate these mid-season breaks. By the time the show comes back in February, I'll be like huh?
  15. This is such a shitty way to end the season. James has been my pick all season to win. Don't know wtf the judges were thinking. Also don't know what the audience was thinking with keeping the insipid Hannah around. I am so over all her whining and her tears. Oh boo hoo. I went on a fake tv show to find love, and it didn't happen. Wah wah. Yeah, lady, have you looked at the track records of those shows? Out of a combined 37 seasons, only 8 couples are still together. If you were stupid enough to think you'd find love, you deserve what happens to you. Ugh. What will it take to finally make you go away? At this point I'm really hoping for a Kel win. Ally would be my second choice. Still can't stand Gleb and don't want to see him get a mirror ball. And can't stand Hannah. Her 15 minutes of fame expired hours ago.
  16. I have always been a big fan of this show. I haven't missed an episode ever. But between the travesty that was Bobby Bones winning last year and the ridiculousness of the detestable Sean Spicer, I don't know what to think any more. I loved that the first show they talked about how the pros would be serving up more content. Yay! That's a definite improvement. But this voting? Boo! If I lived on the West Coast, I'm not sure I'd even bother to watch. At least not live anyway. Just catch the dances on YouTube or off your DRV at your convenience. I'm not one to vote for a dance I haven't seen, so any incentive to wtach it live is gone. There are several things that are beyond me this season. First is how is the horrific Spicer getting 7s? He stomps around the floor with absolutely zero grace. He's not fun to watch. And given all the lies he told for the Orange Overlord, I simply cannot find him "likeable" in any way, shape or form. His every appearance just reminds me how easily and earnestly he lied to the American public. That's disgraceful! I wanted him to be the first one booted off. And then when he started with all that crap about how the judges don't like him because he's "Christian?" WTF? He's about as Christian as my left boot. Ugh. Now that we've reached the stage where he's eliminating much better dancers, I have to really stop myself from wishing he'd just break a leg. And not in the good show business best of luck kind of way either. Another thing that's beyond me is how is James not at or near the top of the leaderboard every week? He is definitely one of the better dancers on the show this season. Last night he was definitely the best but still got tied with Kate (not a fan of hers but I did like her waltz) and Sailor (who I like but that was not a 27 performance!!). I know it's not as bad as it seems to me, but except for the first week, he has not been at the top of the leaderboard until last night, and most weeks it seems like he's in the middle of the pack somewhere. And I invariably end up at least once during the night asking myself, "how the heck did that dance score higher than James?" Oh well. Also, was it just me or was some of the lighting really horrible last night? Are they trying to give us all headaches? Tone it down, folks. Some of us actually want to be able to see the dancers! The pants weren't the best look for Erin last night, but I thought her hair, makeup and jewelry were all very nice. I do like her. Sometimes she can be a bit much, but overall I really enjoy her as the co-host. At this point James is my favorite by a hair. I also really like Kel. I didn't know who Kate was before this show, and there's something about her that puts me off. Not quite sure what, though. But I thought she did a lovely VW last night, and I give her mad props for not either falling over or throwing up (or both) after all that spinning! But it was the most Viennese-Waltz-looking VW that I ever remember seeing on the show. It's a beautiful dance. Not that you'd know from watching Spicer. Ugh. Outside of Spicer, I like (to a greater or lesser degree) all of the other contestants, and I think they're all doing a creditable job (even Sailor and Karamo). Spicer is the vinegar that's curdling the milk. I do love Lindsey but that's not enough to get me to vote for Spicer. Oh well. Not sure where I'm going with all this. Just needed to vent maybe. The way things are going, this could well be DWTS' last season. I'm not sure it can survive both Bobby Bones and Sean Spicer back to back. Which is too bad. Would love to see it go out on a high note when it finally ends.
  17. Except to me if they don't live here, then it's not America that has the talent. I don't care when they're living here, but if they're just visiting for the purpose of competing, what's the point?
  18. We were disappointed to see Ryan and Emmane get through. I thought the comic was not that good on Tuesday - it was his weakest performance of all - and I seriously HATED Emmane's performance on Tuesday. As far as I was concerned, she totally ruined that song. It was absolutely god-awful. And do these judges forget that there's a damn child opera singer practically every single frickin' season? And the first one on won her season? I am over child opera singers. Yes, it sounds lovely, but give her a few years to mature before you crown her the greatest thing since sliced bread. Alex, on the other hand, was amazing every single time. What he does is far more unusual and would have made for a more varied finale. As it is, we are - once again - drowning in singers and singing groups. Also, can someone please explain why they bother to call it "America's Got Talent" when it seems like 80% of the acts are from foreign countries? Can we just start calling it "Some People Have Talent" and be done with the erroneous idea that we're seeing American talent? Sorry to sound so grumpy, but we thought last week's semi-final was great, but were pretty disappointed in the way the Dunkin Save went this time. And I am so over the judges gushing over child opera singers. You'd think they'd never heard one before. Sheesh.
  19. I honestly didn't even remember who Krystall was. Just shows you how much I cared about *that* story line anyway. <lol> Otherwise, I liked the episode pretty well. I don't really follow the news about shows, and I haven't been to this forum in a while, so is Reid leaving the show? He's my favorite character, and I'd really miss him. I was wondering if the sabbatical to teach was a way of writing him off the show or if he'll still be around?
  20. Thank you. We caught something about a place you don't belong, but we couldn't make out anything from the beginning, so it made no sense. Not that it makes any more sense knowing the whole thing. Unless they simply meant they shouldn't be out walking around in the woods?
  21. So so disappointed in this show right now. And a bit pissed. We've lost so many great characters, and now we lose Jesus, too? With all the talk about him being a great leader if he'd stop fighting it, I was so looking forward to him coming into his own as the head of the Hilltop crew. Instead, they kill him off. :( So not fair. Am I mis-remembering or didn't the riders from Hilltop tell the group last week that they were going to let Hilltop know Michonne was coming? Because I was completely unprepared for all that running and hiding when the group was spotted because I was sure they already knew they were on the way. Negan is loose again. I was so expecting someone to be lying in wait for him to kill him as he got out of the building. But no. A character I would like to see die is still around. Ugh. I love JDM but I despise Negan. And I have zero desire to watch him try to become "The Big Bad" again. Your time is up, old man! Maggie should have killed him when she had the chance. He's the ultimate "scream" movie beast - no matter what you do to it, it just keeps getting back up again. Blech! And I'm kind of pissed because I feel like we've missed what would have been the most interesting storyline - seeing how the communities got to where they are. I am beyond fed up with all the teasing about it - after everything they've been through, it's hard for me to imagine just what could have come between them like that. And since they've told us so very little - just a few obscure references to some "decisions" - it doesn't make sense but at the same time, it feels like THAT is the story they should have been telling us. Maybe at some point we'll get to see it in flashbacks? But right now it seems like the far more interesting story. I was shocked when they made Michonne and her group throw out their weapons before entering Hilltop and being told they'd get them back when they left. That smacks of there having been a fight between the communities at some point. Again, lots of questions but no answers. Not even really hints at answers. And the nagging feeling that there's a good chance we'll never really know what happened and why but we'll see a reconciliation as they fight the whisperers (and probably that idiot Negan again), which leads to a stronger feeling that that is the story they should have been telling us now. I do like the new characters mostly. Except maybe Magna? She kinda seems like Michonne-light or something. And I know I am in a minority of probably one in saying that I like Tara. Or at least she doesn't grate on me the way she seems to on most. She's one character that has been steadily growing and seems to kind of come into her own as a good right-hand man. And I did love the whole hunt for Eugene and the whispering walkers (although I could not understand most of what they were saying, even after rewinding several times, and by the time I thought to turn on the closed-captioning, it was too late - so if anyone knows what the walker said to Jesus as he was killing him, I'd love to know. Thank you in advance!) and the creepy foggy cemetery. That was really good, I thought. I hate these long breaks, though. What did they say - it will be back in March or something? By then I'll be watching going who the hell is that at every other character. Speaking of characters, if they want to develop some of the peripheral characters more, I vote for them to bring the woman who left Hilltop with Carol into a bigger role. I have no idea what her name even is, but we've always liked her, and she seems like a character that could be fleshed out more. And, as someone else mentioned, we need more Jerry.
  22. Well, that was a disappointment! Bobby is without a doubt the worst winner ever. We saw some beautiful dancers go before their time and ended up with a "winner" who could barely move. And mileage definitely varies on whether he was really entertaining. For me, he was not. I'm happy for Sharna that she finally got a win, but she should have gotten it earlier with some of her other partners. I can't imagine she would be all that proud of this one. Keo did a wonderful freestyle - I loved how he let Evanna be front and center and dance by herself. What a great showcase for her. Also loved Witney's choreography for Milo, and he danced it beautifully. Did not like Alan's choreography, and I find it hard to imagine how Sharna could possibly have choreographed any less for Bobby to do. That he got 30s for that just means the others should have gotten 11s and 12s because to give them all perfect scores was just kind of insulting to the others. I did not care for this one night finale at all. I liked having them do the three dances with the fusion dance on the second night. It sucks that people on the West Coast couldn't vote for the winners. I missed seeing the behind-the-scenes stuff. I missed seeing all of the previous contestants returning to dance. It all just felt so rushed. This was not an improvement as far as we were concerned.
  23. Like many, glad to see Joe gone but can't believe JP is also gone. Although honestly I have to admit that I do not dislike Bobby as much now as I did at the beginning, and I do think he's shown improvement, much more so than Joe ever did. So I can live with his being in the finale, but I am beyond irritated at losing some really good dancers like Tinashe and JP to get him there. Evanna and Milo got all my votes last night. Would someone please clue me in on what happened between Emma and Gleb? I was just coming back in from the kitchen, and I saw Emma's reaction, but I didn't see what happened. I assumed maybe she'd slipped or there had been some kind of mishap she was laughing off, but from some comments on here, it doesn't sound like that was the case. TYIA! Lastly, am I the only one who finds it a bit weird/borderline creepy when male celebs dedicate a dance like the AT to their mothers?
  24. Who the hell is voting for Joe and how do we make them stop?
  25. I respectfully disagree. First, from the way that water was running in the river, it would have been pretty loud. Second, helicopters aren't that loud when they're further away. When they're right over you or in relatively close range, yes. They're wicked loud. But at a distance, not so much. Third, the folks at the bridge would have to have spotted the helicopter when it was well up in the air in order to be seen through all those trees. Once it started to descend, it would have been pretty well shielded from sight. Fourth, I'm pretty sure the folks at the bridge had their minds and emotions well occupied with having just watched Rick die (or so they thought). You've got Michonne screaming and crying, Maggie and Carol trying to hold her back, Darryl had to turn his back. Fifth, there's the sound of the fire itself that was still raging on the bridge. Fires are loud up close. (Oh, and the smoke would have helped obscure the helicopter.) And sixth, while I don't remember the scene that vividly, going by your description, the helicopter was coming in on the other side of Jadis, so not coming in from the bridge side. Jadis can see the smoke but not the bridge, so again unless they spotted it when it was high in the air, the people at the bridge probably would not have been able to see the helicopter. So that part didn't seem all that far-fetched to me. Except she first said he was a B and then changed that to an A. He certainly wasn't volunteering for anything. We really just don't have enough information to go on to know what that was all about, and I'm guessing we'll never know, and that's annoying. They shouldn't throw in something like that if they didn't plan to explain it.
