Even getting themselves eliminated is insufficient punishment for the Track Stars to escape my TV-wrath; the Paparazzi were >< this close to being eliminated until the Track Stars decided to embrace their own inability to read a clue. Argh. One more week of the awful Chris and Logan. I was enjoying Justin until he got all pissy about being 2nd. Dude, the only 1st place finish that matters is the last one.

Well, if Candace's dress was Nancy Kerrigan, I guess we all knew who got Tanya Harding. (Sorry, Edmund, but you know I'm right). I expect the Tim Gunn save AND I think the TG Save is WHY they aufed Edmund instead of Ashley. Otherwise, the Save goes unused all season. Which for us is fine, but I'm sure production requires it be used.

That right there was worth the entire episode. I really hope Tom and Lorenzo make a GIF of that; it was classic. I'm only sorry that the camera angle couldn't give us Nina's face in the shot. But even the back of her head was screaming AYFKM?!? I think this was their 2nd trip to Mood. But it's ridiculous that they are on episode 8 and have only been twice. But what she came up with was actually clothing. Unlike Laurie's entry. Which, seriously, I think I could put together by stapling some of what I have in my remnants bin in the sewing room. Who the heck besides Laurie would send ANYONE down a runway without a lining in that Totally-Not-a-Bustier bustier made of shower curtain rings. (well expensive ones, since the fabric was over $100/yard, but still). I have actual windows that are more opaque. I've like Laurie since Episode 1 but she's very lucky that Heidi hates Lindsay because if anyone else had been sharing the bottom this week, Laurie would be gone. and deservedly so.

That better be the end of fucking Ramsey; I don't EVEN want to see HIM resurrected, although the camp was kind of fun. I still think "The President" is on Ramsey's side.

Just one nitpick. The neighbor knew the daughter planned to harm the dog. Neither daughter wanted to hurt the Mom. Neighbor just decided to off the Mom and make it look like the daughter who intended to harm the dog did it. While it's possible I'm misremembering, I seem to recall a long ago bantering session between the two about men without all their teeth. I think the line was a throw back to that.

They killed Suzie! You bastards! Like evryone else, I hope it was in service of the actress getting the lead in something really awesome. It seemed to me that the picture on the new guy's phone was military--maybe one of those friends he lost in Iraq? I suspect we'll hear more on that. I'm really going to miss Suzie--tertiary or not, I liked her.

Regardless of Tim Hortons' successful (or not) US expansion generally, they have a fairly strong presence in/around the Norfolk, VA area, including one ON Naval Station Norfolk. The leaf raking thing? I'm giving Chandler the benefit of the doubt that he was just seeking a mundane activity to approximate normality in his life. "If I do this like I always did this, then the garbage service will show up like it always showed up." It's not rational, but it's not surprising that's his fall back.

I don't know who Jimbo the Ginormous Douchecanoe should fear more: the Wrath of Boris, the Wrath of Divya, or the Wrath of Viewers Incensed that He Made Jeremiah Cry. I think my money might actually be on Evan R. Lawson for the smack down. And seriously, Divya, are you REALLY going to fuck over Raj AGAIN????

S30.E14: It's A Fickle, Fickle Game / S30.E15: Worlds Apart Reunion

I'm fine with Mike winning; I would have been fine with Carolyn winning. I was a bit surprised Carolyn didn't get more votes, but then I realized she'd aligned with the men on the season who would NEVER have voted for a woman over a man. She would have had to bring a woman's alliance to FTC in order to win. I'm happy enough with S31's cast. Shirin and Kass are the only castmembers that I didn't vote for. -
What's with all the :::::gasp!!!!:::: ICANNOTWORKFORDoDBECAUSEMYWIFE'SJOB!!!!!! ::::swoon::: NSA is part of DoD and they've never been terribly bothered by the conflict before.

They really should have ended the whole thing with Bob Newhart waking up next to his wife, "Honey, you wouldn't BELIEVE how weird THIS dream was...." It would have made the unresolved issues less problematic. And it would have been funny. :)

Extensive records of the proceedings of the two Continental Congresses exist, in the form of minutes of the proceedings, letters of the delegates, letters from Washington to the Congress. We have a plethora of information about what happened and who did or said what.

I'm doing my bit; I've been posting about it on my FB page, and recommending it specifically to friends of mine who tend to love the same shows I do. I really do love this show--more every week. And I was expecting Paige and either Todd or Xavier--the Sean thing was totally unexpected even though I knew he was coming back (based on last week's previews). And I'm weirded out about next week's previews.

As much as I like Henry Thomas as an actor, his John Adams was like Clark Kent.

I'm watching *and* enjoying, but I've been working tons of OT so my online time is limited. It's *not* bad, but the 2nd Continental Congress bits kind of drove me batshit. What happened to any mention at all of the South nearly walking out over slavery?? And the bit with Dickinson was unpardonable. He when it became evident he was going to lose the issue of independence, he quit Congress and went to fight FOR independence. There's lots more wrong with that whole bit, but they sullied his good name, imo.

I enjoyed it as far as fiction goes, but I'm not even a particular history scholar and the anachronisms (like the background piano music at John Hancock's King George 3's birthday party) were pretty obvious. Inasmuch as it might spark an interest in people to learn how things really happened, yay! Inasmuch as it's a fun, fluffy fiction piece, yay! But I worry too many people are going to thing this is how it went down. And that's a shame.

S01.E07: My Cousin Izzy / S01.E08: It's All In The Executions

Enjoyed Secret Mission and Poison Everyone songs, but I'm annoyed that there wasn't actually an ending. I can handle this being one and done, but c'mon, give us a pay off!! Maybe they'll come back with a one-off special that ties all the endings? Pretty please? -
They won me over this way, too. Not that I'm hoping they win, but if they do win, I won't be heartbroken over it. They come on awfully strong sometimes that I want to just throw the remote at the TV, but since they seem to take their mistakes in stride, and have the ability to laugh at themselves, I think they're good racers and are more fun to watch than they are aggravating. When Brooke and Robbie are busy just doing a task, I enjoy watching them, too, but I am SOOOO over their self promotion in the confessionals. And Brooke's "I'm Secretly Evil" schtick was tired before it began.

S25.E06: I Feel Like I Just Kissed A Goat

Still liking the Cyclists and Adam and Bethany as my two favorite teams. But, and I kind of dread mentioning it, there were several moments tonight when Misti and Jim didn't completely annoy me. The first was Jim at the Roadblock, when Misti was walking the bridge and rather than say something stupidly competitive, he said something like, "Well, as long as she's safe." And then at the mat, the two of them snarked on their own teeth and Misti's laugh was genuine and real....and endearing. Dammit, I'm going to end up liking them by the end (although I still like the Cyclists and Adam/Bethany better.) Who wouldn't? Bethany is a total badass :) -
I initially liked Val; she seemed to take the Exile Island thing well, kept the idol information close to her vest. Seemed like she knew the game pretty well. But she seems also to have fully embraced the idea that "going to EI means missing out on vital alliance making time"--which is nuts. And from there on out, her actions seemed to be self-fulfilling prophecy, mixed with a lot of self-unaware tone deafness. Avd then this week, way too aggressive play considering her lack of an idol, an alliance, and any sight of the merge (aka early days in the game). By the end, I wasn't surprised to see her go, nor particularly disappointed. Plus I'm holding a big grudge that she didn't beat Rocker to the idol. Speaking of which, is it just me, or have the producers actually put the idol in a non-obvious to anyone without a clue location?

No, he said, "You're a healer"--basically the medical arts were often considered to be more a matter of magic than knowledge/skill.

Claire's not an "old maid"; she's a known widow.

I didn't think that much happened in the 20th century in this book.

WatchrTina, I noticed the same thing about Mrs. Fitz. (edited to remove comparisons). Sorry.
