  1. I noticed this too. Sadie is totally sending gossip to websites like TMZ and whatnot about Rayna and Luke and their discord. This is why they shipped off Tandy, so Rayna will have somebody new to turn to and trust, who will end up stabbing her in the back. I think it will come up eventually that she sent that picture of Rayna in the wedding dress to some websites. I can't tell if she is trying to sabotage Rayna to dethrone her as a country star by making her look like celebrity trash or if she is obsessed with her and thinks this is the way into Rayna's good graces by being there for her. I do think that Juliette will be the one who notices what a mess Sadie is and brings it to Rayna's attention or decides to take down Sadie herself. I really do wish the writers would explore the friendship b/t Rayna and Juliette more. They have so much in common, and Juliette always turns to Rayna when she needs help with issues that are too large for her to figure out on her own, in other words she sees her as a mother figure.
  2. I agree about Rosie O's kids, I grew up watching her original talk show and remember when she finally announced the arrival of Parker, and the rest of her brood. I feel I know them as well, and yes I realize that is a weird thing to say. When they introduce these videos from youtube or whatever nonsense we don't get the hot topics we were promised at the start of the show. I remember that we never got the story and discussion of that Honey Boo-Boo story from this week, and in weeks past stories regarding Emma Watson, and others. I hate that we are promised discussion in hot topics of stuff I want to hear about and we get these damn viral videos that are pointless.
  3. I have a feeling that Layla's storyline will go the route of a cliffhanger of Layla entering a room w/a gun in her hand and drunk and swaggering (can't forget the swaggering, like a person who has drank all her life swirling a glass less than 1/4 full) looking for Will. Of course said room will include all the main characters and in the aftermath Layla and Jeff, possibly Will also, will be dead; Juliette will be shot as well, losing the baby, and let's throw in Zoey shot dead for posterity. It's a classic tv trope. I hate that also the writers had tweet the meaning of the flippant way that Rayna said that Deacon. Here is a thought writers, when you do a read through of the script with the actors, makes sure they know what to convey when saying your words. I'm guessing Connie didn't know how to convey those words so she went w/what she thought was best, imo it was like Rayna was being civil but also kind of pissed b/c she still considers the parents of Maddie to be herself and Teddy, and soon to be Luke. I also thought it was strange that Luke didn't go home to check on his son who helped throw said party, he instead decided to stay and bang his fiancee. If I had to guess I think it shows that he isn't as great a dad as he lets on. He just buys the kids what they want to get in their good graces and move on, that's why they are spoiled. So is the next episode a time jump by two months? If it actually is the Rayna at DWtS, she said in this episode they had two months to get a unreleased track ready to go. The part of Juliette firing Zoey, even though the tour was cancelled was what made it brilliant. Juliette could have just let it go since she knew of her limitations meaning no more tour, but she decided to still attack w/her fangs, it was awesome.
  4. Well to be fair to Rosie O, I believe Parker attended military school and I could see him asking his mother for a gun, and this was her way to concede to his request w/o allowing him to have an actual gun. Yes, I know a bb gun is still a gun, and can still do some damage to property, people, and even animals. Let's face it, many children promise their parents one thing, then turn around and do what they want, as in this case, telling a parent he won't bring the gun into the house, and did so anyways. I can also understand he probably hid the bb gun in his room, then his younger sibling went snooping in his big brothers room, found the gun, and mischief/damage to public property ensued. I received a bb gun when I was probably 13/14 years old, it was a Red Ryder bb gun. In some parts of the country it can be a right of passage, of course in my case it didn't butch me up like my dad had hoped and still came out to him. As with most bb guns it was probably still loaded from the last time Parker shot it, and it's very possible Parker allowed the younger brother to shoot it previously under his supervision w/o his mother's knowledge. It's strange, that later on a few hours after this episode I realized that Taylor Swift actually didn't perform on the show. It sure seemed that she had w/all the times they played that single over and over throughout the show, but I wonder why Swift didn't actually perform. I hope Rosie O ripped into the producers after the show for having that real housewives of whatever woman on talking about making mixed drinks and nonsense in a room fool of younger kids. That interview should have been on a Friday pre-recorded show.
  5. I love Hayden on this show, she just knocks it out of the park. I was like hell yeah when she decided to control her situation and announce her pregnancy but then to also just confirm who the father was. This was all I could think of when I saw where Scarlet's storyline was headed, especially from last week. I hope that this doesn't offend anyone, it's just where my mind went. If it does, I apologize. I'm guessing the Ruke storyline will end w/Luke being abusive and hitting Rayna. All things seem to be pointing that way, especially since now he is pissed that she has chosen to campaign alone for the awards. I also agree that Luke's son did not seem to be into that kiss w/his soon to be new step-sister. Talk about not reading the room there Maddie. He was trying to be supportive and a shoulder to lean on and she interpreted that as kiss me...I hope she was somewhat drunk when she did that. I didn't see Juliette firing Zoey though, even though I should have expected that, it makes sense seeing as how she always has her eyes open for the next big thing that will trying and stab her in the back. Speaking of Zoey, are we done w/her character now? Can she leave town for good? She seems like the type of girl that wants to be w/guys but can't ever trust them. How dare you hang out w/your ex-girlfriend, my ex-now somewhat good friend, you must be sleeping together, oh wait you were throwing me a surprise party I guess all is forgiven for me being a bitch, oh wait now you are hugging this girl at your house so you must have been sleeping w/her since she is your ex-girlfriend. Knowing this show, Gunnar will explain everything except that he has a son to Zoey. Derek Hough can leave too, I mean he knows that Avery is Juliette's ex and the father of the child, yet he barges into a hospital room where the two are having a civil conversation...you know he was outside listening and wanted to stir up some stuff. So Jeff hasn't played his hand yet in regards to setting Teddy up w/hookers in order to get Rayna's kids signed to his label. I figured he would drop that ultimatum right when he informed Teddy of the hookers. Let's face it, Jeff is skeevy enough that you know he has video footage from the pool showing Teddy getting it on w/said hooker...er escort. I bet Jeff has cameras hidden all over his house. I forgot to add the wonderful acting by the actress playing Layla....I loved her scenes in the hotel room acting all drunk and holding the glass like a seasoned pro. Pouring less than 1/4 in the glass, and just....ugh such bad acting. Get this girl off my screen now.
  6. Personally I'm tired of all the youtube clips of kids and pictures and videos of the hosts kids or grandkids or family members. Granted, Nicole confusing the photo of her sister at the world series game was funny, but other than that, i'm just tired of it. I think I hate the youtube clips b/c Whoopi has to narrate or dubbed w/her damn accents. I don't mind them telling stories about family members, of course that beats Elisabeth creating stories about things kids did that were just obviously weren't true. Just a rant I suppose.
  7. Kalinda kept checking her phone during the meeting w/Linda Lavin b/c Alicia was in court and asked her to get some information for them in a timely manner, she was then interrupted by the caseworker. I can't figure out why Kalinda didn't tell said caseworker that she has a job to do and needed to either get this done now, or she will contact her when she has more free time.
  8. The sad part about the dumbing down of Elsbeth Tascioni these past two episodes, is that most creators open up the doors at some point during a show for a spin-off and Elsbeth was their best bet if they wanted to go that way. I'm not saying that a show w/Elsbeth and the Jill Hennessey character would have been perfect, but they built a very smart and nuanced character in Elsbeth, and fans reacted positively to her. I also can't imagine that they got Jill Hennessey's character for a minor part as Elsbeth's partner w/o thinking of spinoff eventually. The Kings have really messed things up this season, especially since now Jill Wexler has confirmed that Robyn as far as she knows has been Chuck Cunningham'd and sent away w/no explanation. Florrick, Agos, & Lockhart could have sustained two investigators easily. I mean hell, Robyn wasn't scared of Bishop like Kalinda was and she has proven herself to be just as good an investigator as she was trained by the best. I seriously hope that they redecorate the old LG offices, I have always hated the wood paneling décor, it dated the offices from the very beginning. I think something sleek looking would really differentiate b/t the two different inhabitants of the offices. I wouldn't be surprised if Cary jumps ship and goes back in cahoots w/David Lee and Canning. I mean isn't Chum-Hum and the wife more partial to Cary. Of course I could also see the Kings actually having Cary sent to prison b/c the tape evidence wasn't fabricated, just taken out of context. I've always thought they like the work conflict of a woman vs a woman, in this case Alicia vs Diane. I remember from watching reruns of the first season that Diane never really cared for Alicia and Will called her out on being threatened by other women in the office from before.
  9. Bitsy is on an extended vacation from Faux News due to some illness, surgery, or something....the general consensus has been having the stick removed from her ass.... ;-) Bitsy isn't saying what it is exactly that has her on leave, which is her right. The thing is she took leave like a week or two ago, so the View is a little behind on wishing her condolences unless they know something that we don't.
  10. I just want to say thank you Whoopi for saying what I was thinking when there was that audible sound at the beginning of hot topics. The first thing my mind went to was that Whoopi's last egg had dropped on the stage. This woman...I mean seriously, she is like Barbara Walters in needing to bring the attention back to her no matter what. Yes the sound interrupted RP's comment about being fat, but there was no reason for Whoopi to derail the conversation for some stupid joke that had no relevance at all in todays hot topics. Plus we got that damn valley girl accent again. Please ABC don't renew her contract. Ugh, I really thought they would just ignore the Elisabeth Hasselbeck mysterious surgery or whatever she has going on considering that her leave of absence from Faux News was weeks ago. Wow, that Barry Manilow duet was....it was something indeed. I don't mind all the plastic surgery he has had, celebrities need to look good these days to stay in the business, and being a gay celebrity with all the pressure to look youthful and hot....well women know what that's like so whatever. His voice was pitchy and just bad today. I don't know if he was coming off a cold or something but that was amateur singing and was horrible. When he told Whitney to sing it, that was just cringeworthy. I'm really getting tired of all these duet albums w/dead singers, and yes Barbara Streisand you are guilty as well. Just b/c we have the technology now to do this somewhat seamlessly doesn't mean it should be done. What is to come next, mixing two dead singers and manipulating their songs/words to form an album.....Let's see Judy Garland and Amy Winehouse the Christmas album, coming next holiday season 2015? Seriously?!
  11. All I have to say in regards to the idea that JM possibly being the reason Alicia and Kalinda can't share scenes anymore is that whenever Christine Baranski writes her memoir it's hopefully going to be juicy w/tales from the set of "Cybil" and hopefully "The Good Wife." This woman has got to have some good stories from on set feuds of the shows she has been involved with.
  12. Do you think the Kings are trying to hint to Matt Czuchry that they want him off this show b/c I have no other explanation for his storyline this season. Do you think he pissed off Julianna Marguiles as well? I really hope this is the last season b/c this show has gone off the rails so much in just what, four or five episodes. I can't believe they have messed up the character of Elsbeth Tascioni just to serve their damn storyline and make Alicia look like the more competent lawyer. I didn't mind when Diane joined the new firm and brought others from LG&C, but to tell me that all this was to lead FA&L back to the offices they started out in?! Seriously?! Just b/c Diane can't stand her new surroundings being posh and polished? Ugh... Howard freaking Lyman?! Really? I would rather they brought David Lee, at least he brings something to the table in regards to being an expert in family law. I have a question, could Diane possibly oust Cary as a partner/named partner by circumventing Alicia and getting a percentage of the partners on her side. I really think she could do this quite easily by bringing up how much money Cary is costing the partners in bail money and profits. Did we ever get a follow up to Alicia finding out that Bishop is bankrolling her campaign basically? Did she tell Eli, or the other guy?
  13. So now she is showing us how to make a basic cookie recipe and how to dip strawberries in chocolate....its just a matter of time before we get an entire episode on how to open a can or jar and how to boil pasta or melt butter in the microwave. I honestly don't know why I continue to watch this show, I learn more from actual cooks on PBS shows like ATK and Martha Stewart.
  14. Not to trudge up the past, but the incident you are talking about regarding Rosie and Kelly Ripa from Rosie's first stint on the View had to do w/Clay Aiken covering Kelly's mouth on the air, which is rude in itself imo. Kelly made a comment that she didn't know where Clay's hands had been, which to most viewers was her making a salacious comment on him being gay. Kelly played it off that it was flu season and that was the reason she was mad that he did that, but the inflection in her tone when she called out Clay on the air for placing his hand over her mouth spoke volumes about what she really meant by her comment. The one thing that Rosie wasn't expecting was Kelly to call into the View the next day on the air and get called out on it. I get that Kelly, and more importantly her husband, hang out w/gay guys all the time it seems but back then I don't recall her and her husband doing that as much publically. Rosie fights for the rights and causes for the people she feels needs someone w/a public forum and loud abrasive mouth that can get the attention to that cause.
  15. I doubt that the guy was the first and hardly the last that she has done this too. She has probably burned all the bridges w/her family and friends, and knows how to go about asking for money w/o actually asking for it for herself. The fact that she spent the cash on cigarettes and then spoke of how she might use the cash to go buy clothes right in front of the mark (let's face it, that is exactly what he was) shows how she has done this before. I've met people like that who can ask for money w/o actually asking by telling others their sob stories.
  16. I just watched the episode where the guy gave the woman he just met $400 for her aunt's electric bill or whatever. I just can't believe some people are so desperate to make friends like that. I really think Judge MM would have called the case a wash if the woman didn't go out of her way to ignore him for months at a time. I only say that b/c he gave her money after just meeting her, and within seconds of giving her cash, plus he gave her like almost $150 more than she needed, she was buying cigarettes at the convenience store in front of him. I just think he needed a lesson learned by the hands of Judge MM. I do understand they made a text agreement on the day it was to be paid back by. I just had no sympathy for both parties here.
  17. Wow, losing two of the cohosts, especially Whoopi, in one show really shows how much this show could and would be different if Rosie was the moderator today. There was a lot of tension b/t Rosie and Nicole today over the Ottawa shootings. I love that they both have a passion for facts here, but this so took me back to the days of Rosie and Elisabeth, to a degree of course. I want Rosie to be the moderator again, but not if it means her views/ideas should be the main consensus of the show.
  18. So is there some larger arc here regarding the team, including Barba, going against the Mayor and Deputy Chief of the SVU? I got the feeling the Judge flipped due to the Mayor or some larger power having an influence here. I'm thinking that Olivia is going to be knocked down a few pegs and her position will be jerked out from under her and given to somebody else. I know she is having a hard time juggling work w/new motherhood, but this just seems a little much here. Maybe this SVU squad has stepped on too many toes after 16 years, and now a big shakeup is coming.
  19. I thought that the faux-crying from Whoopi about Rosie's show, The Bridge, being cancelled was very distasteful. You could tell Rosie was pissed to have her feelings mocked like that, and I really hope at the end of the season that the producers choose to keep Rosie and lose Whoopi. I hate when Whoopi does her valley-girl accent, and the faux-crying, it's so annoying and dated, and in the case of the faux-crying it is like she is making fun of Rosie being upset her show was cancelled. I really dislike Whoopi on this show and she needs to go. I may be alone in my opinion, but in the case of Whoopi, and perhaps it's too soon Robin Williams, these once bright comedians keep doing the same old schtick from the beginning of their career that just gets tired, at least for me. From EGOT winner to this, it's just sad imo.
  20. I f-loved Nicole on Monday's show bringing up the fact that Shia LeBouf was a Disney star and was that part of the reason for his downward spiral. I don't know if she just didn't think before calling out Disney like that, or she knew what she was saying, but wow, talk about biting the hand that pays you. Whoopi's laughter was spot on as she was surprised Nicole just said that. Rosie did try to deflect, intentionally perhaps, by saying he was on the Nickelodeon network. I wonder if Babs and Bill had talk w/Nicole after the show about comments like that. I enjoyed the Valerie Plame interview as well, but yeah like someone else posted upthread, she was pissed about her work, that she was proud of, being compared to a tv show about a bipolar woman.
  21. I'm confused about something, when the son asked his father "do you still think about her" what did he mean? I don't know if i missed something in a past episode or what, but was the Tim Daley character married before?
  22. How cute was it when Nora corrected Max at the dinner table. I wonder if that was scripted or not, b/c Adam and Kristina seemed to be shocked by it. It was such a cute moment. I also was puzzled by the obvious puppy Max was holding in his arm when he wanted to cut his hair, they have had this dog for over a year now at least, no way should it still be that small. In regards to the poster who asked what the big deal was w/Max wanting to cut his hair, the reason his parents were against it was b/c his new crush was making fun of his hair, calling him a boy bander(sp?) I didn't get the big deal either, but I think it was b/c it was one of those scenes where everyone was talking over each other, then i finally realized he only wanted to do it b/c she was making fun of him. It was scary seeing Max not want to give up the scissors like that.
  23. Did anyone else see shades of our beloved Lorelai Gilmore in her response to Hank's daughter's comment on her outfit? It gives me such great hope that Lauren Graham isn't just a one trick pony and it's the writing on this show that is the issue here. Also, loved that Hank was direct to his ex in regards to his relationship to Sarah and that was the end of that subject; that is how Luke should have handled Anna in regards to his relationship. Okay, i'm off my GG rant here. The way that Hank told his ex that he hoped that he and Sarah were in it for the long haul basically tells me that rough waters are ahead when Mark Cyr comes back into the picture. I really thought that the scene w/Jasmine in bed was going to be the police at the door saying that Crosby was in an accident in the mini-van. I still think the writers are throwing us here by making us think it is either Zeke or Crosby in the death pool here, I still think that it's going to be Camille. I think she will end up forgoing her own health for Zeke. Julia and Joel....Julia and Joel... First, actually punish Sydney and whoop her ass. That girl controls those two like puppets, getting to just storm off while they ask her politely to come back and apologize properly. Second, go to goddamn counseling now, family counseling or couples, I don't care just bring in a third party again.
  24. I think it will go one of two ways with Juliette's pregnancy. The campy route would be that Juliette and Avery will reconnect and act civil and friendly, she will end up giving birth and then Avery will sue her for custody of their child stating to the judge that she is a horrible person thereby will be a horrible parent. The other way will be that Juliette and Avery will reconnect and act civil towards one another and fall back in love and make it work, Rayna will see all this happen and see what could have happened b/t Deacon and herself when she initially got pregnant with Maddie and this will lead her to dumping Luke and going after Deacon to get her happily ever after.
  25. So we are supposed to parallel Rayna James to Princess Diana/Kate Middleton in a sense? Seriously?! I was hoping in the car chase scene that they would get into another accident b/c of course when you are driving that fast to elude others you take your eyes off the road constantly like Sadie did to stare at Rayna. I agree w/others that Sadie has a huge girl crush on Rayna and was totally giving her the crazy eyes during their performance together; I couldn't tell if she didn't fully trust Rayna's reasons for signing her or it was something more. I'm calling it that Sadie is obsessed w/Rayna and will end up trying but failing to seduce Deacon and end up actually seducing/sleeping w/Luke and/or Teddy. Yeah, I can't see how Jeff thinks he can sign Rayna's girls w/just Teddy's signature. This plan just seems idiotic. I mean wouldn't Rayna just offer the girls a contract if there was nothing she could do to prevent this, thereby undercutting Jeff. Thank goodness that next week we get the cat out of the bag on Juliette's pregnancy secret from Avery. I mean seriously, how long could they stretch this out. I do like how she tells him from what we saw in the preview. It is the age we live in these days I suppose. You and me both...I do wish they had an album out b/c I enjoy them so much.
