This just reminds me of how they totally fucked up that Bope reunion. I was hoping for one last scene with Doug/Hope/Bo and that's probably not going to happen(unless the actors secretly returned and they already filmed one).

This isn’t a surprise but still sad. Not even a month in and out first major soap death of the year. I was hoping for one last scene with Doug and his Princess. I am glad we had that last Christmas with Doug/Julie. I can’t imagine Days without Doug he was the second longest cast member on the show. I am glad they kept them all these years. Most soaps would have written them off 20 years ago. My condolences to Susan and his loved ones. Hopefully they will wait a while before they write his death on the show. Especially since his RL wife is involved

While I rather have someone else play Alex if I had a choice I don't hate him. Probably because he always gets humbled on a regular basis unlike a lot of other characters on this show.

Yes it actually happened and I believe Lucas found out she drugged Austin which he kept a secret because Sami blackmailed him with a potential statutory rape charge.

She spiked Austin's drink. Austin thought she was Carrie and Sami pretended she was. He found out the next morning that it wasn't Carrie. Sami/Lucas slept together in the Titan photo lab around that time. They never really established paternity until years later when Sami/Austin were about to be married and it came out that Sami switched yet another paternity result. Carrie ended up marrying Austin that day. Lucas/Sami began their bitter custody battle. Days knew how to give you a decent payoff back then.

It's a shame they can't just write him as the patriarch of his family which I think is what John does best. He's raised a variety of children since the 80s however that's too character driven for this show.

No thanks JJ was emasculated enough as is. I don’t want him to be her lapdog. It would be the low rent version of Lucas/Sami hard pass. Fortunately JJ is ignored by this show so this is very unlikely to happen. Plus EOB was his onscreen sibling so not sure it would entirely work either. I do think they should put Theresa with someone else though Alex or Chad would be fine I thought it was Chloe not Nicole? I rather Brady deal with family drama over Tate than his love life because this show sucks at relationships and he’s not stuck with his rapist and the spawn that shouldn’t exist.

He worked for Basic Black as a photographer but quit after he found out Nicole talked with Jada before she had an abortion. This story is good in theory but terrible in execution at least with Sydnapping you had established history and a better setup. Which is completely lacking in this version. The only good thing about this version is that Nicole isn't clueless for months on end. I also agree that I don't buy Sloan being that desperate to keep Eric or any man. She was too much of a boss bitch for me to think she wants men beyond sex.

Well it's not like it hasn't been done before (back from the dead etc). I personally don't think she's Abigail that would require Ron to care about the Hortons and I just don't see that happening. If I'm wrong maybe it's to write Chad out with her and normally I hate it when one half of the pairing who wants to stay is being written out because the other can't be tied down to the show. However, given how directionless Chad is, it would be preferable than whatever he's doing now.

Between him and Marlena that tracks tbh. Holly was SORASed a little too quickly for me to feel for the character just yet. I find it jarring tbh otherwise I'm all for teen angst.

Jada can do better but honestly, I can't think of anyone currently on the show that would be better than Rafe has been. I actually like them together. I can't imagine Rafe being worse to Jada than Eric has been.

I agree about Tate and it's nice that the kids are allowed to judge adults instead of just having it brushed off. I wish that Parker could have had this same disdain for Chloe and Holly for Nicole because it's warranted also.

I didn't mind Ericole as much when Jensen Ackles was in the role probably because his version wasn't nearly as sanctimonious to me. However, I don't feel Nicole can be her true snarky self with Eric like she can with EJ or Brady. Don't get me wrong Eric has valid concerns to be hesitant about getting involved with Nicole but it's hard to be remotely sympathetic to him because he's had decent women around him that would've given him what he claims to want yet tosses them aside for Nicole. Only to complain about Nicole in the end as if he didn't know how she was to begin with. I think GV Eric's best relationship was with God tbh because he can judge people without impunity.

I would think Jack/Jennifer would want to spend time with the grandkids. Maybe they’re with JJ
