That patriarchy stuff Kody spewed at the end was some weird, crazy talk. It didn’t look like any of the remaining wives were comfortable hearing it. And he managed to gaslight them again, by saying something like, “I tried to let you be independent women, but that didn’t work out too well so I’m going to be head of my household again if you’re willing to conform to patriarchy.” But guess what, Kody…if you are serious about becoming the patriarch again, you have to be present in all households with all wives. No more of this absentee pretend polygamy.

When Kody was making a big deal about how if Ysabel chose to go back to in person school, it meant he wouldn’t be able to see her (forget all the brilliant suggestions by Janelle and you all here)…it’s not like he was seeing her when she was at home doing online school FOR A YEAR before schools opened back up anyway. So if she chose to continue online school now, how would that change Kody’s visiting behaviors? (Rhetorical question. It wouldn’t, because he would still blame Christine’s travels.) What a jerk for making this about Ysabel and her choice, instead of admitting it’s his issue with Christine that makes him stay away.

If Bonnie was in the hospital for two days, I wonder why Meri waited to start driving to be with her. Even if death wasn’t a thought, wouldn’t she want to support her in the hospital?

I noted Jonah’s therapist was a Licensed Social Worker. I also noted she used bad grammar during the session. 😩

I want to know how many times Kody said “Covid” in this episode but I am unwilling to rewatch to count. Also, when discussing driving Ysabel to college in 2021, Kody was saying, “That will be in August? Will gas stations even be open by then?” Like gas stations closed for 18 months. 🙄 He made at least one trip, to Montana (?), for a funeral so he knows full well that’s not a concern.

How many of the young adult kids from two different wives need to say they see the favoritism? But still Kody and Robyn deny it’s existence. Argue against it. Call it gossip, cliques. Wow. He chooses to simply invalidate his own kids’ feelings. There’s a great dad, huh?

Kody is waiting for Christine to admit she is leaving because of things she did, and not because of him?? He’s gonna be waiting a long time. That some deep denial.

Didn’t they say Bert had initially texted Ick with the breakup, but the text we heard was one sent to Ddddd after she begged Bert to not do it? So we don’t know what Bert said to Ick…and maybe it was something that fueled his anger vs. hurt.

I want to know if Ick sent the $9800, and then told Ddddddd afterwards. Maybe didn’t tell Ddddd until after they got the breakup text…had to confess a critical piece of evidence as they processed the aftermath. Just curious about the financial balance of power in their house.

I went back and watched again. They are in a gravel parking lot at a lake, with a nearby grassy area and maybe a beach. Which makes me wonder…why go to a lake and then sit in the parking lot? 🤷🏻‍♀️

What type of venue did Matt take Devon to? Umbrella in the back of his pickup truck, with wine and snacks. I kept expecting to see a concert or outdoor movie or something. But it just looked like they were in a parking lot with cars going by on a nearby street.

I think you might be referring to Season 6, Episode 4. It ran in July I think. The gal was named Maranda, with a rash type irritation on her shins. Sorry I can’t link a video of the episode. If I recall, a biopsy was taken and a shot of steroid (?) was injected. She went home with a cream to use. In the follow up a short while later her legs were clear! Good outcome.

Closed captioning said he would “love her like a daughter”…then he awkwardly added “or son.” None of which made sense and came off creepy.

Brie’s wardrobe of too-large business suits, complete with padded shoulders, is such a 1990’s portrayal of a female lawyer. Ugh. And didn’t she start a new job? Must be a really, really part-time gig, because we don’t see or hear much reference to her going to said job yet.

I’m starting to count every time a conversation starts with “Are you ok?” or “What’s wrong?” Also, “Why don’t you take the rest of the day off?” is so often used, it’s a wonder any business stays open in Virgin River.

A peeve…when Mel ran into Cameron on the running trail, she offered to cover for him at the clinic that day, but Cameron declined. Then they planned a BBQ for that evening, and when they parted Cameron said, “See you tonight!” Um, you work together…more like “I’ll see you at the clinic in an hour.” Because we saw Mel at the clinic with Doc, and we know Cameron's scheduled to work also. Ugh, I hate inconsistencies.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but Ick and Dannielle already ARE divorced! That had to happen so he could apply for a fiancé visa with Bert. Dani is free as a bird, which makes it even more shocking that she hasn’t run far away with her sons.
