  1. Kristen is my favorite female contestant (Bryan V would be my favorite guy), so I am all for this. She's funny and just has this coolness about her. Also, Fast Foodies was kind of fun.
  2. Oh yes. Dawn. The series where "the guy she thought was her boyfriend turned out to be her brother, and the guy she thought was her brother turned out to be her boyfriend." I thought the Dawn actress was decent, and much better than Heaven who I did not like much. Also, they got her hair color right at least!
  3. I find both Devi and Eleanor exhausting (in different ways).
  4. I think Fabiola is my new favorite character. I love the actress' delivery of some lines. I'm very invested in her and her robot best friend.
  5. Except when someone else gets complimented. Maybe it was editing, but he did not look too happy when they were praising Sara's dessert. Was Sara's dessert made with pea puree? Anyone remember the pea puree scandal from years ago? Good times. Not the biggest fan of Buddha. I think there's this know-it-all quality where a judge or someone will mention a restaurant or famous chef or obscure ingredient, and he has to get a word in about it. That being said, I admire his talent, and it was clear his food was overall the best of the night, so he definitely deserved it. It is interesting to think about the disadvantages the non-American contestants faced, whether it was language barriers or unfamiliar challenges (RW) that didn't make the playing field completely even.
  6. Last season's Final 3 was so meh. I'm not going to say I hated them (I hated 39's Final 3), but they were just so nothing to me. I still don't know how Gabler won (although I wasn't impressed by the other two either). Just meh. This season wasn't meh for me. I liked this Final 3. I found Carolyn and Yam Yam entertaining (and enjoyed the Tika 3), and Heidi was fine. I would probably put this season as whole behind 42 in the post-40 games. Entertaining people with no one I hated. I wish Frannie had gone further. I really enjoyed her. And I think she and Matt are adorable. Were Carson and Frannie the only ones on the jury?
  7. I came to the conclusion that I don't really like Buddha. Like I can (and do) respect and admire his talent and preparedness, but there's something about him that rubs me the wrong way. I love all the Amar and Ali bestie scenes.
  8. Add me to the "disappointed about Frannie" group. Before this episode, I was thinking she was pretty much my favorite. Sorry if that was the jinx. It would've been funny if Frannie pulled out a letter and it was from Matt. I also thought it would've been funny if Carolyn played her idol for Frannie. Since Danny already had. Was not crazy for pissy Yam Yam scenes. Someone's always going to be left out of the reward. Jeff seemed especially...exuberant this episode. Telling them how great they looked at the challenge and then seemed kind of hyper during Tribal Council. More than usual. Still mad about Frannie.
  9. Another person that Carolyn now reminds me of:
  10. I'm so glad it wasn't just me! I finally realized Graham has wavy hair (and is with Karen), and Eddie has straight hair. It took me way too many episodes to come up with that.
  11. This is going to be one of those shows where I like most of the characters except for the main one (Georgia, see also both Gilmore girls) and wish the other characters would be able to get away from her. Zion, Paul, Joe, Marcus and Max's mom whose name I'm currently blanking on (I'll just call her Jocelyn!) ... I love the way Zion is with Austin. I didn't do a rewatch so could barely remember any individual character traits of Abby and Nora, but I found myself liking Abby this season. The actress has sort of an odd delivery of lines that is entertaining. Still find Max obnoxious. I liked this season better than the last one (I liked Ginny a lot more this season), and I really enjoyed the penultimate episode showing what happened previously in different POVs. I thought it was pretty creative.
  12. I find her extremely obnoxious. And I like Ginny more than Georgia.
  13. I honestly don't know how I feel. This season was so meh to me, and the final 3 was meh as well. I really was hoping for either Jesse or Karla in the finals, but I think a part of me figured this would be the final 3 because they were three of the most meh. I think I liked Owen the best of the 3 and Gabler the least, but all I can muster up is a big meh to the winner (although I assumed Noelle would be voting for either Cassidy or Owen). God, I hate the "Let's save Ben" Final 4 Fire challenge. Every season, I hope they get rid of it, and no. I really don't have much to add. It was a season. It's done now. That's about it/
  14. I took French in high school and minored in it in college. I like to think I'd do ok with pronunciation, but I don't know how I'd do with the memorizing part, especially in a stressful situation like that. I find myself just really liking Claire. She just seems fun. The top 3 teams of this episode would be a good final 3 for me.
  15. I'm joining the chorus of people who can't really get into this season. Despite all the interesting backstories, I just don't find a lot of these people that interesting to watch. I was thinking of last season and those players like Maryanne and Omar and Lindsay and Drea and Jonathan and how fun they were to watch, and there really isn't anyone like that this season. I know I like Owen and Karla, and I don't like Gabler or Sami, but it's just sort of meh to me as a whole. Maybe it'll pick up a little bit.
  16. Gabler is insufferable. I'm not going so far as to say Dwight was purpled, but I could not remember anything about him. I also don't have much of a sense of alliances this season. I'm glad it wasn't Noelle. We need to get some men voted out. Speaking of Noelle, I just got the image of her being paired up with Naonka and Naonka screaming about her leg. I may be evil. I think my favorites right now are Karla and Owen. Basically, anyone not Gabler or Sami. Can someone get James some water?
  17. I seriously thought she had fallen asleep. That would've been something. Add me to those who are happy a man went home. I don't like Sami.
  18. Me! I would've been very disappointed if I agreed to do a cheese task in Italy, and I only had to lug it around and not do any eating. I don't watch Big Brother, so I'm not familiar with Derek and Claire, but I find myself really liking her. I can't even remember most of the other BB teams on TAR unless it's like Rachel who I was not fond of so this surprises me. But I guess assuming every BB player is like Rachel is like assuming every Survivor contestant is like Russell. The twins rocked the tasks this week!
  19. I was wondering if so many people spelled Morriah as Marya (rather than something more common like Mariah) because that's how last season's Marya spelled it.
  20. I liked this at first (the scenery and the characters), but then at the end when both of the brothers were after her seemed a little improbable to me. Especially Jeremiah. Also, Belly you're no Lara Jean.
  21. After finishing the first part of season 4, I decided to do a rewatch of the first 3 seasons before Part 2. Yes, I'm well aware if would've made more sense to have done the rewatch before Part 1, but hindsight, and I realized something. Something I wasn't expecting. I just...really, really want Hopper and Joyce to end up together.
  22. Now granted it's been years since I watched last season (I should've done a rewatch), but I don't remember Robin being so fidgety last season. Did they explain where Joyce and Murray got the ransom money?
  23. I hate most horror, but I love this show too. I just look away at some of the bloodier parts. I think it's the writing and the humor and the characters. I like Eleven. I like Will and Joyce and Hopper. I like Dustin and Lucas. I like Steve and Robin. I like Nancy. I like Max. I liked that most of the episode was about the characters and their relationships and only the beginning and very end was horrorish and gory. I know that won't last but I enjoyed it for the moment. The fact that the kids were obviously so much older than they were playing was funny. We're not quite at Wet Hot American Summer levels, but we're getting there. I do not like Mike.
