Retired at last

There have been some issues with this site this morning, so I hope this posts. About last night. . . I think Amelia and Bennett are going to be fine. I just can't stand watching Amelia with her mouth gaping all the time. She still seems like she has to "work for the quirk" because it is a role she wants to play. Bennett is the real deal, and after seeing his mother, how else would he have turned out? When Christina said that all of her expectations about relationships are from movies I knew it was over for them. It was really sad that Henry couldn't even have looked at her during the wedding and if there is going to be any physical intimacy, she is going to have to be the driver. I don't think she has the patience for him and when she blurted out about her earrings while he was talking, I wanted him to call her on it, but he got the message and he knows who she is. Once they are quarantined, I don't hold out any hope at all for these two. Henry does seem like a nice man, but I would not want to marry into that family. Sorry, Henry's dad. You were not funny. And for Christina to even say that she has no idea what her husband's name was is very telling. If you hear nothing else at your wedding, you should hear your spouse's name! I am not sure why Henry has that girl squad, but they were horrible. I never saw that show Trischelle was on, but she and the brunette were total bitches and I hope Henry dumps them. Olivia was so happy that she and Brett had Taco Bell in common, she seemed to miss the comment that he does not do fast food and he kind made a face at it. She forced him into picking one and it happened to be her favorite. She remains hopeful, but I hope she is realistic and not going to look like a fool when all the signs have been there. I can't watch Unfilitered because I just can't stand that Jamie, but I was interested that they showed the clip of Brett being a jerk at the bachelor party to Olivia. I wonder how that show continues during the quarantine. I do like Miles, and I really hope that Karen relaxes and gives him a real chance. She is gorgeous and her wedding dress was one of the prettiest I have seen. On the other hand, I hope that Miles does not become a doormat trying to earn her affection and that there is a mutual attraction and respect between them. I still can't be sure about Amani and Woody. Her words indicate that she is happy and attracted, but her face still reads unsure and skeptical. She may just have that very dry sense about her, much like Deonna did and that worked out for them. I liked that Woody bonded with his new dads and I hope he stays as the good guy he appears to be now - as opposed to the comic player he seemed to start out being.

Hmmm, I think that Allie has the right to know that her mother attempted to influence Rafe into not agreeing to adopt the baby. She then could have asked Rafe if his decision was based on Sami's interference and then asked him for his true decision. She was entitled to know that since she wants Rafe to be the father. Rafe then could have said that he didn't want to cause problems for the family and maybe that he didn't want anything to do with being connected in any way to Sami. Once that was out in the open, he could either change his mind and try to adopt the baby (I say "try"because at some point the baby's father has to be revealed), and then leave town with the baby to start a new life. Maybe there would be an agreement that Sami and co. not know where they live, like a true adoption.

I think VK does OK with the stories she has and I haven't been distracted by her smugness, because it can't compare to the smugness that CB (Gabi) exudes.

I just don't think this show would go there with Theo as the dad. I hope they don't, since it would be something new for this show and they don't do that well. ETA - I should say "NEW" for this batch of hack writers. Way back when David and Valerie were falling in Iove, the story took time to develop the story and characters, which was totally new ground for soaps and this show did it well. If they have Theo be the dad out of nowhere, it feels off.

Chloe is coming back for sure and I don't know if it is short term, or not. Since Phillip is also coming back, again, no one has said for how long, maybe they will be filling the void of some of the people who are leaving/have left.

@Irlandesa, I was not saying that they would use Gwen as a replacement for Gabi - just that if more female actresses left, they would need to keep who they already have while they may recast.

I had heard that VK wanted out a while ago (I remember reading that she and ORK were friends in real life), but she signed an agreement to stay for the duration of her storyline. I agree that the show cancelling everyone's contracts and then bringing them back as needed was a real boost for some of the younger cast who wanted to see what else there was. I anticipate seeing a lot more of them in upcoming Lifetime movies! What I don't know is if Gwen is going to be around for a while. I haven't read many positive reviews of the actress or the character, but this might be a good chance for her to remain, because they will need someone - especially if Camila is really gone (which I have not seen anything official).

I thought that Karen in her gown was absolutely beautiful. I do hope she decides to give sweet Miles the chance he deserves. She could be so lucky. I think Amani was giving me Deonna vibes about being uncomfortable with getting close or liking compliments.And it will take her a while to trust him. I am wondering if he can wait, since he is so anxious to get things started. Brett's family is just plain obnoxious. No wonder his mother didn't want to appear. I do hope that Olivia calms down and just lets things evolve so she isn't so busy trying to woo her spouse. What will they do if the cats don't get along? I can't wait to get the story of the Dr. Weirdo and Mr. Bizarro encounter. She is way too much for me and her bridesmaids were ridiculous. Was he wearing white (probably dirty) socks with his tux? His mother was strange, but that just makes sense. And for her to have that reaction when Amelia's bridal party made their entrance show that it was even weird for her! Was that her side who were wearing masks and painted faces? Just too bizarro for me. And I can't stand those gross armpits. I, too, am surprised that she made it through medical school. I hope she ends up in research or pediatrics. Sick kids would like seeing their dr. with a bird's nest on her head.

I am not sure where this goes but they keep saying on the previews that we have 3 weddings this week. WHY? We have 2 hours to fill! We should see all of them.

Do they have Viv's coffin wired with breathing tubes like the sarcophagus stories? There is no way that she is dead. And I am guessing that Eve and Eduardo are working together to get revenge for their daughter. And somehow I think Gwen might be working for them unless she is going to be around for a while.

Are there any spoilers about the funeral? It seems from the rest of the spoilers for the week, it isn't one of the main people. Abby is being recast so it's not her. Vic or Vivian? That seems like they waited a long time to bring back Viv to kill her off so quickly, but at least it doesn't look they are killing the babies.

I know it's Sami, so there is no reasoning, but with ALL the people who knew Allie was pregnant (Her mother, step father, brother, son, ex-husband), why does she take it out on Nicole for not telling her? That's just stupid and a waste of a good cake! I have never been a Sami fan, so will probably skip this week and hope she takes off soon. But it looks like she is here for a couple of weeks since they go to the hospital with Allie at the end of the next week.

So, since I haven't seen the stories about Eve and her plans, do they at least get married first? It would be a shame if the show spent all their money on this wedding and it doesn't happen!

I wonder why Ciara would ask Rafe to walk her down the aisle when her brother is still in town? Sami is going to love that!

So the Kartrashians follow KATE on social media and the video of that stupid key to the city ceremony went viral?????? What are those writers smoking?

I keep seeing assumptions that Gabi is leaving, but is it really true? Has she officially quit or been fired? Where did Vic, Maggie, Doug, Julie and Jennifer leaving come from? Are those more assumptions that since they are older, they would not want to subject themselves to COVID? It makes sense, but just wondered if it was based on anything other than guesses.

Or, the stories they do write for her are horrible and she had her showcase Gina story for way too long. Sad that her swan song was pretty much hated by everyone.

It feels like we will have a wedding week for each of the nuptials, which will be mostly filler junk.

Hmmmm, remember we have that funeral left this summer. They wouldn't do that to her, would they? Especially if you add in the rumors of Peter Reckel maybe filming, they could go off together in death? Nah. LOL @ Petunia13, we posted at the same time.

I think that all dates are off since the show didn't take their break for the Olympics, etc. Sami was supposedly coming back in August, but we also know that Eric's and Nicole's wedding is in July and the previews show Sami and Nicole crashing into a wedding cake, so I think she will be here then. Same thing with the fire chief. If he posted in Feb., nothing had been decided about the Olympics or shutting down production, so I am just guessing that anything to do with any of the weddings will take place this month. Including Eve.

LOTS of speculation that Eve will come to ruin Ciara's and Ben's wedding. Also rumors that she shoots Ben.

I disagree that the "friendship" between Kristen and Lani shows that Kristen has a heart. She is a total narcissist and is incapable of being a friend. So, she just turns up at Lani's apartment to surprise her, but totally expects her to again hide her and not tell anyone that she is in town. That puts Lani at risk for losing her job (yes, please), but came because she wanted to. She also is making Lani start her marriage making a decision to either tell Eli and put him in a bad place to decide whether or not to forget it again or not tell him and start their wedded bliss holding another secret. No, Kristen doesn't think of anyone but herself and she has no heart.

I agree with what has been said recently. Although I sill love watching the reruns, I stop once Suzanne and Charlene left. I feel sorry for Julia Duffy, as she always seems to get put in a show after a successful person has left and she can't bring in the fans. I also never liked Jan Hooks, again, playing a new character in a current successful show. I did like it when Judith Ivy came in as BJ Poteet. She is a great actress and her character was fun. Maybe I was one of the few but I never liked those Julia tirades, and I sure didn't care much for her singing.

Don't people know that Sami will be coming to Eric's wedding? If so, then Allie will still be pregnant, so there is no hiding it. Really dumb plot line.
