I think that if Xander is being in a story with horrible Gwen, she is going to be his hook-up after he leaves Sarah. Probably a drunken one, but that was my first thought when it said that he will go into an arc with Gwen that will piss off the viewers. Nothing would piss me off more than that hook-up. And, I don't like Sarah one bit! So that's how much I detest the character of Gwen.

EJ's awake already???? I was hoping he would be out for months. And, what do you know - he is acting differently. Maybe like someone who has amnesia? Or is faking amnesia? They haven't even arrested all of the potential suspects yet. I am voting for faking amnesia. He is trying to protect the shooter. Pauline and Chanel spend some time bonding? What the hell else do they do?

I don't know if anyone else was surprised (not in a bad way) that Viv just spilled the secret in one fell swoop. I kind of love it that her need for vengeance doesn't preclude her "own" son. Yep, if Sarah doesn't tell Xander that she has known when he tells her tomorrow (or whenever), which she won't, she will make it 10x worse. Or, maybe it can't get any worse and he will leave her immediately. I'm fine with that. I never liked the character of Sarah as portrayed by Linsey. Wasn't Sarah, at one time, a dancer? Melissa someone played her, I think. Unless I am remembering the wrong character. I agree about the story to rescue John is too plodding. And, the inability to get rid of villains time after time is ridiculous. And, of course, Marlena will get Orpheus out of the hospital, and then will probably take off. Who does Christian need custody of? Jan's baby? Isn't that kid in college yet? Does that mean Christian and/or Jan will also be returning to Salem?

I think the current Rachel brat is fine, so I am wondering if the fact that she is being recast is an obvious clue to address the rumor we have read about the shooter.
-
We know that Rachel is being recast for a stronger actress. Has there been talk about Charlotte and Thomas, as well? What about Victoria? Is she still doll in blanket or sleeping? If they are going to kill off Chad, then why not make him EJ's killer? I am hoping that those scenes have already been filmed since the who-dun-it is usually a summer thing.

Like Sand Through an Hourglass: Behind the Scenes of DOOL

Maybe the new writers can handle that. "Comedy," in the past, was limited to people falling into wedding cakes, asinine April Fool's Day and Halloween shows, and Leo being obnoxious and inappropriate. Oh yeah - Eugene and Calliope, who I know many enjoyed, but I didn't. -

I don't think anyone has criticized Michelle for not being attracted to David. Very few people would be. I know that I didn't like the way she treated him and then claimed that she was "trying so hard" when she wasn't. And turning herself into a victim was too much. We all knew that she didn't want him, so why did she care what he did with Madison? Was it tacky? Yes. Did it break her heart? No. Madison was far worse in her behavior, since Allen truly wanted to make it work and had real feelings for her, which Michelle never had for David. So, for now, David and Madison are in love until someone else comes around, since neither of them can be counted on to stay committed to a partner. I am glad I don't have Peacock so I can't see how the show parades these two around as a success story that we should be excited to celebrate. -

Interesting that after Michelle informed production, then they went back and made all those clips showing the two of them returning to their apartments the same late times. IF that is how it happened. But, just think. . .if Michelle had wanted to find something she had in common with David, then SHE could have been working out with him and who knows what might have happened? But, she clearly wanted nothing to do with him from the beginning. -
Criminal Minds: Evolution in the Media

Isn't Spencer supposed to do an appearance this season? Has anyone heard about his new show, Einstein, and if that ever got picked up? -
And Kristin will go to jail rather than admit that her kid is a monster - wait, didn't that happen before (Lucas taking the blame?). How novel to repeat that plot AGAIN. I forgot about Jan and Charlie Dale. Speaking of, isn't it about time for Jan to return with Shawn D's kid? Oh, Ron, how we miss you NOT.
-
What I have heard is that
-
Wasn't Vivian in jail or is she out again? What is rightfully hers? I am glad to see that Sami will finally have a conversation with Johnny and I hope he gives her as hard a time as he gave EJ. Harder, actually. As others have said, Lucas should be there. Poor Xander. There is no one he can trust, except Maggie.

Usually you only see women in the commercials for it, but they will take anyone's money. I had something like it done years ago, and it is excruciatingly painful since you are awake. Men would not tolerate that for vanity like women, unfortunately, would and do. But, I agree that Allen doesn't seem like a candidate and I don't see him as a spokesperson who will resonate with men. -
Rafe sure is a jerk these days. And, yippee, Sami is back to scream and fight and scream some more. And, sleep with exes. Let's see. . . her son just found out the nasty truth about his conception; her father is missing; her latest ex has been shot, and she has the time to "comfort" Rafe?

I refuse to sign in just to see what is on a website, so I couldn't see what they are selling, but Karla doesn't seem to be mentioned much at all, as far as being involved with this "business." But, good to know that you can book him for an appearance at a party. Wow. -
S18.E20: Chicago Reunion, Part 2
Retired at last replied to TwirlyGirly's topic in Married At First Sight
@Gator Stud, We saw the clip of Michelle telling them what she wanted and it described David perfectly, Madison said she had only dated White men, and PC said that they really paid attention to that. I think it all depends on how much lying happens during the vetting process. Maybe they don't want to get too specific so they can be cast. If Juan truly told them that he wanted an athletic woman with a booty, there's no wonder why he wasn't attracted to Karla. Other couples have said that they lied to be cast, such as wanting/not wanting kids, which is really dumb. Then there's the issue of how superficial people can be if all they focus on is physical. True, we all have a certain type we are attracted to, but if the person has the same values as you, maybe some of the things can be overlooked. I don't think that race is one of those. Remember when Myrla was upset because she got a really good guy who happened to be bald when she said she didn't want a bald man? I can understand why they ignored that "requirement" when they matched her with Gil. Anyway, that's why I believed them when the "experts" said that was a false rumor. -

I agree with the producers not pairing people with everything on their Santa wish lists. Myrla was an idiot. Suppose she fell in love with a man with hair and then he went bald. Was she going to dump him? Well, not a good example as she probably would. But, for the superficial "requirements" I think that not filling them all is fine. It's when they don't care about things like pets, religion, wanting kids, etc., then they need to really honor those. Juan said from Day 1 he was there for fun. That's all. I really do wonder what those conversations off camera were like. I also can't figure out where the lawsuit fits. They seemed to get along mostly at the reunions, although Karla was never happy. I think that must have been a big blow to her ego to not be found physically attractive. Actually, I think more women would want to look like her physically than men would be attracted to that physique. I personally might even sell my soul to know what it felt like to look like that for even one day. But, seriously, does anyone actually wear ponchos anymore? -
I guess that when they can't blame Clyde for a crime, they haul out Orpheus. I have never liked Sarah and this version of her is terrible. Xander doesn't deserve to be lied to and betrayed by the woman he cares the most about. I guess they will get back together in the long run, but I can't wait to read about it when he dumps her. I am guessing that it will be some Victoria health issue to get them back together again, but that won't be for a while. I hope Maggie gives her the silent treatment, too.

S18.E21: Where Are They Now: It's Vow or Never
Retired at last replied to TwirlyGirly's topic in Married At First Sight
I am glad that Michelle recognized that her behavior and attitude were horrible. But, that doesn't change the fact that she never was or will be attracted to him. He is different now - he is HAPPY. Michelle would never make him happy. Madison telling her father for the first time about David moving in was as real as her telling David that she had feelings for him for the first time on camera. It doesn't work that way and both conversations were staged. -
S18.E21: Where Are They Now: It's Vow or Never
Retired at last replied to TwirlyGirly's topic in Married At First Sight
I think that Brandon just plays his game better than Ick. He is just as interested in TV "fame,"but knows the way to play Em is to sweet talk her to death with sentiments he cannot believe. I still can't forget when he called her his "Olivia Pope." I think that made it perfectly clear who he was looking for. And, all she wanted was to make Ick jealous, which he isn't. I don't think she is happy, either, @atomic. -
S18.E21: Where Are They Now: It's Vow or Never
Retired at last replied to TwirlyGirly's topic in Married At First Sight
Actually, both. There was a fakey fake commitment ceremony presided by Pastor Cal. Em wore a wedding dress and amazing shoes. Brandon is and always will be an ass. I think, at this point, she deserves it. She is a mess. ETA - If that huge rock on her hand was real, I would bet anything that she bought and paid for it. Brandon is not going to have that kind of cash with his divorce and child payments. And Karla did have a girls' party where they made their own candles and selected the scents that were meaningful. Then they named their candles and talked about what they picked. They were supposed to pick scents that helped them get rid of unpleasant thoughts. I don't think it worked. I do enjoy flaky Karla. -
S18.E21: Where Are They Now: It's Vow or Never
Retired at last replied to TwirlyGirly's topic in Married At First Sight
The number of responses pretty much says it all. Bye bye MAFS. I was really confused by the Ick-man and the divorce. I always thought that if the couples said they wanted a divorce on D-Day, the show helped with that process. Otherwise, why would people sign up if they knew the odds and then they would have to pay for it themselves? I did enjoy the Michelle/Karla conversation, even though it looked like neither of them were wearing pants. But, they both looked great. Michelle really did seem to acknowledge what a horrible bitch she was to David. And I LOVED how Karla realized that she could not be with a partner who is like her - I loved it when she said that, "Someone needs a plan and that sure wouldn't be me!" That is exactly what one of the issues with Juan was. Speaking of confusion - what is with their shared business and how does that lawsuit fit in???? Juancho's Ponchos??? Allen is a gentleman and will be fine. I agree that making David and Madison the success story of the century won't really work with most of the viewers. I still think David is way more in love than she is, but they seem happy. Now, Thomas and Camille. . . I wondered how happy he could be with her, and it looks like he is not truly. I hope he decides before they have kids. She just has an attitude that she is better than he is and is always so condescending and I think she is hard to please. Plus, as long as her personality is the type to enjoy making people suffer or worry so she can then just say, "Just kidding," I have no hope for them. That is a horrible characteristic and I think a serious flaw. (I had a manager like that and she came into my office one day, eyes blazing, telling me that the director of our division called her about me, so I thought I was going to be fired, just to tell me that he said I was a great addition to the team, etc. But, by that time, she had ruined any possible chance of pride I could feel, and I never forgot that.) Why didn't Emem seek out a divorce? Is Brandon still married? They are both too strange and he just wants his TV stardom. She is strange and always has been. Ick looks better and better. Not good - just better. I did not watch the follow-up show. We just saw the whole season replayed - why do another show about it? -

There's also yet another follow up show where they will replay, yet again, the top 10 moments from this season. Enough already! We can't miss it if it never goes away! But, I will say that I appreciate the show filming these follow-up shows a year after filming since they took so long to show them in the first place.
