  1. Yeah, I'm wondering if he'll be able to hold out too. I hope so, but I wouldn't bet on it. He's going to be so pissed at Butcher.
  2. As much as I'm enjoying all the stories, I'm living for the Soldier Boy stuff, at this point. Ditto to this. I kind of knew that Butcher was playing MM. And I'm really glad that MM didn't take the V.
  3. I read in one of the reviews that he has a hair trigger temper and can turn on a dime to violence. I can't see any of the core characters being killed off either. However, I DO think if that were to happen, it would be Maeve just because of how she was and what she said when Starlight visited her.
  4. Yes, well I suppose that's possible for all the butts that we've seen on this show, but somehow I just have to believe that no butt doubles were necessary for any of them. I'm thinking the real ones were all judged and considered plenty perky enough by who ever holds the position of Official Butt Judge on The Boys.
  5. Yeah, I saw an interview with Jensen where he said that Soldier Boy has a vengeance list and I'm thinking Stan might be on it and he could be No.1 if Soldier Boy knows who planned it. If not, I wonder if we might get some "interactions" between him and the surviving members of his Payback team as he tries to figure out who was behind the betrayal. Many of the cast have also said that strange and unlikely alliances will be formed as a result of some of the information that Soldier Boy possesses. I'm wondering if MM might not have all the info he needs about his family's death and if they might not form an unlikely alliance against Stan when MM finds out some of those things(who might also have to ally with Homelander to solve the problem of Soldier Boy for both of them to remain in power). Oh, and thanks so much for starting this thread. I have a million thoughts and questions too.
  6. Mine too. As an actor, Giancarlo Esposito owns Deadly Calm.
  7. Oops forgot Hughie. I really did feel for him and his feelings of being emasculated when he was watching the tv and how they were dissing him. I almost couldn't blame him for taking the Temp V. Almost.
  8. This episode was So. Friggin'. Good. I loved it. Everyone brought their best to the table, including the writing. Can't wait for Homelander to get taken down a peg or two. A-train and The Deep are The Worst. Maeve and Starlight so beautiful in their desires to take Homelander down, but yeah, they need other Supe help. Big time. Loved all the Boys scenes. All of them, but especially Kimiko and her deadly dildos and the Butcher and MM scene wherein Butcher explained why he chose MM to be on the team. And MM's face when he realized it was Soldier Boy in the chamber? So. Good. And speaking of Soldier Boy... Wow. What. An. Entrance. Not gonna lie. I was hoping with all hope for this. I have seen Jensen Ackles play many emotions, and many at the same time, is actually his forte AFAIC. So yes, I've seen him play powerful and vulnerable both at the same time, but naked, powerful, and vulnerable? Yup, that was a First(and Oh, what a First it was 😍). When we saw the glow start to radiate out of him the feeling of DOOM! became palpable. Awesome. Sauce. And he's out there now. On the loose. I want more of him. I need more and this was my only complaint about the episode. Hopefully the next four will address that complaint. Kudos again, to everyone involved in this one, never forgetting Giancarlo, Claudia(her scene with her daughter was so hard to watch), Colbie, and even the dude who plays Cameron Colman. Oh, and that musical number that MM was watching Soldier Boy perform? The full performance is out there and in the words of Deborah Harry, it's Epic. 😄 👏 💞
  9. I was yelling "Don't do it..." at the tv when Supersonic and A-train were in the elevator.
  10. Deborah Harry called it Epic. I can't even with all this Amazing Ackles content. Going to the Boys forum now...
  11. There's such a wonderful abundance of great Ackles content out there right now that I just now had the opportunity to catch this and wanted to thank you for it Casseiopeia. In all honesty, I, at first, cringed at the question, but they all made it look so easy(guess that's why they chose acting as a career 😉)and yes, Jensen's Valley Valley girl accent was the best. And he was nervous about topping Rob's. Go figure. I watched him on Seth Meyers show last night and his humility when Seth congratulated him on Supernatural's 15 year run made me fall in love with him still once again. He's still such a down to earth individual even with all these wonderful reviews that I've been reading about him and his performances lately. I know that I will always love that about him, but I am also so very glad to see all the glowing words from so many finally attesting to his awesome acting skills and talent. It makes my heart burst with pride and joy for him. Silly, I know, since I've never met him, not even at a con, but it's how I feel all the same. Thanks again. It's a great time to be an Ackles fan. The best time, in all honesty. 🥰
  12. IA 100% with this. And I don't think it's wise to get one's hopes up for more than this. If we get it, great; if not, well maybe, just maybe, the new show and the new characters will be enough to keep the show going, and just like anything else in life, time will tell with that. FWIW, keeping my hopes and expectations very low was pretty much how I watched the mothership after S8, and I stayed until the very end. That said, and regardless of the entitlement issues(sorry, not sorry, but that's how I see it)of some in this fandom, I DO think that The Winchesters is going to go over very well with many younger viewers, old and new to the fandom. Honestly? I truly think that it's going to be a hit for the network.
  13. This. I think this is precisely what the actor and the writer are attempting to do with the character in addition to being time warped back a bit.
  14. The scary music that plays in the background during these Homelander scenes is extremely effective, too. I've always wanted to give kudos to who ever Kripke got to handle that aspect of the show.
  15. I liked that even Starlight was tempted enough by power, albeit to do "good" in her mind, that she accepted the co-captaincy position even while she knew it would place her in closer proximity and easier reach of the monster who is Homelander.
  16. Kripke created and wrote/writes both characters and I think that is worth a mention. For my part, I saw none of Dean Winchester in that scene because Dean hid his feelings far better and more often than it appears Soldier Boy might be able to from just the snippet of the character that we got in this episode. No, not so with Soldier Boy-except for possibly a minuscule and barely momentary hint of hurt, but only in the eyes, and very quickly extinguished by the kind of anger that Dean rarely ever let slip so overtly. Dean seemed more practiced at holding his anger in than Soldier Boy appears to be to me, again, in the little that we've seen of Soldier Boy so far. That facial twitch would have never come from Dean Winchester, that's for sure. But yes, acting will always be a very subjective matter for everyone.
  17. Not to nitpick, but just because the screening of the questions cannot be confirmed doesn't mean it should be eliminated as a possibility-especially because it can be done in a number of different ways.
  18. The woman who kidnapped him is Little Nina, a new character and a ruthless Russian drug runner who they both worked for at one time, apparently, and who they were both clearly very afraid of; and especially of the repercussions and punishments that she might visit upon anyone who she perceived as stealing from her(Cherie told Frenchie that someone else stole Little Nina's heroin from her).
  19. I could not even begin to think of or contemplate what goes through the minds of the individials behind creation cons. What I do know is that in the past they've made the Js sign exclusive contracts with them which I really disliked then(and still do, if that still holds). Honestly, I don't know anything about how any cons are run, but strictly from what I've seen and read, creation seems to like to cut corners in ways that the bigger con venues don't/won't, and I honestly feel that anything that happens at a Supernatural Creation Con could not or would not affect what any casual viewer might do because I really don't think that most casual viewers care one bit about what happens at cons, be they bigger or smaller ones. JMO, of course.
  20. Not sure what happens with the choice of questions at these cons anymore, but I'd wager that it has more to do with who's screening them than anything else, and for all we know, it could just be fandom "volunteers" with their own favorites, biases, and allegiances. Anyone can "claim" to be unbiased. I think that The Winchesters will do just as well as(or better than) anything that the CW has ever greenlit, including Walker. And I bet all of the hedging around has a lot more to do with the sale of the network and the state of flux that's likely surrounding it presently. That said, I haven't watched any of the convention stuff yet(and not even sure how much of it I'll be able to catch, tbh) so just my thoughts with that caveat included and to be fair about things.
  21. Can you give a close time stamp to this. I don't have time to watch it all, but would love to see this. Thanks in advance and if possible.
