  1. I've watched half of his solo panel so far and I also think that he emitted a bit of satisfaction at the crowd's reaction to his bringing it up. I further think that any disappointment he might have shown was more for the lost possibilities in it-and not just the ones he pointed out as covid-related because he also mentioned that when he was reading the script for the first time and realized that they were killing Dean off "before the second commercial break", as he put it, he knew that there were going to be more than a few angry/irate reactions. And he definitely did not seem happy or impressed at all to me with the manner that Dean died, even rolling his eyes at someone coming to the convention with a piece of rebar and showing it to him. He likened it to going to a Superman convention with a piece of kryptonite in their pocket. I think the story about his standing up to Singer and insisting that Dean die on his feet instead of on the ground was his way of letting his own fandom know that he tried as hard as he could to get something more for Dean and himself and for no few of his fans, too, out of that shit of a finale when literally no one bts would stand with him(or his character) or back him or his less-than-impressed feelings on it up when the idea was first pitched to them. Now whether he knew that Dean was going to be killed off that early from the get-go is an unknown, but he was very clearly unhappy about it when he first read the script and that came through loud and clear in the panel, AFAIC and IMO. I truly think that even he feels like his one and only win for himself and Dean and, again, no few in the Dean fandom, out of the whole debacle was in his having won the right to have been able to show Dean dying on his feet, instead of on the ground and that's the biggest reason that he told that story, again, IMO. ETA: And I have to agree with Gonzosgirrl that it seemed like he felt that he really needed to say those things, too, and who could have guessed at that.
  2. I haven't had a chance to watch the panels in whole, but have seen many clips. Did he say "Ask Jared" in the solo panel or the gold?
  3. So this guy had a role in Better Call Saul. I'm loving that Jensen seems to somehow have wound up working with actors from that show and, hopefully, with writers and producers of that ilk. I've always dreamed of him working on a Vince Gilligan production, and maybe reuniting with John Shiban.
  4. Filming has already started for Rust and he's still finding time to attend a SPN convention this weekend. He really is something else. I'm so proud to be a fan of his and so very happy to see him so sought after in his field and working with some of the best in this latest project-not surprised in the least by any of this, tbh, but again just so happy to see his cup runneth over in the way that it has since Supernatural ended. And I'm betting that this is still just the beginning for him. Our "secret" is out and it just feels so good to be a Jensen fan these days-finally! Hallelujah!!
  5. It's just ridiculous how Beautiful he is. I mean Really. Come on. 🤪
  6. I LOVE! that this is based on the influx of positive tweets received. So good to know. 🥰
  7. Nevermind... ETA: Except ITA that this interview made the thought that Jensen told JP to just STFU on this subject on the SM platforms seem much more likely now.
  8. I'm sorry, but I cannot ever read that last part without LOL!ing And a big Yes. to all the rest, too. He did not help himself at all in this interview, but there you have it.
  9. I'm really interested in John's view and perspective and how and why he even could have become the man he turned into after Mary died. The angels were apparently "watching over" the brothers' parents from when? From birth? Or did they just get tired of waiting for their "Dad" to return and took matters into their own hands with these two particular families of two bloodlines that could have been, in truth, any two families that were a part of those bloodlines. That certainly goes along with show canon to some degree. And maybe, "It always had to be the Winchesters" was just angelic and, eventually, demonic manipulation and propaganda and we'll get the beginning/source of that, too.
  10. Maybe we'll get some war scenes. In fact, I'd bet on it.
  11. I bet this is the plan. And possibilities are there for work for many SPN alums in all of this, which I also bet was a part of the plan. I don't like the Mary/Marty stu style of writing that RT uses sometimes either, but as someone else said, since it's a new project maybe it won't be as blatant or maybe he's even learned to tone it down a bit, even when he likes a character. I'd give it a shot because it's a Jensen Ackles production and we know the guy is a good storyteller.
  12. From what I've seen and read, amongst the adult audience(and the more adult-minded), Jensen has more support than JP, who seems to have the wincesters and the tinhats(those fans who think that J2 are secretly a couple and the wives are beards) and the fringe element of the bi-bro fandom(those fans who, in their own minds, can't separate the actors from the characters they played on the show) in his corner. Personally, I don't feel that Jensen would be hurt one iota by losing the segments of the fandom following JP. In fact, I think he'd be far better off in numerous ways since from the hate they're still spewing, it seems like they never ever really were truly his fans at all, excepting in what he could do for and with JP, and again, I feel like Jensen is really doing JP yet another favor by saying very little. Come what may, I think JP has far more to lose in all of this than Jensen, so in the end he'll wind up hurting himself more than anyone else, which is usually what happens eventually with people who exhibit the patterns of behavior that he's shown. JMO going off of a similar type of experience with a loved one. Oh, and the show reminds me of every other clickbait rag out there that gets their "facts" from Twitter.
  13. I thought I read somewhere that someone looked it up. That it was public knowledge that anyone could look up, although I can't recall where I read it, but yes it was after the pics of them in the middle of another move came out, I believe.
  14. I think they just wanted to retcon the demon blood drinking from something that was just disgusting to something that was more necessary and then they decided to switch back again when they had Ruby tell him that he never needed it. S5 was a mess after The End what with all the OTT writing desperation to turn Sam into the sole savior of the world and turn all of his previous mistakes and character faults and flaws into somehow being Dean's fault as much as they were Sam's(God, I just realized how apropos that sounds to recent RL events, too). Anyway, I have to agree with whoever said that if canon was being retconned away as early as this, there's nothing that could make it any worse than what Dabb did in the last seasons. And at least we know that Robbie Thomoson watched the entire series, unlike some of the writers that have been associated with this show, again, especially as it was winding down.
  15. I always wondered about this... I think Young John said something about Mary's father having a heart attack in The Song Remains the Same(or one of those other time travel episodes), but I always wondered how she explained the bloody stab wound. Maybe they're going to say that both parents came back wrong or different after they "died".
  16. MTE, Catrox! And that's exactly what the mind wipe canon accomplishes, that might even allow them to keep the 1972 date as the starting point.
  17. But he could still be talking to someone, and one of the biggest gripes from the Dean fandom concerning the finale was that Dean never got to enjoy/have a life of his own and I know that meant different things to different fans, but if Jensen was producing, it would be what he wanted for Dean, more than anything else. That would be a big part of his needing creative control, too-and that's the biggest reason that I'd be willing to give a shot.
  18. Heh. Heh. I would love it Dean's first ever VO started out with "After Jack sent us back here..." And wouldn't it then be great if we never see or know who he's talking to until the end of the series, when we find out that it's Dean's own son. I'd love that. And I'm sure that there would be plenty of spec concerning that, and spec is what made this show turn at the beginning, IMO.
  19. If he's in Heaven and it's before Sam got there, there would be all kinds of opportunities for cameos, too-even JDM, whose character might not be so well-loved by some in the online community, but the actor is still a big draw as we saw in the 300th and there ARE plenty of fans(both online and in the greater fandom who aren't online) who still love those two characters, especially when they're together.
  20. I'm so sorry, 7KStAR. 💝
  21. These two say it all for me. Trying to "equalize" the blame by blaming the victim, in some way-any way, for that matter-is also a tried and true response from many in this toxic fandom also whenever JP decides that someone treated him "unfairly" or "wrong". Too many for my taste, for sure. I decided that a long time ago. That was the thing that I found hardest to stomach in this fandom.
