My friend was also disturbed!🤣 She looked her up and plot twist! They immediately moved into another house in her mother's neighborhood.....I am sure she just wanted to be on tv for her blog. I have been away from House Hunters for a while. I did not like the son's attitude and irritation! After watching the Baton Rouge episode and another Costa Rica one where the husband was acting like a child, I question if I can even tolerate House Hunters now. It used to be mindless watching.

No idea why this was aired

I haven't watched the show in a long time and this episode made me uncomfortable.I actually thought it was some type of joke or parody. The husband looked miserable

Gone But Not Forgotten: Characters/Actors You Miss

That pantry and the arched doors along with thw Murphy bed did it for me
-
I felt the same about the bunk beds. And they would only be comfortable for kids. I did not understand the high praise for them ,the arcade space or bathroom in that space. I did however love their living space upstairs. I agree with Egypt about the high storage in the winning house's kitchen! Visually nice put totally impractical unless it was just for looks since they had the pantry.

Everyones designs were specific. It cracks me up how people watch a show and one person uses a word and then everyone does. Like pitchy from American Idol. Houses are specific whether it is Craftsman, cottage etc. Having stone everywhere was specific. The judges over used that word. The winning house had indoor outdoor entertainment with the kitchen downstairs that opened to the patio serving window, the best master closet, the deck, and the pantry. Add the murphy bed room with a bathroom and it was sealed. Multipurpose is key. Spas, swings and arcades are specific along with kegs and a golf simulator. Of them all their downstairs could easily be tranaformed into an in law suite or a separate income property or rent the downstairs out. Just make the speakeasy a bedroom and add a shower. Anthonys make it room should have been a gym and the blue bathroom was a hard no, along with the urinal. Michele? does too much. Personally I never thought they would give them the win but after seeing all the spaces it made sense. Odd in the one home I didnt see them go into the kid hideaway space. Was that not added value? Why did the kitchens with the double islands look like science lab tables to me? Or the surface in libraries? I have seen that donw before but better. Both looked awkward.

Well apparently the first live after the incident that I originally talked about it was Sarah an Nicole, so that makes sense, and I think Nicole was on the team with Victoire a I recall.
-
Well now they are saying that she only disclosed peanuts. I don't know, but the info I am receiving is that whomever is talking comes across as more annoyed by it than anything and how it may have affected their cooking. I am not sure if they feel like she could have been more clear, but it is possible she thought it was only peanuts? Or maybe she thought saying peanuts included all nuts? She said it is Sara who is having the lives. I am not even sure who that is. Also many of the other chefs would not have put Victorie in the top three...which is fair, we did not taste the food. It also just goes to show that Chefs like Eric, Victoire, etc. who showcase flavors that are not familiar to the judges it is impossible to do well on this show. By the same token if you are focusing on a specific flavor profile I guess that is the chance you take. I have not paid attention to what people are cooking so this is the first time I heard anything about Congo flavors and I missed the first episode that may have introduced more about the chefs. I just hope they are all having a good time and there are no hard feelings. Everybody doesn't have to be friends, but hopefully the respect is there. Right now with the exception of a couple of standouts, everyone seems pretty middle of the pack to me. But what do I know, Begonia was a standout to me😄
-
It was odd to me because my friend says she watched a live by 2 chefs and they said they were not allowed to use nuts for the rest of the competition After her incident which was why I was surprised last night when I heard someone say something about walnuts

OMG I loved Homicide and you accurately summed up why it went south for me. The Kellerman story and the Bayless story....

I personally think it's because they realized that the author took the wrong direction with her in the books and she had much more story to tell than the one dimensional villain they turned her into after she was a hero in the first book. Angie was even more damaged than Will and in the beginning it was clear she was self destructive trying to drive him away because she thought she was not worthy of anything good to protect him. Then the author went overboard and started bringing her back as a cartoon mustache twirling villain to bolster another character IMO. The intelligence, tenacity and good police work she did in Triptych should have gotten a book with her as a main character. One with issues of course but Will has issues too. Also there were quite a few things that she did and said in the book that would not be accepted in the climate now especially on tv. The way that both Angie and Amanda speak to Will in the books, specifically mocking his disability, would not have worked on screen. I am interested to see if she changes the Will Amanda dynamic in the next book. Will is also not the same Will from the books in a good way.

considering that the book series usually works on one case at a time and there really hasn't been that many books then they are going to have to have other cases than the ones that are covered in the books to make a whole or multiple seasons Also due to certain character change issues they will not be able to follow the books for inspiration to the letter and will have to have more stories No. Hoping for a season 2.🤞

Well my husband did 5 of French between HS and college and can say 2 words. I am convinced they passed him because he was an athlete 😃 I know more with my one year.

I know. Top Chef went from being must see tv to me the 1st year to off and on over the years especially during the period where it tried to be more drama driven like other reality shows. I feel like now the chefs support each other more and try to bond. Usually I don't care when someone leaves but this season I like pretty much everybody and I want to see them all shine and learn more about their food and style of cooking. I just feel like the challenges should have been different and not so much on location cuisine since they had people from so many different countries. It would have been fun say to see them having to choose to make a dish that one of their competitors had made on one of their top chef episodes or something. I could care less about seeing them make pub food and it was no surprise that the people who won were people who lived in London and worked there for some years.🙄 It's hard to choose a favorite. Right now I am leaning towards Gabri, his teammate from Spain who lives with the ex boyfriend and possibly Ali? Budda is a given as he is clearly most competition ready. He may be the only one that has competed recently. The rest of them for the most part are competition rusty and he is also more familiar with the format (and judges) they are using because the format of other countries is not the same. I am not discounting his talent. I would love to see Sylvie Nicole or Victoire surprise me.

Wow I wish I could watch other seasons from different countries. I actually thought she was one of the most well rounded so this is interesting. I think she has a shot of making it back from last chance kitchen but I don't watch that.

I have a super fan friend who said it that 1 of the chefs did a live and said that it was a bigger deal than how it was edited. She said that people were calling for a medic and that it was obvious she was in a lot of distress. She also said however, that whomever it was who did the live seemed to be a little bit annoyed because they said they could no longer use nuts for the rest of the show because her allergy was airborne. It also seems as if she did not say it was airborne It makes me wonder if this is something that they ask them about on any paperwork that they fill out and if there could have possibly been a language issue where she didn't understand what was asked? I got a little confused about what was said because I think she had only stated she had an allergy to almonds from what my friend saw on the live stream. I really feel for her because I understand what it's like to be the different one in a group and that hesitation to open up. She is also probably not feeling very confident with her language skills and ability to communicate. Unfortunately many times that is misunderstood and you are labeled. I just feel like editing is playing into that the same way they are making the one chef look very bossy and curt and others overconfident. I know it's a show and they do it to make things interesting but it's an issue for me. I hope she at least gets one win before she goes Or at least a memorable dish. I feel that way about all of them. It is crazy to have this much talent in one season and not be able to see the best of all of them.

Yes

Although I believe she only touched them while she was helping chop up something I was wondering why she couldn't have at least worn gloves? I admit I am a horrible cook so would that have changed the way sheat could prep the food wearing gloves? Or would gloves even be enough of a barrier to protect her? I like her but based on the edit that they are giving her I don't think she's long for this competition which makes me sad

They are if you are recreating the scene from the Equalizer where Denzel takes out the bad guys in the hardware section of a Lowe's like store😃

My guess is that he was recording the conversation as someone above mentioned. He will end up dead (probably the daughter who was denying he was doing something or her friend) and the girlfriend will be able to show that Angie was "harrasing" him. They will get in trouble for bringing him in, approaching the girl, and the recording he has of Angie threatening him will be the smoking gun, probably an edited version that does not include his confession. Did I see Mark Paul in the previews? I am interested that they are bringing him back. The episode was ok, but if there are any Monk fans here it reminded me too much of when Monk took in a toddler that witnessed a crime. Asking to take him in, the matching clothes....etc. I was interested in the direction they are taking with Evelyn and Amanda....and annoyed that we are going on another "break." When series are struggling to be renewed having these "breaks" messes up gaining an audience.

I can only speak for myself, but I would rather have the experience of going to the spa than having it in my house. Maybe the sauna but not everyone can use a sauna due to health reasons.
-
Well for those that did put a kitchen down there if they decided to have another bedroom or make an in law suite it would be easier to reconfigure that into a "mother in law" suite. The speakeasy could be a bedroom, it already has a living area, and they would just have to add on to the half bath or put a shower in somewhere. I agree about the office although I thought the winning team had a small office area? I also think people are over home theatres. Remember when crafting an gift wrapping rooms were popular in larger homes? I don't usually watch this show, but do they redo every room in the house? It is possible there are offices in the main area upstairs, but it is just not one of the spaces they include in the challenges. Some people don't like coming downstairs to work. What I do like is that from what I can see each downstairs could have a separate entrance from down there, so if someone has mobility issues they could still get in there without having to navigate the stairs. I still believe of the four the speakeasy would be the easiest one for me to change to something I want. The others either lacked a kitchen, a bathroom, or had things (like the spa features/golf things, bunk beds) that would be harder to move around or remove. Theirs would primarily be redecorating to my style.
-
I totally agree, but oddly the one that I could make work would be the one with the speak easy. For the others the spa theme went too far, especially with the little kid room that seemed out of place. The golf room was too much as were the swings. Maybe different swings? the arcade plus the bunk beds as if everyone has kids was one thing too many and the banquet seating was odd. At least the other one was purely a lounge and entertainment space without trying to do so many different things. I feel like stylistically it matches the rest of the spaces they completed.

I don't know, it made me uncomfortable the way they focused on Gail asking Victoire about the food when she was clearly uncomfortable with what she was eating and really gave her a resting B faced moment the way it was edited on camera which just perpetuates a certain stereotype. She probably said nothing because she didn't want to offend or be misunderstood on camera but it was shot to make her look awkward and difficult by seemingly remaining silent IMO. I am thrilled with the International element and I really hope that we get to see a lot more of all of the chefs and not just the already obvious favorites. I would love to be able to watch some of the International Top Chef shows. Mei/Mai? will be back. She is a favorite clearly. There seems to be some really fun personalities! I want to see what they all can do. I would think due to the language barriers that they would keep the team challenges to a minimum. That has to be extremely stressful on top of a already difficult situation, and misunderstanding a direction or ingredient could be disastrous. I did not like the look of the winning dish so I am in the minority. So Budda made the potatoes again? As a vegetarian I guess this whole pub crawl would have just been horrible for me🙂
