Who won quickfire, and who was High, low?

She maybe salty about the money but not enough to team with him since he tried to kill her.. Another Emma awkward scene where she let the brother get away. It is like they gave the actress no training or direction on the action sequences. They should have had Daphne save herself, or Charlie save Daphne and Emma save herself so she could look competent. They went for a big romantic dramatic sacrifice that fell flat. From the conversation she had with Charlie it seemed as if Daphne had been smart enough to put some of her own money away but for plot purposes it would keep her in their orbit. I wouldn't rule out the FBI lying about senior being dead and him pretending to feed them information on other criminals while plotting with his son for revenge. I like the show just trying to figure out how it can pivot from the Charlie Emma romance and salvage the show. They put them together too quickly for you to believe he would risk so much especially since he had just made a mistake with another romance and her whole family plot never fit the show. I wouldn't mind her staying but if not the love interest how does it not get in the way especially if Charlie is conning other women and flirting? Will we always get scenes like the last one? But contracts would come into play for her whole family of actors Renewal seems a long shot because I hear no buzz about the show but stranger things have happened

Glad to see Tunji in a great Bridgerton project after he was signed to be the lead male love interest in this show and they literally put Nancy with anyone but him! Not a large role, but he will get great exposure. Nancy Drew is meant to be with Ned Nickerson....in any universe.

He also worked with Milo on The Marvelous Ms. Maisel

Emma and her family are the weakest parts of the show. Charlie does not nèed to be attached. The banter was there in the writing but the actress could not deliver. Emma rolling up in the suv running straight into gunfire to be captured by Mcguire was such a cringe scene. She looked so awkward. But the actresss never looked comfortable and that was the problem. If it comes back they need to nix Emma and Charlie or only have it as a flirtation. No one cares about her political family. That story is dead weight. Daphne could be an asset for Charlie but was always set up to be a one season character which is a shame because she was more believable than Emma and she understands the criminal world. No need to revisit Mcguire junior...ever Maybe I will get my American Hustle with a twist for season 2, vut it sounds more like Leverage A waste of Tony Shaloub. I love William F and I am still waiting for another season of Crossing Lines🤣

They do not have phones to call each other

This! These people clearly bond and make friendships or not but they respect each other and move on. I dont know why the viewing audience gets so upset over things the chefs think nothing about. It is a competition and I am sure very hectic behind the scenes. At the end of the day Gabri is still here and Sylvia didnt make good dishes so she is gone regardless of the money spent I want a Charbel, Ali ,Sara final and if 4 Tom. I could swap Budda for Sara I hope next week is a double elimination.
-
Like I said which means nothing. They can all go home at any time regardless of how many challenges they've won or didn't win, or praise from the judges. Just like being picked last meant nothing.
-
someone was going to be picked last. It really meant nothing. I am sure someone else did something impressive. Why should that have figured into a decision on Restaurant Wars....unless they were cooking lamb? I actually don't think she has won an EC or QF this season ....which means nothing, but why such an emphasis on her doing that well? She performed well for her team, and for herself, and as a competitor and professional I'm sure she would have done so picked first or last. Just goes to show how much left over trauma people have from elementary school gym class.....

It was obvious who was going to be the winner. They are all good chefs, but I continue to say that these challenges, shopping, etc. that they don't do on the international versions give the people who have done them an edge. They should have put more thought into the international version. You have three people on a team that have done Restaurant Wars and you don't expect them to win? And one worked for one of the judges? I find it hard to believe the chef world is so small they could not have found judges that never worked with contestants before. Honestly, half the time I cannot tell when they are complimenting a dish or nitpicking. Diners were literally loving the Tiramasu and they made it sound like it was average, but strawberries and cream was out of this world! My service went out, so I missed the beginning to see how the teams were formed. Is it just me, or tonight should Ali be glad he was on the winning team? If so, great because I can't stand to lose him and Charbel! And Victoire, stop saying it is "about the food," it is a competition so it will always be about more than just the food.....

My service went out!!! I cant watch the episode but sounds like it is already over😒. No vegetables?

I think we can love the show and the characters and admit that these 2 episodes were disjointed, not well written and in some parts not well acted by the supporting characters. It is ok. Everything doesnt have to make sense for us to like an episode. The reason and method for going after Will and the group home children did not make sense and scenes like standing there while he calls you to run you over? WHY? Again either explain more or leave it out. Add the why show up alone and take so long to disarm the suspect. It went heavy on the soap opera feels and not making the case and that is ok Next year I would like new writers or showrunners to tighten scripts around the crimes. They are always a mess but it nails the emotional beats. I guess it really is figuring out if this is a police procedural more or something else. Already looking forward to new wardrobe choices and hopefully the doctor and Faith and more Amanda in the field or strategizing.

I didn't say there were similarities between the characters. I said they lifted the plot and details from an episode of Monk in the same episode they copied the Equalizer
-
Love the series but these two episodes made no sense for several reasons. I also knew who the killer was from his first scene. The old cop was like a cartoon character. It should have been Amanda and Evelyn going after the suspect. Faith has been off for some episodes. Will see what happens in season 2

I was so excited for this show but the two leads do not give the romantic energy needed. The questìon is can they pivot to them just being assets? At this point it is too muddy as to why they are running cons, who for, etc. Daphne was also miscast and has the same limited number of emoting skills as the actresss whom plays Emma.

Charbel and Ali are my picks along with a sentimental Gabri so I hated the elimination. At this point I am neutral on Budda. It is hard to say where others fall. I only think about Sara ,Nicole or Tom because of comments here not their food so it is hard to see them front runners although I know many finalists did not necessarily win a lot of QFs and ECs. Not sure if it is because of the level of talent present 🤔 but I have no clue who is winning this! Yes I said and feel Charbel looks older than 25 but mature and focused, same with Ali. I maybe wrong but I would think the winner would be raising their social media presence or silent because they are busy with projects

Very stacked talent on one team. Ugh

Did anyone catch the teams for restaurant wars?

There is a new bòok coming out. I am hoping the confidence in the show for Will is reflected on the books. Angie may not be for Will but neither is Sara long term IMO. She may be nice and what he needed to see a different relationship but theirs is very high schoolish in the books, juvenile conversations and tiring. Worse it takes away from the case. Will goes from dysfunctional to thinking he is not good enough and living in the ex husbands shadow. He needs a third option in his life, more dating experience. They even have her being the mastermind in HIS books! Even if they bring sara in the show I hope they move Angie in a different direction as they did Ormewood. Sara, Will and Angie should have at least had therapy mentioned in the books!🤣 Sara had trauma too which was solved by putting her with Will. I dont know what to think about the reimaging of the Evelyn and Amanda relationship and backstory but love that they are two different takes on the characters.

What I really think is that a lot of times in male dominated professions some women dress down because they think it will make people take them more seriously, which is unfortunate and unfair. I don't think you need to be in designer clothes with a killer hair style and makeup. I do think you should be neat and clean no matter what, but especially in medicine and food related professions. I don't return to medical places where I see them perform unsanitary practices and I would never eat at a restaurant where the proprietor and staff did not take care with their appearance in terms of being neat and clean, because that says to me that you may not care about things being clean in other areas. But I have also worked in professions where I know there could be a variety of reasons that people are not taking care of their appearance, depresssion, PTSD, or survivors of abuse where they are trying to take the focus from their bodies. I just want neat....and your hair to look like it is clean and preferably not falling into my food!

Oh, the fashion on this show! I hope Season 2 has the same great style. I believe Evelyn was miscast and I say that as someone who loves that actress! Last week she was disgraced and they were at each other's throats, now she is a collaborator working on a case? I hate Ormewood and Will together. I feel like I am seeing less of Faith? Did we get any mention of where Nico is? Will and Angie's dysfunctional relationship has never bothered me. It is no different than the will they won't they that they weave into every male/female pairing on a tv show...Moonlighting, Law and Order, etc. It is tiring but as long as it is not the only focus of the show I can tolerate it. An unfortunate truth is that there are walking wounded like that amongst us every day who can function but never truly have found a way to deal with their pain. Both are handling it the best way they know how, which may not be the BEST way, but I think it is realistic.
-
Interesting the way they webt back to Amanda and Evelyn and how they chose to address Will's mother. I really hope the series gives Angie the chance the books never did.

I can only speak for myself, but my issue was why were things like Sushi included in the first place? My guess is a lot of those that were left also did not make sense. I think she is understanding the challenges o.k. just not producing her best food. I don't think she is long for the competition, but everybody has to go sometime.
