  1. She's another one who's friends with Kyle, right? I always like to consider people who grew up in LA and she fits the bill. I wonder if Erika would be jealous of her music cred? Nice suggestion. If I could get a musician I wonder how somebody like Brandy Norwood would fit?
  2. Sorry, I was unclear. I meant Rinna and Diana are givens to get fired. I was saying I think three people are going to get cut and Rinna and Diana are easily the top picks. The third one is a little harder but I'm guessing it'll be Crystal because she doesn't seem to be a fan favorite. She isn't despised or anything the way Rinna and Erika currently are but she doesn't really have a strong story. She didn't have much to say at the reunion either.
  3. Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone has any ideas since there should almost certainly be one or two new cast members after this season. Maybe even three. We also need a new Sheree. Don't the friends usually get to pop by the reunion for a hot minute? The only one I remember not getting any reunion time was Faye Resnick. Even Dana Pam got to attend the reunion. Interesting that there's a post from back in 2018 that said Tori Spelling would be joining. I wonder what happened there? What about Alyssa Milano? She's probably too nice to want to do it but I feel like she could hold her own with the ladies. Ali Larter seems like she'd be a good fit and am I wrong in thinking that she knows Kyle? I still want us to get some royal adjacent cred with Sophie Winkleman. Vanessa Marcil could interesting. Another soap diva, has a famous ex, has been rumored to be temperamental. Doing a lot of Hallmark lately so I feel like maybe she has the time? Brooke Burns. Luxurious lifestyle but seems fairly down to earth. Has two famous exes. Kids are seventeen years apart in age which could be interesting. Kelly Hu is Garcelle's age and their Hollywood careers started around the same time. Bianca Lawson. Grew up in LA and has been acting since she was a child. Older than Crystal but younger than Dorit. Her dad married Beyonce's mom so she has some famous step relatives.
  4. I agree with you that she doesn't bring anything to the table (apart from her adorable children) but it's like you said--I don't think they want to replace 4 cast members. Plus I think Kyle wants her to stay and it's more or less Kyle's friend group that we're watching these days. Since Rinna and Diana are givens and Andy seems fond of Erika, that leaves Crystal, Sutton and Dorit up for discussion. (No way are they dumping Garcelle.) I can see Dorit being told she needs to step it up a notch or else be demoted to friend. Maybe it'll be like that season with Luann where she was demoted but had enough of a storyline where it seemed like she was a main cast member anyway. Money wise Dorit seems like she needs this show so I'm inclined to think she'll go all out in order to stay relevant. In years past I think Sutton would have been forgettable, possibly even a one and done, but the FFF have made her such a punching bag since she's been on the show that she's an easy person to root for. Plus she doesn't go out of her way to be mean--that always helps. I'd like to think she's safe for that reason alone in addition to being a friend of fan favorite Garcelle.
  5. I agree with you that Erika has the strongest chance of staying. It couldn't be more clear to me that Andy likes her. With Rinna, he held her feet to the fire a little more. Not enough of course but he seemed to at least acknowledge how cringe worthy Rinna is this season. Plus I don't think he wants to see any of the ladies go into nonstop dumpster fire territory when it comes to their social media. I wonder how long it will take to reveal next season's cast? The only housewives who seem truly safe to me next season are Kyle, Garcelle, Dorit and Sutton. Rinna, Erika, Diana, Crystal and Kathy are all up in the air.(With Kathy though it's because she might not want to come back. Not because she's been given the axe.)
  6. If Rinna genuinely believed that Kathy was having a psychotic break and that she needed to lock herself inside of her room for protection, why didn't Rinna reach out to someone other than Erika? When Kelly Bensimon had her breakdown on Scary Island, production stepped in and Kelly went back home. Rinna didn't have to call 911 but she could have called Kyle. She could have called Mauricio or had Kyle call Mauricio since he was in the house. This could have been done just to see if Kathy was okay. If she didn't want to go through Kyle she could have reached out to production. Rinna didn't do any of these things. My guess is that she didn't reach out to anyone (other than her sidekick Erika) because the incident at the house wasn't nearly as bad as she made it out to be. Not to the point where she thought Kathy was literally having a psychotic break. The other thing that's obvious to me is why Kathy chose to confide in Rinna in the first place. Based on what we've seen, I think Rinna was doing a fair amount if shit talking too and that's why Kathy felt comfortable enough to truly vent. I doubt very much that Rinna ever said "Honestly, I'm really uncomfortable with what you're saying right now. I think we should just call it a night and reset in the morning ." Instead she was gleefully taking in every word that Kathy was saying and did everything but munch popcorn while doing so. She was enjoying witnessing Kathy talk out of school and couldn't wait to share it with the group (in front of the cameras). This whole thing fell into her lap and her first instinct was to turn it into a story where she had one of the starring roles.
  7. My frustration really peaked here. I get so annoyed when there's no follow up to moments like this. Her hypocrisy knows no bounds. She's lied, screamed, and been inappropriate on camera at multiple points--does she think the viewers just forgot about all of the grenades she's lobbed over the years? I did cringe though when Kathy said the text wasn't in her phone. Girl. Best moment for me was Kathy telling Erika that she has more credibility than her. Awesome burn and so, so true. The most intriguing moment for me was Kyle shutting down Dorit's interjection when she suggested that Kathy was looking for a little acknowledgement from Kyle that this hasn't been a one sided feud all these years where Kyle is the constant victim. Kyle's anger at Dorit there was the real deal; it was palpable. I don't think Kyle would have reacted that way if Dorit had said something that was straightforwardly in support of Kyle. Dorit's comment seemed fair, objective and gentle in its delivery but Kyle reacted as though Dorit had stepped way out of bounds.
  8. This is why I asked over in the Rinna thread if there was any credibility to this and if any mainstream outlet had picked up the story. So far I haven't read anything to confirm this rumor. It isn't impossible for me to believe that Rinna might go there, but I need to see more proof before I believe that she'd be that stupid. I feel like she'd be more likely to get someone to do her dirty work for her.
  9. I'm in the minority because I definitely missed the Russian pairs. With the other three disciplines there are so many strong skaters that the absence isn't really felt. With pairs though it's like what happened? Not having the Russians and the Chinese made this event the least fun to watch. I like Alexa and Brandon and hope they keep up their winning streak I'm just wondering why there are so few decent teams out there. It's disappointing that there aren't more nations with pairs teams who are capable of stepping up now that there's this awesome opportunity.
  10. The impression that I get is that she wants a dream performance. She always starts out wanting that perfect skate and when she makes a mistake she's unable to fully recover mentally. Even before she had her hiatus, this was a problem. She'd start to give up after the first mistake. Her triple flip has always been unreliable, I can't even count how many times she's missed it in competition. Very often she starts to give up once she misses a jump. I wish she'd just focus on each element as she's doing it. Take one thing at a time and give each element your all instead of worrying about what happened earlier in the program. I know it won't happen because she doesn't have a major title but I would love it if NBC replaced Tara with Polina. She's my favorite current skating commentator.
  11. I feel the same. I love the show and think almost everything about this adaptation has been stellar. It's ridiculously entertaining and hits all of the right notes. It's probably my favorite show right now aside from The Crown. That being said, I think this choice with Rhaenys was a rare misstep for the show. No matter how the showrunners attempt to spin it, it just makes Rhaenys seem stupid. She kills a bunch of innocent smallfolk but fails to kill the handful of people who are all on board to rip the realm apart? How many lives might have been spared if she'd done what was in her power? If nothing else I feel like Aegon and Aemond should have immediately been rushed out of the room before the dust from her entrance settled. If Rhaenys looked around and saw that they'd already escaped, her decision to spare the others wouldn't have annoyed me as much.
  12. Yes! I wish one of the other housewives would say something about this. Rinna is deeply jealous of Kris and everything she's done for her daughters. (She's also jealous of how Yolanda was able to make both Gigi and Bella happen in a way that Delilah and Amelia aren't anywhere close to reaching.) I think it was both exciting and frustrating for her when Amelia started dating Scott. On the one hand it gave her daughter more exposure, otoh she had to acknowledge that her daughter was a fling of a Kardashian baby daddy who was twentysomething years older than her to boot. She knows her family's place in the Kardashian Hilton Hadid pecking order and it drives her nuts. Rinna's values are pretty basic: Money, fame, thin body and constant attention. That's all she wants for herself and her daughters. She'll take any kind of attention. Boos at Bravocon, haters on social media, Andy chastising her at a reunion--as long as she's making money while people are talking about her she's content.
  13. With a person who had their shit together this would be a big deal to me but Kim is an addict and an alcoholic. This was a period where she was quite obviously using and drinking so I can't fault Kyle too much for stepping in to help Kim with her kids. I also don't blame Kim's kids for wanting to come to Kyle given their mother's lack of stability. I actually think it's a point in Kyle's favor that she was there for Kim’s kids for support, advice, etc. I acknowledge though that Kyle probably should have been more sensitive to her sister by not mentioning any of this on camera.
  14. So are any mainstream outlets running with this story or is this something that is going to slip under the radar and there will be no consequences for Rinna? Has this been fact checked? It's not that I can't believe that she'd be capable of using a burner account to spew vile shit, it's just hard to believe that she wouldn't be a little more slick about covering her tracks. It's annoying when stuff like this happens post reunion instead of before. Very curious if there's solid proof or not.
  15. I love this short program. I really like Amber's skating but haven't really responded to her programs in the past. It feels nice that she finally has a short program I can get behind. I have to admit that as much as I adore Kaori, I preferred Isabeau's program. I really like Kurakova and hope she comes back strong in the long. I wish Gracie hadn't fallen. She was on her way to building a memorable moment. So, no more Tanith commentary for dance? I guess she's extra busy these days plus a bit of a conflict of interest. I'll have to get used to Kaitlyn but I like her commentary so far.
  16. She was a gem. Warm, friendly and happy with her life. In response the majority of the ladies ran all over her and treated her poorly. Even Erika. Eileen went out of her way to get Erika a cameo gig on Y&R and in very little time Erika tore into her and made her cry. ETA: Ideally she's smart enough to never come back to this show.
  17. To me "overserved" is almost as overused as "my truth". It's a lowkey way to absolve oneself of responsibility when it comes to alcohol consumption. Oh, I didn't drink too much, I was simply overserved. People don't want to take responsibility for cutting themselves off when it comes to drinking, so they want to hand the task over to somebody else. With "my truth", there's been this conflation between a person's perception and objective fact. "My truth" gives people wiggle room to obfuscate, pivot, embellish, downplay, or straight up lie whenever it suits their purpose. Not that everyone does that when using the phrase but it happens enough where I automatically question why a person (particularly a Housewife) chooses to use that phrase in any given conversation. Rinna is exactly the sort of person who has abused the phrase "my truth" in the past. (Dorit and Erika have as well.) She uses it so that if cast or viewers find objective discrepancies in her truth that she'll be able fall back on the idea that other people have their truth but it doesn't make her truth any less valid. Crystal essentially did the same thing in this episode and since we never actually hear the "dark" comment for ourselves, viewers are left to either believe that Crystal is sincere in labeling this as her truth or that she was in fact exaggerating so that the comment would seem more sinister than it actually was. We'll never know and that's why it's frustrating when moments like this become big parts of the conversations between the ladies--if they aren’t caught on camera, the audience isn't really allowed to make an informed decision about these petty squabbles that get blown into battles by the trained assassins.
  18. Definitely an improvement over last season. I honestly wasn't looking forward to this season because last season was so boring but this season has grabbed me. So far so good. I wonder if the Denis O'Hare character is involved with Zach Quinto's character?
  19. Rinna acted like Garcelle had committed the worst sort of betrayal when she acknowledged that she'd done some filming with LVP. My memory on what happened with LVP and Rinna is admittedly hazy but I don't think it warranted the reaction that Rinna gave when Garcelle admitted to being in contact with LVP. I don't believe that Dorit was a victim of LVP's but from Dorit's perspective, (going with the idea that she believes Lisa tried to destroy her reputation) she has a fair enough beef to not want to associate with her any longer. Erika, Rinna and Kyle though? I don't get why they all had that reaction as if Garcelle had just told them all that she signed her name in the devil's book. Erika's comment about LVP was so typical of her. If somebody throws a rock at Erika she retaliates by launching a scud missile. Even people like Kyle who don't like LVP seemed like they were suffering from second hand embarrassment after that comment. Erika never misses the chance to be unnecessarily cruel.
  20. This was a rare moment for me where I felt a little disappointed in Garcelle. I think she probably thought she was being honest in the moment but I think it would have come off a little better if she'd said something like "not really" or "not usually". Leave some wiggle room to indicate that Sutton *can* make things about herself but not so much that it seems like Garcelle is taking the side of the women who have been cruel to them all season long. For me it came off as really harsh because Garcelle is more or less seen as the fair one, so if Garcelle believes that Sutton makes everything about herself that's going to make the impression stick more than it might otherwise have. I agree too with Ms Blue Jay that saying that in that moment was what made it feel unkind and, yes, unnecessary. Would it really have compromised Garcelle's values to be a little charitable toward her friend here? I felt for Sutton in that moment. She must feel so isolated. To expand on that a little, I think Garcelle and Crystal have also had the same feeling of isolation within the group at various points. All three have them have had multiple moments this season where they're made to feel that they don't belong in the A group. Excluding Garcelle from the group chat? It's so rude and mean girlish, how do these idiots not see that? I'm very curious to know if Sutton and Crystal are also excluded from the group chat or if it's just Garcelle. Is Diana in it? This was a big reveal to me. How do they think that makes her feel? Imagine the contents of that text chain--I can promise you they would not want the viewers to see it.
  21. I feel stupid for not getting what FHONY means? Will some kind person here please explain what the F stands for? Thanks in advance. I'll give it a chance. I always give the first episode of each city a chance. So far only Beverly Hills and NY have done it for me although I will watch Potomac and OC from time to time. Still trying to make it through UGT. Very curious if there are any genuine friendships here or if they just threw together a few women who vaguely know each other.
  22. I'm so glad she has that national title. I've admired her skating for almost a decade and am happy to see her leaving on a high note. (It’s so hard to do that in this sport.) Glad that she will be doing shows for awhile.
  23. I'm curious how we're going to get the history of the family. There's like over 300 years of history IIRC. If we get flashbacks I really hope they do justice to them because the history of the family was my favorite part of The Witching Hour. I hated Lasher and wonder what all they're going to do there. Problematic doesn't even begin to cover it. Agreed that Mona was terrible. Is it for sure that there's no Julian? For me Julian, Marguerite, and Mary Beth were the most interesting of the Mayfairs. Stella's story was interesting but her characterization was shallow so I feel like they could improve on that. Charlotte was weird. Love that Harry Hamlin is in this. He won me over in Mad Men so I'm always happy to see him pop up in something I watch.
  24. Any chance we can trade in Rinna for the other Billie aka Krista Allen? She's around the age of Kyle and Garcelle. She's had a career that's more or less on the level of Rinna's. She's dated some interesting men over the years including George Clooney. She lives in LA. I actually liked Rinna when she first joined the show. I thought she was funny and she seemed like she didn't take herself too seriously. (I always think of her shamelessly wearing at cardboard sign around her neck in LA asking cars to honk if they want to see her in the new Melrose Place. If that wasn't a hint about her desperation level of doing whatever it takes to hang onto her C list place in the industry, I don't know what is.) About three years in or so on this show, for me the negative aspects of Rinna's character started to become more and more apparent. Her thirstiness, her disloyalty and her deliberate meanness--it's become too much. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that she needs some sort of therapy. For Rinna's own benefit, I think she needs to put herself on pause. She needs a reminder that there's more to life than this show. There's still time for her to do more with her life than be a Kris Jenner wannabe.
  25. Interesting. I'd never really thought about this before but you're right. The only time I can think of her being in the hot seat is maybe at the reunions.
