  1. I'm watching this programme for the first time, starting with Series 1 and my god do I feel bad for Molly, Jacob, Zach and Amy, in that order. The first few series were okay, typical early aughts "reality", but by series five or so it's almost painful to watch. Eight has just started and I'm a bit astounded at how little the twins have prepared for their post high school years. Was all the college and job talk just a storyline? Were they all pretending because they knew LPBW was their actual plans but they couldn't come out and admit that? I mean, both got low SAT scores and grades but Matt is wondering outloud about top schools like Pepperdine and UCLA?! It's like he was living in a dream world. I sure hope their private school was cheap because it didn't seem to be doing a great job.
  2. Won't be watching, but if combined those three into one........ 🏚️🦵🥙🚍
  3. HGTV has been showing a new programme with musician Lil Jon. Here's a place to talk about it www.hgtv.com/shows/lil-jon-wants-to-do-what
  4. Not every child needs, or wants, a neighborhood full of children.
  5. The boat house looked washed out with all that white. The old fireplace hood and the new fireplace completely clashed with each other and with the rest of the place. The only good thing they did was to put in more windows. Should have left the ceiling wood coloured or painted it blue/rust/brown etc.
  6. I don't think "fix" is the right word to describe what she does to those beautiful houses.
  7. Yet as a woman she's getting paid less and condos on higher floors are more expensive. A bit of a Catch-22 eh?
  8. If viewers are lucky: never
  9. The kitchen in the first NC house was a huge waste of space and badly laid out. They should have cut it in half and used the other part as a dining room or den/office. On a completely non house note, the HH guy had no butt. Either that or he was wearing some serious spanx and very large jeans.
  10. You mean use him for his families' money. Without that he'd have none. And since he has so much I doubt he'd care.
  11. I have no idea if the celebs pay or not, but I can assure you the PBs are NOT executing any work. They are just there to film a few scenes that they're acting in, that's it.
  12. Waaaaaayyyy to much grey. The interior looked depressing.
  13. I had the joy of comparing the a plunge pool to running through an oscillating sprinkler several summers back and in the end picked the sprinkler. If you just want to float the pool was okay, but I realised I wanted to do a bit of swimming, diving to the bottom, throwing a ball around etc in a pool, and there was no room for that. Whereas the sprinkler was refreshing and easily catered for games and activities.
  14. Both Kate and Jon were/are monsters. Just different breeds.
  15. Maybe you should see a therapist for that ;)
  16. Or old children (eg adults) to cool off quickly. It was a plunge pool if I recall correctly. It don't think the material matters as much as how the I-beams and connector bits are built. What I recall from GCSE physics was a lesson with toothpicks and marshmallows.....
  17. From the start I didn't think I'd like the LA female hunter and I was right. That poor daughter.
  18. I would refuse to use any of the lines the producer gives me but I would be memorable by asking for something completely off the wall. Then again, I'd probably be memorable just because I asked for walls.
  19. Amelia Bedelia, The Pain and the Great One, Bunnicula, and Tomie dePaola's legends and folktales are some of mine and mine families' faves. Then again I've also been trying to indoctrinate my children into believing that Barbara Tuchman is a children's author lol. It's tough going but there have been a few wins. Kids can be quite interested in hearing how children lived hundreds of years ago.
  20. Just what the world needs, another Z list celeb teen hawking unneeded "beauty" aids. Ick.
  21. It goes along with the ridiculous idea that the kitchen is the "heart of the home" and therefore the entire public area should be mostly kitchen. It doesn't seem many HGTV buyers actually care much about function over form. Or should I say function, form, style, architecture and happiness over trend.
  22. But why is Debra being blamed for this? Two to tango and all that.
  23. She only embraced their Korean-ness in the physical sense because it made the tups different from all the other sextuplets and multiples out there. The other children Kate felt her kids were in competition with for a piece of the tup pie. That's why she bemoaned Alexis looking White (in her opinion).
  24. Emma Thompson's Sense and Sensibility: The Diaries. Genuinely laugh out loud funny and a wonderful behind the scenes view at making a film. Plus it has the entire screenplay, which she won an Oscar for.
  25. Gotta say I would go out of my way not to hire him.
