Which is just skirting laws re: racism/bigotry.

So long as the Property Jackasses are still there I'll skip it.

You know, you'd think so but damn lake water can be cold even in mid-summer. And the cold sort of.... freezes things up lol. -

Didn't like the Berlin couple, but the guy gets a teeny-tiny point for saying the flat looked like his grandparent's house, not his grandmother's house. Still, I'd like to see people cook in smaller kitchens to, if nothing else, learn that they don't need a kitchen the size of Toledo to cook a meal. -
Really? Because if I was entering their abode to murder one of them (which I swear I never normally do) it would have been him, no question. Between laziness and obsession with his childhood, yuck.

Well, nekid Ewan McGregor.... -
There was obviously more to the Temecula story, though I do have to point out they didn't mention how long they'd had their better jobs. Could have been for 5-10 years... And just because they had a dog doesn't mean that bought it.

Too damn bad it is, too. A series with primetimers and HGTV 'talent' would be awesome. But that might let out the secret that there is more to houses than open concept grey/white...

Not those in the UK or Ireland. And I guess she's a "when in Rome" type. I'd love to know the real story behind the Edinburgh hunter's move. -
Ah, but you are lucky enough not to live in HGTV-land. Where prices don't matter, bathrooms must be the size of a sports hall and anything that isn't white/grey is old and ugly.

Wouldn't that just be teenagers then? Aren't we past the time where a female who isn't slathered in pink and who hates sports/outdoors/tools needs to have another name to describe them or a qualifier? Can't they just be women? Though I can't stand people, especially women, who call other women "girls". Ick. But yeah, Dave and Jenny don't come off well at all. Ty never really did.

The other flats were overlooking hers, ie they could view her home from above(ish) as they were so close. -
Really? Unless the competitors are actual designers you might as well watch the first three (?) series. Practically the same houses and "drama" in all of them.
-
Why? It's not like they're going to lose their HGTV spot because of it. Someone will still be either stupid or desperate enough to pay $1m+. The whole of the competition in all the series, except maybe the Detroit couple and Egypt and Mike this year, are just cruising along. Why bother doing the true work of design, let alone architecture, when they can get paid just as much by churning out the same product, thought up and 'designed' by someone else, over and over and over. Easy peasy.
-
The worst is when they want to put "their stamp" on something and that stamp looks like every flip and new build around.

Considering the prices a lot of people buying homes know they may only be able to buy one house, ever.
-
You must not watch much HGTV then.

The main problem of HGTV is that it's not hard to be the total opposite of "designers" like the other competition on Rock the Block. There is so little the distinguish one from another that it's not worth looking.
-
Really? I felt for her because hubby seemed like a fratboy type who never grew up.

I laughed my ass off when he said they can start a private school that's cheaper and better than the ones that already exist. Moron. The trips they did to pyramids etc were completely lost on the younger girls. And btw, do they plan on teaching their children only about the well off and touristy parts of the world? Seems like. -
But they're only renovating the White, middle/upper-class part of the town.
-
I liked that she moved the kitchen in Korea Town but I don't want my laundry in there. She also went way to heavy on the white. The outside looked horrible, the kitchen and bathrooms were lacking any design. And why did that brick in the bathroom look like it needed to be cleaned?
-
It's all the producers. Appraisals differ depending on the appraiser/seller and are all too often completely arbitrary.
-
That Lancaster couple should not be allowed to procreate. Especially him. He seriously thought it would be harder to have stairs than to do a renovation when pregnant and with a newborn?! I did find funny her comment that two sinks would be nice if they ever happen to get ready together.

I'm in the area and had a few guesses for where that Arlington house is, each quite a short drive to Washington. I wish they'd said what neighborhood the rowhouse was in.
