  1. Absolutely agree with the above. TLC would be having ads all over re "The Last Season". And maybe slip in a hint it will be a Tell All season? That would certainly draw back all the people that literally gave up on the show, to see how it all ends. The bad side of that coin could be it could draw back so many viewers TLC might decide on a spin off of some sort...... hmmm.......ugh!
  2. 5,231 steps yesterday. As I expected the errands added steps, but also didn't help my knee. For a while before I went out to do my errands my knee felt pretty good and I was thinking it was finally healing. But not there yet, so will take it easy again today. As I feared, the errand run did make my knee sorer by the time all was done. I did find a great new pair of boots, DryShod, waterproof insulated and yet breathable. They are high calf but the upper part of the boot can be rolled down as needed. Pricey but a really good boot with a great sole that really grips the ground, much needed! Really lessens my fear of slipping and falling outside. -7°F when I went out to feed and water the cats, by the time I got in, it was -10°F. Today's forecast is 14°F/-5°F. This arctic front will be in place the next few days so my plan is to stay put here in the house and only go out as cats need attention.
  3. 3,989 steps yesterday. The resting has definitely paid off, knee is much better today. Unfortunately I have errands to run today. I need to take the garbage up to the road, go to the Country Store and get a new heated outside water bowl for the cats (especially with the minus overnights coming), then go to PO and grocery store. My driveway looks like I can get out, so better go now while I can. After I run my errands will tell the tale how my knee is feeling. I cancelled dentist and will call to get new appt later. The plan is to stay on rest schedule after errand run today and see how the knee recovers. I am so not going to push it in any way, especially this time of year when the weather can be a huge obstacle to "resting"!
  4. Well, a rousing 3,303 steps yesterday. The bare minimum of walking just to get the cats and myself fed basically. Still used the cane a lot durning the day, but today I'm getting around a bit better w/out it. Can't use it outside as too slippery, but going very slowly out. there gets me around OK. Today's forecast is 28°F/5°F and cloudy with maybe a few slight flurries of snow. Then the next three days a cold front is moving in with highs only in the teens and overnights ranging from -5°F to -16°F!! At least not much snow with it, just possible flurries on Monday, so no shoveling. I have a dentist appt up in town Tues. that I am going to cancel. Bad/icy roads and a sore knee on driving leg are not a mix I want to try!
  5. Yes! And with 3 possibly 4 versions of the "truth" we may actually see a pattern and a glimmer of the real "truth". We'll probably never really know, but the fun of digging trough their "truths" may be fun in itself!
  6. 5,487 steps yesterday. Only about 2-3" new snow and I only did a little shoveling yesterday. My rt knee was pretty sore during the day but I could walk fairly well. In the evening it got so bad I could hardly stand on it and needed to use my walker for a bit, then I could get by with the cane after sitting a while. Then by bedtime I could walk very gingerly without aid. This morning it is stiff, but for now getting by w/out aid. But I haven't been out to feed the cats yet. The ice is what worries me a bit. But I will be very careful. At least no new snow overnight and just a few flurries for the morning...
  7. Hard question to answer because it can vary so much! Typically snow season lasts from November to March with the heaviest snow in January and February. However, snow can fall as early as October and as late as April. One year, since I moved here in 2004, it snowed in June! This year January was really unusual with hardly any snow, but February is coming in strong!!
  8. 4,609 steps yesterday. Took it really easy as weather forecast yesterday said more snow overnight and today. And it was right! Only about 1" new snow now, but 2-4" more expected during the day today. This shoveling is taking a toll, my knee is still buckling, (but not as much from the rest), my left shoulder is really sore and my hands just don't like it at all. Besides the shoveling, I am going to take it really easy the rest of the day today. Steps will just be what they are...
  9. I bailed on this season early on, but I did watch the finale rerun today. I didn't like how close the chefs were to the contestants during the final meal either. I really thought it was childish how Jeff was throwing distracting comments at Antonio's cook. They are under enough pressure as it is w/out that nonsense! And the time Antonio's cook almost knocked something on to the floor, she helped stop it from falling, or at least it sure looked like she did. I don't now just how bad the final two were in the beginning, but the food they cooked did look pretty good for "worst cooks".
  10. 5,234 steps yesterday. Plus another almost 3 hours clearing snow. My arms and knees feel it the most. I did something to my right knee yesterday, it buckled several times and hurt when it did. I have to walk very mindfully so I don't fall. I had hoped I would sleep it off but it has already done it once this morning. It doesn't hurt just sitting and most times when walking, only when it buckles. Will watch it and see if I need a dr to look at it. No chores needed today other than feeding the cats. It doesn't look like there will be much new snow today so will probably not have to shovel, thank goodness. I plan to take it really easy.
  11. I have a feeling that it is such a tangled mess no one could decipher it! I bet there are no true records of who earned what money, what was "put in the pot" and who put or took things out of it. Or how the various homes were financed and where proceeds went from sales...... It is probably as tangled and ugly as Kody's hair!!
  12. It wasn't all at once, about an hour in the morning when I went out to feed the cats. Then a bit later, another hour clearing paths on the front deck, for the cats that spend most of their time out there, so I could put water in their bowls. And then in the afternoon, clearing the snow around /and off my car and freeing around the tires. I knew there would be more snow coming last night so I didn't want the car completely buried. And yes!! I was totally exhausted by evening! And today was close to the same and I am soooo glad that the storm has moved on!!
  13. 5,484 steps yesterday, but about 3 hours of snow shoveling through the day! Shoveling isn't as many steps, but it is a lot of exercise!! Totally exhausted by evening. Today more shoveling but the worst is over for this storm. Just a few snow showers through the day. Now the real snow clear out comes! Especially the concrete pad in front of the garage as when that melts it flows back into garage. I guess they didn't level it properly to prevent that when it was poured. Laundry is on my list for today beside any more snow shoveling. Otherwise rest as my back, knees and arms/hands are really feeling the over use the past 2 days.
  14. 6,839 steps yesterday. Ran a couple of errands, and more phone calls yesterday. Today it is going to be shoveling more than mere steps. The count may be lower but the exercise will be much more! This morning at 7AM, when I went out to feed the cats, it was 11° and snowing. At that point, 5" total, now at least 2 more inches. Time to go out and shovel my paths again! This sign was on my local Ace when I went out yesterday to do my errands:
  15. Good question! I do think about that and that factored in when I bought my home here. I bought in the valley, it is flat to go everywhere I have to go, grocery, PO drug store and only a slight hill to drive up to town for the different doctors. So that makes the driving easier/safer as long as I am able to drive. Though I am on a dirt road off the main street which has its challenges in wet or snowy weather. I just stay home when conditions are icy or too muddy or snowy. So being able to drive is a big thing. I have friends that could/would help at that point. I can hire people for yard work or snow removal as I get to the point I just can't/don't want to shovel any more. If I couldn't drive any more and I am not able to physically take care of myself alone at home that would be the deal breaker. As long as I feel good about living alone, safe and able to function I'm OK. The end game plan is moving back to CA near or with my daughter. Who knows when that day will come...hopefully not for a long, long time!
  16. Oh I know that! Yes, she was entitled to her share, what I meant was to question if she actually did share it!
  17. In the previews again Kody is trying to shut down the question!! He should have to answer all the questions!
  18. Oh boo hoo Kody, sure she wants to get away from you! It is none of your business what she does or why anymore!
  19. "That's not bad." what a face Janelle made, I laughed out loud!
  20. Do you really think so? I wonder....
  21. Does Janelle have another spot/sore near her lower left lip? Maybe it is just the lighting, hope the skin cancer isn't back.
  22. Liar Robyn...she was very aware of where/with who Kody was at all times!! You betcha she cared!!
  23. I must have blinked or dozed off, I missed that she wanted Kody to baptize her!
  24. Didn't Robyn say she had been baptized before in their religion but they don't follow that any more...?
  25. Delusional much Kody??? Janelle is so done with you!
