I addressed this last week, but never got an answer. It is impossible to get studio-quality sound on your back patio with a highway and what looked like an airport behind you, as Gunn did. Where/when did they do the three takes?

Music professional here. From the first to the last contestant it seemed to me that they had recorded their songs in the studio and were singing along with the recordings. Their mouths were not always in sync with the music. How could each of those settings get studio sound, especially the ones that were outdoors???

I certainly thought that this HAD to be the reason.

I just came here to say that. You can tell that they are reading their guesses. In other words, their scripts that the writers have given them. Jenny must be quite friendly with the producers or something.

The suspicious side of me says that the entire Battle Rounds portion of the season is pre-planned.
