  1. I saw that. Blech. Like this show needs more stupid melodramatic writing with these characters personal lives :-/
  2. I liked the first few episodes, I thought it had promise. But this last episode was annoying and not really funny. There's a fine line between satire with an annoying, overbearing boss who doesn't listen when the underlings speak truth and just annoyance and frustration. And the show has gone over into the frustration side for me with the boss. I like everyone else but yea. I hope it gets better and finds its footing but it was an annoying episode to watch, especially since it mirrors so much of my work life with the corporate overlords who set unreasonable goals and then blame the employees for not making them.
  3. That was a really good episode but man, so heavy. So freaking sad. And wow, I usually find Julian McMahon to be mediocre at best, but he really did a good job when he was showing his empathetic upset for what Thuy had gone through and how it reminded him of what his wife had gone through as a Native American woman. That was a really good scene. And the microracism with that one guy and his mom and how he acted like they were such good people because they weren't "overtly" racist, was well written. Reminds me of my mom's stories of her in laws saying racist things in front of her and then going "oh but we don't mean you" like that makes what they are saying ok. My heart broke for Thuy. All she wanted was her boy to be happy and healthy and she never saw how angry and wounded he was and him being pushed more and more over the edge. Just a sad story.
  4. I think I'm the only one who didn't like it lol. Chibnall is really such a bad writer, sigh. And why did it take the Daleks pointing out the Tardis was the one causing the time loop? That made the Doctor look so stupid. And I guess Dan's whole purpose is to be a shipper and cheerleader for Doctor/Yaz? Ugh. I soooo hate these "romances" with the Doctor and Companion the reboots have catered too. I was really hoping at least with a female Doctor, we'd escape that. But I guess not. Another reason why I miss Donna and Bill. I did find Sarah amusing. It was the actress lol. She had some spark and energy and sarcasm I appreciated immensely lol. I will be so glad when RTD comes back.
  5. Never going to find out the Captain's name lol. That was very sweet and sad. I feel bad for Fanny. Makes her ending all the more poignant. Murdered by the closeted gay guy she was forced to marry to save her family. Dang. I've been reading non fiction history books and man, women really had crappy lives. No choices. I felt bad for Nick too. I like to think he got his life turned around after this! Not a lot of humor but I enjoyed the comedic moments with Robin and Mary. They were pretty darn funny! I liked how the Captain and Julian couldn't blow Kitty's Santa dreams. Thomas was an idiot. It was clearly undone! Lol. But it's Thomas, he can't deal with stuff like this without melodrama lol. All in all, not that humorous but I enjoyed it sooooo much more than the one with Mike's family. (I found his family so rude to him. Only one I liked was the baby!) But this one was sweet and satisfying. I enjoyed it.
  6. Thanks, DanaK! I've seen those guys listed a while ago but I am not familiar with the show. Michael Sheen just came out addressing fan casting, saying he is NOT the new Doctor. He'd still be awesome if he was!!
  7. I enjoyed the first two episodes. Some of the humor was a little too juvenile but some of it had me in stitches! I loved "oh good, for a minute there I was worried we built a car that didn't hit Indian people!" LOL!! it reminded me a little of "Better off Ted."
  8. Has anyone seen any sites with rumors of who is in the running for the Doctor? I remember so many before Peter and Jodie were announced but I haven't seen any at all since the ones shortly after her departure was announced.
  9. I am not a fan of that answer. Because he's saying they didn't have time for them anymore, but they have time for the ridiculous melodrama of his dad, step mother, girlfriend, girlfriend's ex and his teenage-now-bratty-daughter stuff? I'd much rather have the low key, pleasant inlaws then the crap storylines we get with his home life now :-/
  10. HATED that cliffhanger!! And I really can't stand Duncan. I've never liked him and now, I HATE how his incredible STUPIDITY is bringing JIMMY down too! Especially when Jimmy WARNED him!!! Ugh!! Thank goodness they filmed s6 and s7 together!
  11. We're officially getting a fourth season!!! Ghost Season 4. "Katy Wix has confirmed that the BAFTA-nominated BBC sitcom will be returning for a fourth series, which is expected to start filming at West Horsley Place in January 2022." Woot woot!!
  12. I have to rewatch this because I didn't have captions yet and it was hard for me to understand them all. Shows SERIOUSLY need to stop playing music and special effects so dang loud they drown out voices!! This is the first Chibnall story I'm actually enjoying. I'm kind of surprised LOL. I still am not fond of Jodie's portrayal but she's not as bad for me as previously in this season. It definitely helps not seeing her run around, calling her companions "fam." Ruth has still just got such a presence on screen, even for such a little bit of time!! I was so glad to see Jo back!! Guys!! I never even thought of Vinder dying!! Noooo!! :-( I want him and her (I didn't catch her name, no captions!) to be reuinited!! I loved her. Just acting by herself and again, she had charisma and spark and made me root for her! (Was the actress in the Irregulars?) And the ANGELS!! I am really hoping rewatching with CC helps me understand the story a little better tho. The Time stuff was a bit confusing.
  13. There's a promotional photo and press release/synopsis up for the Christmas special! Spoiler.tv link Not sure if the synopsis is a spoiler or not, so I'll put it in spoiler code to be safe!
  14. I don't like when they bring up Tiffany's past with NYPD because they write her so unlikable in those episodes, and they've done it too much lately. Every time they focus on her like this, I start to dislike her more. I'm still irritated they let her off so easy over the crap with her cousin and made Scola apologize to her.
  15. Ugh. Come on, writers, enough with the family drama of the agents!!
  16. Thanks, I didn't catch that that it sounds like it picks up shortly after the last one. Yea, no way they could use the kids then! Lol.
  17. That was...grotesque. I liked the episode up until Angelo kidnapped a 13 year old girl so her previously unknown grandfather could rape her. That was just a gross "twist". I was on Angelo's side until then too, cause at least he hadn't murdered a little kid (that boy earlier and the original victim). But ugh. That poor girl! And her mom. Blech. I do like the new team though. It's nice that everyone is low key and calm, and no more flying off the handle like Crosby always did. And it was sooooo nice to not have any melodrama from Jess' family!! I still miss Clinton though :-(
  18. Minus the return of Whistler (man, I was hoping she was gone!), I liked this episode. Nice to see a competent older woman mentor for Tennant. I hope Aunt Maggie comes back!! And I hope the couple get a happy ending. Felt bad her handler ended up dead though!
  19. I wonder from who...? Because Yaz and the Doctor didn't see it happen to her...I kept screaming at her to close the door when she finally got over the threshold! Alas, she did not listen lol. She didn't have long but she and her story definitely intrigued me. I like the "timey-wimey" type stories!
  20. I really like Michael McKean but I am with you on Shadwell. Hopefully they will have him play someone else. I have to look up the kid's names but are they coming back? I liked them but I also kind of hope not. I feel like that story finished well and I'd like the "happy ending" of Adam and his friends going back to their childhoods be left alone.
  21. I watched this show after seeing the trailers for the American one and have really come to love it. It's got comedy and heart and is so well acted and well written!! I am really hoping it comes back for another season!! I've been so disappointed by the American version. I just keep rewatching this one instead! I love Robin lol.
  22. Did anyone else feel like Claire KNEW what was waiting for her when she went home? On my rewatch, I noticed it seemed like after Claire left Thirteen and Yaz, she had to try and push herself to go home, like she was anxious/worried about it.
  23. Got it, thank you!! I knew it sounded familiar but I could not remember. Swarm's speech to her makes more sense now. Thank you! One more comment on the episode: I hope Diane is ok. I knew as soon as she and Dan made plans something would happen! Though I didn't think it would be to her but to him lol. I hope she comes out ok. And it made me laugh that Dan was getting kicked out of the museum for doing impromptu tours. What museum wouldn't like an enthusiastic tour guide who works for free? Lots of museums have volunteers! He'd clearly be a great one lol.
  24. I tend to not rewatch Chibnall's seasons (minus a few episodes), so if it was on before I've forgotten, but what is this Division Thirteen is looking for? Has it been mentioned before? I have to admit, I found it boring at first. I wasn't impressed with Dan. I did like Claire and Vinder tho. I felt like the episode got interesting about midway through. It also feels like it might tie into the Timeless Child (no spoilers, just theory) with Swarm.
  25. Thanks so much for all the news posts, DanaK!! Much appreciated :-)
