I was actually wondering that too. They've always been tight, so it could just be the partner/platonic soulmates dynamic. But with shows, you never know if its that or implying something romantic... And regarding the idiocy of them running in with no protective gear...This show does still love making their agents look incompetent, sigh.

I don't think it was ever a surprise. I can't remember exactly for Tennant but Matt, Peter, and Jodie were all announced before they aired. I am so hoping they cast someone good. I really miss being excited about Who. Haven't felt like that since Jodie and Chris took over.

Word. I just think its lazy writers to act as if happy couples can't be written in an entertaining way. It can be done and for me it's a lot more entertaining than perpetual angst and third parties who we know mean nothing in the end, so why even invest in them? Get Magnum and Higgins together and write them being a team professionally and personally and solving crimes with the family. I'd much rather that than angst. I like them all as one big family, solving crimes and supporting each other. Angst can be saved for the cases!

Wow. I really enjoyed that!! Way more than I thought I would. It engaged me fast and kept me engaged to the end. Oscar Issac was awesome. He did a great job as Steven and then at the end being a totally different character as Marc. I loved him. He works with a bunch of azzes tho! Oy. I really liked the voice in his head too. Whomever did that did a good job. I'm not a huge fan of Ethan Hawke but his weirdness works so far. I'm looking forward to more! Oh, and I totally think his "mom" is fake!

Right?? The fact that they're acting like he's a savior coming in to save the team and that the other team members were somehow NOT heroes is just frustrating and a good way to make people dislike this guy before he even shows up!!

I'm sorry but those photos Dylan shared and the photo above are ridiculous and so dripping with arrogance! Ugh! They are basically promoting everything I feared with his casting. Blag.

The storyline with the traitor mom really turned me off and I've skipped the last few episodes. Was this past episode the one that was supposed to highlight Jaeger more? I do like her and I will tune in for an episode featuring her more!

I am sooooo glad I read this thread before I watched the episode. Not even going to watch. I wasn't a huge fan of Jess and Julian but just killing him off just ticks me off. Should have known when they were building him up as being happy and moving on. But I really call foul when shows kill off characters cause an actors is moving on. Honestly, I'd rather they had killed Kenny and let Jess move on alive. This just feels manipulative. Between killing him off and bringing on Dylan McDermott (I am not a fan) I'm seriously considering giving this one up. Which stinks cause it was my favorite and the best IMO of the FBI shows.

Jess and Hana both seemed suspicious when the DEA guy was talking about the baby the "wife" had with the bad guy. How did he even know about the kid? And then when Jess saw the guy didn't shoot the bad guy, it just sealed it for him. It was a good episode until the end. It kind of went kapoot for me when they had Kristen so easily get captured by the bad guy. That was so stupid. I don't want to watch it again because it was such a dark and heavy episode with all the murders and rapes :-/ But I never heard what happened to the little girl either! It was like the writer totally forgot about her existance! And did anyone else feel like they were saying the security guard and the cartel guy had a sexual relationship? I think it made the cartel guy want to "assert" his sexuality by raping that poor woman before he murdered her. (EDITED: oops, I missed Threebluestars post! I guess someone else DID think the same thing!! LOL) Ugh, such a dark and heavy episode. Hopefully Ortiz had fun at his brother's wedding! LOL. And as someone who lives in an area that has like 4-5 months of 90+ weather, I was like "you can have my 80 degree weather as long as I get 60s!" LOL.

I don't watch "The Expanse" and I'm not being snarky but what does her appearance on another show have to do with me not wanting to see more melodrama stories about the character's personal lives? It doesn't matter who they cast, this storyline - to me - is annoying and unnecessary. I'm on the cusp of giving this show up. I really just like the German go between lady and the dog. And now the dog is (?) gone LOL!

No, I don't think episode 6 is out yet. I was just surprised to see an episode 5 up, since last time I has looked I had only seen 4 episodes listed. It was a happy surprise for me! Their other seasons were only 4!

Hey, we get 6 episodes this season!! Woot woot!! Out of all the teams, I like this one the best. Aidan, Jac, Mark, Kenny. The only one I miss is Helen. I liked her.

Me too. She was actually the character I like the most. And it was nice to see an older woman in the business and being mentor to a younger woman. We have so many examples of those in male/male relationships, it was nice to see a female/female one. And then they make her bad :-/ Honestly really ticked me off and is kind of turning me off the show. There was just no reason to make the lone older female spy character bad.

The woods thing I think was the announcement commercial they did for her. You saw the Doctor walking in a hood and then she pulled it down to reveal Jodie. Twelve regenerated into Thirteen on the TARDIS. He did that beautiful speech and then transformed and the TARDIS went nuts and dropped her out. Thank you for the rumors, DanaK!!! I would LOVE to see those Docs come back for a cameo!!! Tom Baker's return still makes me tear up!!

Mark Gatiss was a Nazi flashback character, as far as I remember. I wonder who he could possibly be in the sequel??

I agree. There's a fine line in the writing and this show isn't towing it. It's not funny, it's just annoying and frustrating. It's certainly not "Better Off Ted," which was able to find that line and make it funny. It's too bad, the actors aren't bad but the writing isn't working for them.
