  1. I agree with your thoughts, but the story isn't over yet. Hopefully the Big 3's meddling into Nicky's life will result in wonderful things happening. I don't want Nicky dead, suicide or otherwise. But everything else you said, yes. :)
  2. Nicky's time in Nam was spent being stoned out of his mind all the time. As he told the Big Three, he was a medic and sampled his own wares. I believe Nicky was stoned when he went out on the boat with the little boy. Being high on drugs takes away your better judgment, for one thing. Had he been a stone cold sober man he might have thought twice about playing with hand grenades with a kid in the boat with him.
  3. Thanks for sharing the vid! They need to get Carisi and Amy together STAT!
  4. ^ I'm waiting to see what transpires in Part 2 to come to any final opinions. One thing I wonder though: Since Jack knew Nicky had his address, didn't he live in fear that Nick might show up on his doorstep someday (after the first postcard or the first one that came to the house)? Did Jack explicitly tell him he had told his wife and children that he was dead, so don't come around ever?
  5. I agree with this, but Jack ends up being an alcoholic.
  6. I found online that the Illinois rate of contingency fees is usually 33% but that there is a cap of 20% on work-related injuries. But yeah, selfish to try to get money out of Dan's injury.
  7. Angelica Hale: Thank you for having the guts to say this. I concur! Roller Skates in the Attic: LOL! Simon: Agree. First he dissed those who declined the invitations by saying they were too afraid to fail, then he buzzes an act for no good reason other than a personal preference. Why invite him at all then, Simon? Terry Crews: I would like him back!
  8. The beard thing creeps me out, especially when Emily ends up clutching some of the hairs after their beard twirl stunt. Everyone has their own preferences. Everything you said about operatic singers I can say about diva solo singing. I agree with everything else you said! Simon sure was in his previously well-known meanie mood this episode!
  9. I believe this is the only way next of kin are notified by the military, in person, and unannounced. A letter may follow but notification is always done in person. Some twins have a connection, like ESP, and can feel what the other one is feeling or thinking.
  10. I hadn't thought of this angle. I don't think Jack and Nicky would have hatched a plan to pretend Nicky is dead for the sole purpose to keep the abusive father at bay, but it would have been an unintended consequence of any reason Nicky was out of the family, dead or alive.
  11. Did I say how much I hate Angelica Hale? Sitting through her season was bad enough, but she just had to come back. She's in it for the win, you know. Gag. She did not deliver a flawless performance. On one of the end notes, she screwed up at the end (I don't know what to call it) but it seemed flat and dry. Her personality is obnoxious to me, JMHO. Her shouting Thank You immediately after her song (to which I could not make out of words) was just too much.
  12. Howie is such a knucklehead for giving Angelica Hale the Golden Buzzer. Not only did he waste the GB on her, but of all the acts tonight, I didn't like her at all. Granted, the South African 6-year-old shouldn't have been on the show either. He was like the filler act. I hope this is not a predetermined plan to get Hale to the top. If I say what I really think about her, I would be accused of hating children in general too, but that's not the case. This is the first performance I've seen of Prince Poppycock and I loved him. I was impressed with the intro with all the different costumes, hair and makeup styles. I would pay money to see Prince Poppycock and Piff the Magic Dragon with Mr. Piffles. Someone else should have been up there with Paul Potts rather than the England skating duo, but at least he won.
  13. The niece would be perfect for Carisi! She's pretty, smart and kind. They would make a nice couple.
  14. Right. The only intimidating thing he's done in public is jump up and down on Oprah's couch. He'd have to sneak up on someone or attack them in their sleep to be effective. Or use a weapon.
  15. If $cientology has foreign nationals hidden away or staffing facilities, they are not likely to be on the radar as to where they might be located.
  16. I doubt very seriously that with all ICE has to deal with these days, ICE would be pounding on doors. A few at the most Scientologists are the least of their worries. Also, how do we know there are foreigners among those held in The Hole or anywhere else?
  17. But, they were not forced to surrender their passports. They gave them voluntarily to the Passport Monitor to be put into the Super Special Safe for safekeeping. There's probably their signature on one of the contracts they voluntarily signed that says so. ;)
  18. I thought the exact thing too! Well rehearsed and brainwashed!
  19. Well, Leah is an actress. :D However, I don't think Leah is being disingenuous. There are so many levels and classes of Scientologists (or should I call them parishioners (ha ha)) such as the regular members, Sea Org, and those in special occupations of the "church" such as the registrars. Not everyone is going to know everything about this "religion" because you only get to know what you know depending on how many courses you take and how high up the ladder you go. We have also learned from this series that although some members dislike David Miss Cabbage, they are waiting for LRH to come back to earth.
  20. That is the question. I was thinking they do live in Calif. but I get confused with all the shuffling around the country and the time warp travel! I'm sure someone still lives in California and thought that was Kate and Toby. The Golden Girls' Rose's property issues weren't of the community property variety, but Florida is not a community property state.
  21. What survived The Big House Fire has been up for debate and discussion since the beginning. Some of us have fanwanked that some of the surviving possessions were at the cabin, and not inside the house when it burned down. Other people have opined that just by sheer luck, depending on the location in the house, the fire could have not touched or destroyed something that has popped up since the fire.
  22. I agree with Ben being a control freak. He has a little challenge on his hands (Darlene's personality and her parenting style) and he wants to control and change it. I agreed with his piano lessons rules, but other than that, I'm questioning some red flag moments too.
