  1. So the message I got was that we must always believe the woman because no woman would ever go through a rape trial if she didn't have to, so all accusers are real victims. Logic by Olivia Benson. The only forensic evidence they got out of this case was that the accuser's husband is indeed the biological father of their daughter. No charges will be pressed against looney Gary because Stone is such a fine man? What about all those people in the bar who had to evacuate? Brandishing a weapon in public? Anything?
  2. Thank God for threesomes! There's someone else to blame it on. But seriously, this was a she said/he said/he was also there so anything could have happened case. Everyone was drunk out of their minds, blacking out, and then they KNOW what happened the next day, because while being in an alcoholic blackout, nothing could go wrong, right?
  3. I enjoyed this episode and LOL'd a lot at the pivotal lines mentioned above. Although I'm not a pink hat wearer as Jackie is (last season's (Roseanne) pink hat, not this episode's church hat) , the mall scene just proved to me how much the furor has gotten out of hand. I hope they're done with politics. I agree that this had to be a switcheroo episode that would have aired after The Conners premiere, but ABC thought better of too much politics and wanted Johnny Galecki in right away for the viewership grab. Dan's grief seemed real and was well acted. I'm enjoying Becky a lot. Geena is bossy and judgmental and not a warm character. I don't feel any chemistry between her and DJ. Mary is cute, but the whole DJ, Geena and Mary part of the family isn't that interesting to me. I loved the end scene with "Working In The Coal Mine".
  4. Why do they have to put this "Peter in Peril" storyline on our TV screens? We know that Stone isn't a rapist, just a randy guy who is supposedly having threesomes and hitting on young hot honeys because he's grieving over the death of his sister. FWIW, Philip Winchester may have a nice body, but his face doesn't fit the way they've written the character. It seems uncharacteristic of his persona, and being Ben Stone's son, at least to me anyway. I think there will be more PC preaching or SJW-ing from The World According To Benson in the episode. That can only explain why they're going this route.
  5. If Becky has a baby, this could help her get out of the doldrums since Mark's death, and give her something other than herself to care for and live for. Of course she won't forget Mark and her loss will always be with her, but another human being she loves and cares for might be a wonderful thing. I know her life won't be all sunshine and roses, but it doesn't have to be a storm of doom and gloom either. It's not like she's all alone with no emotional support. So, who's going to throw the wedding for Becky and Busboy? ;)
  6. Pun intended? LOL. Plus, the actors were already paid for the upcoming season.
  7. Tommy died in the mine; Sabrina conjured up his body without his soul, so Harvey shooting Zombie Tommy didn't cause him any pain, so at least there's that. I agree with everyone who's said that Sabrina got too big for her britches and am glad her free ride is over. I guess that's what I don't like in Sabrina's personality (which I said in a previous thread). Her cockiness and know-it-all attitude really grated on me. I loved Hilda in this episode! Calling Sabrina out and putting in her place was great.
  8. As soon as Father Blackwood started his pitch about Lady B's cutting him off and the Dark Lord's wishes and thoughts on the matter, I knew what was going to happen. Zelda! I'm not really going to enjoy whatever affair they have and I'm sorry that Zelda is probably going to pay the price. I enjoy Zelda's speaking mannerisms and watching her on my screen though. It was really weird seeing Sabrina do the deed, even though she had that backup plan in mind. Now that the universe is out of balance with Sabrina's meddling, what is going to happen?
  9. They renamed this episode "Feast of Feasts" on Netflix. It aired in same month as American Thanksgiving though. How much more darker can this show get? Human sacrifice and cannibalism actually shown "in the flesh" with that gory scene in the end? Yum yum. This episode held my interest more than some of the previous ones, but from what we've seen so far, Sabrina thinks her father's high priest days were what she would like to follow, and she's not sold on Father Blackwood's reign. ruby24's post above resonates with me. I'm not so sure I even like Sabrina's personality.
  10. Harvey is a dumbass and has got to be the most boring, uninteresting character in the whole show. Not that I condone 16-year-olds having sex outside of marriage, but the pristine kisses and no-chemistry vibes I get from Sabrina and Harvey are like the 50s.
  11. I'm not unhappy about it either. This could be the motivation to her wake-up call about her existing problems and a way to stop self-destructing. The other alternatives were either boring, unfortunate or adding more complications to an already "it's complicated" relationship. Also this gives a certain character no additional ties to the Conners family at this time.
  12. Well, I'm glad it doesn't look like an abortion storyline. Is a baby daddy going to be involved? I also hope we don't have a message about how late-in-life, over 35-40 pregnancies are dangerous (which they are considered high risk) and that the baby is lost. I'm not a fan of abortion or miscarriage storylines, especially in comedies. Looks like Aunt Jackie will have more to do in a few months!
  13. I was hoping that was just a salad and an entree was going to be served. Saint Mommy Olivia serves her child each course separately, such as in a fine restaurant, instead of family-style, with everything on the table at once. I'm hoping, anyway. We are getting it Show, Noah's turned into a brat. What I don't get is why Olivia doesn't know how to react to her child's outbursts and doesn't discipline him in any way.
  14. I took the similarities of the Brooklyn victims to be that the restaurant owner had a type. Each woman had short-ish, dark brown hair. I think they all had brown eyes too, not completely sure on that, but they did have a similar look about them. We learned that Carisi had a date at a very expensive restaurant costing him $200 and that it was worth every penny! ;) Not just the food, apparently. When Noah gets bratty, Olivia acts like she doesn't know what to do or say. I too think they're pushing another Benoah dramarama on us with Noah getting out of control in some fashion. Ugh.
  15. The show should just rename itself: Saint Olivia Benson Presents...Lovers & Others: So Very Unreal. An elite squad of crime fighters meet legal geniuses of the NYC bar in a parallel universe where the District Attorney's Office takes orders from Super Mommy Lieutenant Benson and the Squad's Commanding Officer gives up her desk duties to fight crime on the street.
  16. Yep, it's gonna be one of his menage a trois sessions goes wrong. Maybe Peter will have stepped up his game and went for a full-on orgy, and things go south. I can't wait to see who the complaining "witness" SVU Victim is going to be. Hope she's really cute, unless Stone had a Roman Orgy Partay and one of the male participants objected to the goings on. This oughta be a hoot, just for the trainwreck entertainment value. Not that this storyline is going to add anything integrity- or quality-wise to L&O:SVU. Let's hope Ice-T gets to make another comedy gold snark. It might be worth the price of admission. ;)
  17. I wouldn't know as I haven't watched those shows and I'm not comparing The Conners to any other sitcoms. Since The Conners is supposed to be a sitcom, I, like JacquelineAppleton, don't see a good future in an abortion story line.
  18. Last things first: The term is hanged not hung. Hey Mariska, remember when your teachers used to say, "Pictures are hung, people are hanged"? Mrs. Mill hanged herself in her jail cell. This case didn't really fall into the purview of SVU; it was a family homicide with no sexual aspects to it. Nevertheless, Benson acting like this was her first time at the rodeo was ridic. Never in the history of her 20-year career did she ever see a mother kill her children? I guess back then it was NBD cuz Saint Olivia hadn't adopted Noah yet, not during the Stabler years for sure. Enough of the Super Mommies Bonding Scenes. Thanks for reminding us that Rollins is knocked up with the belly cradling. The trial definitely needed Dr. Abernathy on the stand testifying about the insanity of the defendant, not Just A Cop Benson doing the honors. Ice-T was right on as always: A black cop not buying the poor beleaguered brown man syndrome angle. Fin and Carisi make a good team and are way more watchable than Saint O & Her Apostle Amanda. I would have enjoyed an SVUverse defense attorney as the lawyer for Mrs. Mill, and that CJ cross-over was lost on me.
  19. If Harris is pregnant, despite the MAP, assuming Darlene did take her to the pharmacy, the show could have her give birth to the baby then give him or her up for adoption.
  20. I remember learning that as well. Thanks for reminding me and expanding on it. Most people think warlocks are male witches, good, bad or indifferent. Nice to know you're human. :)
  21. Which are sorely missed! Ice-T is our resident quipper now, but Lenny's one-liners were pure gold!
  22. The medications Toby was on seemed to be working well, and Kate was unaware of his childhood struggles or if he told her, she hadn't seen Toby in a depressive state since she met him. Toby only went off the rails when he flushed his meds down the toilet.
  23. That's not how it works. People who suffer from depression don't conjure up bad thoughts; it is a chemical imbalance in the brain that is uncontrollable more or less. There are therapies you can do to improve your chances of not going into a depression, and to help your medications work well, such as being aware of your exercise and environmental stressors. Not all depression is an anxiety attack. Panic attacks are a different thing. People who use antidepressants are not using them as a crutch. The struggle is real, as they say.
  24. I'm still enjoying this so far, but this was the draggiest episode. I'm done with Prudence and her two sidekicks who are The Mean Witches. Harvey is so boring and I don't feel any chemistry between sweet 16 Sabrina and him. Wow, Zelda is a witch with a capital B! I like Hilda better personality-wise. I love seeing Salem, even if he doesn't talk like he did in the Melissa Joan Hart series Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.
  25. OK, you got me. I haven't watched that show but have certainly heard about it! :D
