  1. This was an odd episode. I liked that the finished up the Jerry/Counterfeiter storyline but the murders were a bit too strange. Probably because it was an over-the-top reaction to bullying unless one is mentally ill in some way and they didn't fill in a lot of blanks to help with the motivation. As to the Australian accent, my impression was that the family moved to Hawaii from Australia then went back to visit relatives in the summer. Mirrah Foulkes is Australian and for me, she's still "Jo", the paramedic in the Aussie series, "All Saints." I do like her better than the Katherine character so I hope she stays. It would be interesting to see how they play the switch in McGarrett love interests. Weakest episode so far this season.
  2. Exactly what I was thinking at the time. It would have been perfect for Rayna to tell her stupid fiancé to quit punishing Deacon and release him from the tour so Maddie would have two adults (assuming Teddy is an adult) seeing to her well-being. But then logical is never where these shows go. Can't imagine why. This is standard procedure for most people in the entertainment business and has been for years. Even conservative fans are used to it. Took me into the third season but I am officially over Rayna. She's coming off like a self-centered, petulant diva these days and it's not fun to watch. As many have said before me, Deacon is too good for her. Looking forward to seeing the blow-up with Luke because I still don't think he's what he seems. I'm willing to not overthink the Scarlett/Homeless Guy storyline and just see where it goes. Teddy is an idiot. Which is sad because I've always been a fan of Eric Close. In conclusion, I am REALLY over Will and Layla. Really.
  3. Can't happen due to the Sprint Cup schedule. Junior races every race, February through November and Waltrip races only a couple of restrictor plate races. Besides, I don't think Junior would do it. I expect Michael will go in the next couple of weeks. Hope so, anyway.
  4. Probably alone out here but I loved, "You've Got a Friend". The song is so James Taylor and JDC made it very fresh and interesting. Personally, I'm far more moved by a good song done well than by someone who screams at me through half the song. MMV Luke's "Rich Girl" was good but I preferred Cole Vosbury's last season. But then I preferred Cole so no surprise. Swift was a good mentor. Thank you, Pharrell, for inflicting us with Sugar on the live shows. She's going to be the gum on the bottom of the shoe this season.
  5. Sorry all. I'm a NASCAR fan but I am NOT voting for Michael. Frankly, I wouldn't vote for him for anything because he's always been a mouthy, un-funny sort of famewhore who never saw a camera he didn't try to hog. It's the truth, no matter how humble and "Ah shucks" he tries to be on the show. Unfortunately, a lot of NASCAR fans are voting for the Waltrip name and it didn't help that in the clip they showed at Talledega, he hauled out Dale "The Most Popular Driver in the History of Ever" Earnhardt, Jr., to goose up the votes. If Junior Nation is strongly behind him, look out. (Yes, folks, there is a Junior Nation.) The surety of the Derek team win is getting boring. Yeah, I get how they won but I was far more entertained by Team Creepy. Completely, 100% agree with Len about all the mucking about, extra dancers, props and nonsense. Just put on a costume and dance so the judges can judge the dance and not get all distracted by the smoke and mirrors. Does someone know if "Strictly" does this or is it still about the pure dance?
  6. Ok, so all I could think about was the fact that Casey didn't wash his hands after peeing. I know it was a fire and all and maybe they have germ juice or moist towelettes in the truck, but still?! (I'm Seinfeldian that way.) And, yeah, I'm pretty sure NotShay's ex set up the tossing of her place. Please, show, can we get this storyline over soon because I'm not invested enough in these characters to care. Add me to the list of those who do not like that this show is now All About Gabby. I don't care for her character and don't think she and Jesse Spencer have an crumb of chemistry and I hate that he is showing her favoritism. Hermann was right and the Chief was wrong. Not good.
  7. They can't show all the battles because they insist on filling the show with background/sob stories and endless reintroducing us to contestants we saw just a couple of weeks ago. I don't care about their stories and it's stupid to show so little of the actual, you know, singing. Hated what Ricky and Brittany did to "On Broadway." Hated it. That being said, I did think Ricky should get the nod so glad he did. Brittany needs to learn how to be a gracious loser. That made me uncomfortable. Kensington and Reagan - both mushy-mouthed singers. I wouldn't know if Reagan forgot words because I couldn't understand most of them anyway. But I want her jacket.
  8. Really?? Vince Gill and Gary LeVox for starters. For me, that would be Kat nightmares.
  9. Shut up, Mr. Dentist. I get it. Please...any team win besides this team. Anyone. Sheep = great show.
  10. Charketa is probably my favorite designer this season - as a human being - but I don't think she's that great a designer and probably should not be part of Fashion Week. However, if it gets up Korina's nose, I'm all for it. I will never, ever understand some of the judging this season. It was almost like this whole season was a joke on the viewer. I don't get Sean at all and that white thing was odd. Like someone up-thread, my first thought was "space age nurse". Odd shape, impractical and something that would look good on...almost no one. And yet the judges are stunned. Ok. There have been some really sad seasons of PR (looking at Gretchan's win), but this one took the cake. Compare the finished designs to the first few seasons of PR (the Bravo years) and it's as plain as day. I hope for an Amanda win (in spite of the wretched sack the judges gushed over), but expect that it will be between Sean and Kini with Kini winning. He, at least, sews well.
  11. I guess mileage does vary because I find him to be a good actor. He was excellent in the Hornblower series and absolute perfection as William Wilberforce in "Amazing Grace." Besides, I just love him so I'm in for this series whether I like it or not. Which I do. So far.
  12. Oh, me too, on both counts. First thought I had was, "Kris Allen," whom I admittedly and unashamedly loved. Anyhow, his audition is the first one I reversed and listened to again. I want to hear more from him. He started out very off-key and swerved in and out of the right key for most of the song. I wasn't watching the woman who sang "Danny's Song" but listened to it and thought she was off too. They both have good tone so maybe it was a nerve problem. Guess we'll find out in the battle rounds.
  13. So even the "nationals" are fake. Oy.
  14. The thing about Christi bitching and whining is that it's all part of the storyline. Christi is done with ALDC, Chloe is done with ALDC and they are just playing out the contract, doing what they are told to do and saying what they are told to say. I have absolutely no doubt that Chloe is instructed by the director, "Time for the sad face", and Christi is told, "Time to scream about how Chloe is treated." I believe they are both happy with their lives and will be even happier when they are done with this train wreck of a show. I'm tired of watching it and if they decide to continue to beat the dead horse that is "Dance Moms", I won't be watching. The only reason to tune in next time would be Nia but frankly, it's just not worth it.
  15. What's the deal with Julianne's hair? Seriously, I can't get past it to comment on the dances.
  16. Well, I'm a NASCAR fan and I can't stand him. Loud, annoying, obnoxious famewhore. I think there might be a lot of fans who feel the same way. Hope he's first out.
  17. Waltrip is nowhere near a NASCAR Superstar, except in his own mind. He has the advantage of the same last name as his much more Superstar-ish brother Darrell and he's won a couple of restrictor plate races. In any other kind of race he basically stinks. His ownership has been largely marred by cheating scandals. I've visited Michael Waltrip Racing in No. Carolina and it's basically a poor man's "Disneyland" for racing. What he IS is an annoying famewhore who will mouth off until you want to slap him silly. And I'm a NASCAR fan.
  18. Glad to hear Tristan will be on Strictly. I usually don't work too hard to watch it here in the US because I rarely know who the celebs are but will definitely watch when Tristan is on. DWTS was stupid to let him go but then again maybe he just got sick of being assigned the old ladies.
  19. Oh for pete's sake, I have no sympathy whatsoever for any of these dunderheads. They go on a freaking reality show that's been on for years. They know what's expected of them and the guys who sign up for the 'ette, know that there is a high probability of rejection but a good chance they'll get some sweet lovin' along the way. So they all need to get over themselves and climb down off their high horses. That Andi chose to have sex with her #2 guy knowing full well that she was "in love" with the other one doesn't speak well for her character. They have to play out the whole fantasy suite fiasco and if their choices come back to bite them - cry me a river. Interesting that ABC and TPTB let old Nick hijack the "After The Final Rose" show. Just goes to show how much of a joke this whole thing is. And yet I watch because it's good for laughs. When Andi and Josh were going on and on about who loved who more, I was disappointed that they didn't call each other "schmoopy".
  20. Didn't get this at all. Yes, Sandaya seems a lovely person but that dress was hideous. Badly constructed, ugly, unwearable and anything but the endlessly repeated "fashion forward". But from the deliberations it seemed as though Heidi wanted her to win. After this show raving about and rewarding that high-waisted look and forgiving countless iterations of the booty short, they auf Jefferson? Really? It wasn't great but was clearly superior to that piece of crap Mitchell trotted down the runway. But from the deliberations it seemed as though Heidi wanted Jefferson to go. A trend? Like others, I don't know what the judges want and I apparently don't have a clue about what looks good.
  21. Josh's father is Catholic and his mother is Jewish.
  22. Best part of that episode? Hands down, the fought/fart montage at the end. Hilarious. So Dylan doesn't wash his hands after going to the bathroom. Dead to me.
  23. Can't say I enjoyed the show all that much. I did like both of Jess's songs and I don't see the disconnect others see. I far prefer her to Jena and her word-swallowing affectation. Also loved Alex's "Always On My Mind" and Sam's first song. CJ should probably be the one going home. I fear the bus might catch up with Jessica and she'll go home. But I hope it will be either Caleb or Jena so I can watch Lopez's head explode.
  24. Just catching up on this series. Have to admit I'm on Team Blake. I think it's my undying devotion to all things Julian Ovenden - I even loved him as Andrew Foyle. But I don't think he'll be Lady Mary's final choice as Tony seems ahead of the pack. Question. Uncle Harold? Was that the guy who played John Adams? Paul SomethingOrOther.
