  1. If X is a Secret Service agent, he has to have good vision without contacts. so his vision deficiency to not allow him to be a commercial pilot must be something else, like the color issue. I don't think the VP grew a spine so much as he's still a bit scared about being in charge and he's just yelling out. Jane is clearly a psychopath. I think Sinatra probably didn't have Gabby give psych exams to her or Billy (her chosen assassins) because she didn't want anyone to know that they were her 'secret cards to play.' i bet Jane is wishing she had Gabby did the psych exams now. X ran off after Jane shot Sinatra because he cares more about his daughter than Sinatra. he still believes Jane is a trustworthy (if maybe not a completely competent) SS agent, Presley was safe in her care and that Sinatra was just fucking with him. What will happen with the waitress? She really didn't do anything really wrong. will they let her keep doing what she's doing? i mean, what's the point of putting her 'in jail?' or will they push her out the door? It is a real shame that Trent killed the wrong Bradford, but i can see that in his mind, Cal was probably just like his dad. someone mentioned above about the scientist guy just letting Trent go and not arranging for some 'accident.' i'm sure no one thought Trent was going to do anything and would just let it go. even if Trent believed more was going on and being built in the mountain, he didn't know about the imminent natural disaster, and likely no one "reliable" would believe him (as is shown in the note of all the 'mainstream' news media sources with lines crossed through them). certainly quite the coincidence that Trent got sent to prison in colorado. and then found the librarian that looked enough like him. i'm sure he thought, yeah, i could bullshit enough to be a librarian. what if he found say a calculus teacher? or a chef? I do think that Cal may have hoped X listened to the start of the DVD mix tape and realized he had to go to the library for the book. Its been 3 years, is X so sure that Teri is still in Atlanta? I'm not sure the recording made that clear, but i guess its a starting point. Did they show X making any preparations for the trip? And just going alone? I'm not sure that's really the best thing. but i guess he doesn't have anyone he could really trust to go with him.
  2. I don’t understand why Tim’s office keeps telling him (and Saxon) that they are looking for him. He told them he was going on vacation to Thailand didn’t he? Greg was smart to change his name, but Belinda doesn’t quite seem to buy it. Will Tim get addicted to the pills now?
  3. I think it’s bull that if the server gets shafted on a tip they still have to pay bussers or dishwashers. Frankly everyone should be paid a real wage and get rid of that sub wage.
  4. That is absolutely the truth.
  5. When you have people believing the lies told by Trump, like news story of the recently fired park ranger who thought Trump would make IVF free, I don’t think the left want someone like that. They don’t want someone who lies to the public to get votes. Yes they want someone that speaks the to the people. If not AOC, maybe Waltz or Pritzker.
  6. Bill is wrong about Fetterman. He may have been a left’s voice until he sided with the gop on several votes. I don’t think many on the left trust him anymore. AOC is a better choice, but of course, she’s a woman.
  7. I noted that Sinatra knew exactly where X was hiding his kids. And when Presley shows up again and says she was with Jane, X still won’t realize that Jane is working for Sinatra. He will just think Sinatra found out where she was.
  8. I will laugh so hard if Brittany inadvertently votes out Danielle. B and D had to switch to Ivar when they heard Gabby was coming for D hard and Dolores wouldn’t agree absolutely to vote for Gabby and both Ivar and Dylan were considering voting for Danielle as well. Once Dolores confirmed she was voting Ivar they had to flip to him too and hope Dylan voted for Gabby for a 3-2-1 vote.
  9. reading the books was always a bit cathartic fantasy because Reacher is always in the right, the bad guys always loose and deserve it. Reacher did take care of Angel in a cleaner way, but he's lucky no one showed up earlier and find the body first. I wonder if Neagley is going to show up and how she'll do so. I feel for the young FBI agent. reading surveyor's maps is hard.
  10. loved the Bavarian arm wrestling. I thought Reacher was a bit sloppy in hiding Angel.
  11. Did Beck have no one of his own before McCabe showed up? Heck that should be his reason enough to trust Reacher.
  12. Well we all know eventually there’s going to be a fight of the two big guys.
  13. i too think he said this was the last time they could recruit. but who knows what other means could be used.

    Conclave (2024)

Honestly, in this day and age, i was a bit surprised that the cardinals would vote for such an unknown, at least not until after a lot more voting and more and move votes that went in that direction. but i guess once Adeyemi was out, then Tremblay, and you had Lawrence telling his people that he really didn't want it and did not think Bellini was strong enough, the only other person getting any votes that wasn't Tedesco was Benitez (who certainly showed fortitude being a cardinal in Kabul) and for those that didn't want Tedesco, an unknown was better than that.
  15. I think whoever killed the president argued with him and killed him during the argument while he was reading the tablet, and put it in a pocket (jacket or pants) and then jumped off the balcony into the bushes and the tablet fell out. that's how Presley found it. I would not be surprised if it was the father who got into a big argument with Cal over stuff Cal read on the tablet and then the father has now either forgotten in his dementia, or he feels guilty over it and/or maybe is only partially remembering stuff. it would be my guess that the father/grandfather would eventually do whatever he can to help Jeremy, but Sinatra will eventually then kill the father/grandfather the only other alternative is that Sinatra is playing word games by saying "she" did not kill Cal, but she ordered someone else to kill him, or perhaps she said to his father that Cal needed to be "handled" and the father then argued with him (see above). If there is some third party involved that we haven't seen yet, that would be quite incredible. I do wonder if Sinatra had set up a second location with scientists working on how to 'reboot' or fix the world after the damage was done and that's where Xavier's wife is. she may not have originally been intended to be part of that second location, but ended up there because she was in Atlanta and couldn't get to Colorado. I expect that Sinatra will not yet burn Jane's identity to X. She will use the wife card. Sinatra knows she has the Jane/Pressley card to use if necessary, but will only use it if she has to. in the meantime, if X learns Pressley is not with James, he will learn she is with Jane, but he thinks Jane is safe, so will not be worried. I think he won't learn Jane is dangerous until much later.
  16. Cal was a Senator when they met at the Summit. Sinatra clearly bankrolled most of Paradise, though likely got contributions from other billionaires that got seats inside too. Billy definitely used the other agent as a cover and was part of the murder set up but she doesn’t know about that. She probably was relieved of duty and went home.
  17. She probably had to dress modestly if she wanted entrance to the temple, i.e. with shoulders and thighs (maybe even knees) covered. it is that way in a lot of cultures.
  18. I could give the dems the benefit of the doubt that they are having difficulties getting on media programs to talk about these problems because the media doesn't want to publicize them for fear of retribution from the administration (See AP News, etc). However, there are plenty of media programs that don't care that much and would put them on. So yeah, i do wonder why we don't hear more from the dems.
  19. I would be very surprised if Belinda knew anything about Greg's plotting to have Tanya killed. I expect they will 'run into each other' and Belinda will ask about Tanya and find out about her death (if she didn't know before) and be sad (maybe) and ask questions (maybe) and make Greg uncomfortable (maybe). There will be some 'falling out' among the 3 girlfriends. one of the two men will be involved in the shooting i think, either the victim or the shooter. I don't think the older son of the family is after his brother sexually. he thinks he's gods gift to women. he's just a horndog trying to justify his horniness as normal by making sure his brother is just as horny as he is and/or he's compensating because he's an asshole to women. the younger brother could be gay.
  20. that is the subject of a current lawsuit filed by various states and unions. right now the TROs have been denied due to lack of "imminent harm" (apparently losing one's job isn't considered 'imminent harm' because you can get another one and/or be compensated with money later). the judge did say that the authority was questionable, so merit wise looks bad, that a formal decision on that is months or maybe years down the road.
  21. Don’t expect the media to do much at all, at least American media. Maybe some international media will do it
  22. finally got around to watching this. given that Oliver clearly wanted to live in wealth, i was a bit surprised he waited so long for Sir James to die. I suppose Oliver didn't have access to Sir James once he was bought off and simply had to wait, and then he found Elspeth and manipulated her to get back into Saltburn. Oliver sure figured out that Felix was decent enough not to tell Sir James about his lies before the party, which was a big mistake for Felix. but i suppose no one suspects a liar is going to end up being a murderer.
  23. i was glad that the celestial was finally acknowledged in some way. i almost thought Liv Tyler's only "appearance" was going to be that phone call for a while, it nearly was until she finally showed up for a brief scene at the end. yet still got quite high billing. At least Bucky said more than her. The reshoots with Giancarlo were unfortunately pretty obvious. I hope they do right by him the next time he shows up. Harrison Ford almost stole the movie from Anthony Mackie. Did i miss it or did they cut Sam's "you're right" line when Ross said "you're not Steve Rogers"? I swear i didn't hear it.
  24. Well, Los Angeles was fairly urban, though there were parts of that season that were somewhat spread out.

    Dream Scenario

That was definitely different. I guess the nightmares had something to do with his own emotions over the article of the former colleague stealing his idea. The wife was a bitch.
