  1. so the camp is only during the summer? and the demi-gods are 'just fine' the rest of the school year? and where is Percy going to school now? regular public school because now he 'knows' what he is and isn't going to be as affected by mythical beings? and why did Luke have to 'escape' camp? wasn't it going to be over soon? or was it because Percy would find out he didn't tell anyone about Clarissa (because it was him that stole the bolt)? where did Annabeth go after camp in prior years before she decided to return to her dad? will Gabe's statue still be there when Sally gets back? did medusa's head turn to stone too and is now no longer dangerous? I too had initially thought Hades' invisibility helm was a way of referring to Annabeth's cap and was worried.
  2. Ok I remember an animated Greek gods show that I think Disney did when I was a child 50 years or so ago and I swear that is what they showed in the tunnel. It looked very familiar. and can show runners or directors or whoever please stop making the scenes so dark I have to watch only at night and turn out all lights to see what’s going on. Not everyone has a home theater without windows.
  3. lol, mailing Medusa’s heart Mount Olympus which is now the top of the Empire State Building. And carried in by Lin Manuel Miranda.
  4. yeah, i don't see how they were going to convince Percy to go on the quest without telling him about his mom. Not many here, but at least i'll have my daughter to talk too about the show. She read the books too, and says the show is pretty decent.
  5. Sally should have done some explaining (along with Grover) a little earlier.
  6. So i didn't see it as much this episode, but in so many of the prior episodes, Parvati's 'talking head' interview had her dressed in the same white outfit she wore the first day, yet she's clearly talking about events that occurred days later. did they reshoot the first day? or ask some contestants to put on the same outfit from the first day to do some interviews?
  7. i have to agree that none of the current contestants really earned the money like Cirie did. and I will always hold it against Trishelle for orchestrating Peppermint's banishment episode 1 (intentional or not). but she's been a good player otherwise. i don't want Kate to win, so i hope she gets sussed out by Sandra. I agree that if Sandra wins its solely by her usual strategy of going with the majority to the end, but not really contributing more on her own. but at least she has remained in the game. CT has at least been independent and may be the one who's earned it the most. Sheree and MJ floated due to Phaedra. so of the leftovers, i'm rooting for CT.
  8. i guess these scams must continue over quite some time, like several years, or those victims (as opposed to the victims forced to be scammers) already have access to a lot of money. i mean, even if someone is earning $150,000 a year (pre-tax), its going to take some time to have enough disposable money to invest $350,000. This obviously doesn't count for the bank ceo that embezzled from his bank. I can't imagine anyone who doesn't already know that anything crypto is a scam. i've never heard anything legitimate about it. why are the baseball pants so thin? MLB trying to save money? or is there some aerodynamic reason for running/base stealing?
  9. how is an app that has as its primary use committing crimes allowed to be platformed?
  10. At least Stephen understands the difference between Biden and Trump. (Ep 2/12).
  11. Did Bill really say Biden should do like Lyndon Johnson and bow out? Yeah look what happened, we got Nixon. Wasn’t that a great thing for the country? Seriously
  12. if anyone stopped listening to Opening Arguments because of the dispute between Andrew Torres and Thomas Smith, Smith has retaken over the podcast and Torres is out.
  13. back to "both siding" and, 'the country will go on.' yeah, tell that to women in Texas and other states where they no longer have bodily control. Jon is as bad as he was before. the two are not the same, never were.
  14. I have no idea if there is a way to do that for my iPad. I think it’s somehow part of the WiFi router set up he did. I just don’t understand why PP (direct) is the only streaming service that has this issue, even if I pay for no ads.
  15. Paramount Plus is so frustrating. A year or so ago, I was doing a normal monthly subscription with ads, and all of a sudden videos would not play. I finally learned that the ad blocker my husband had installed through our WiFi was interfering with PP’s ads , even though there was no problem for months. Hubby did not want to remove it. Some other streaming services still played ads anyway, but PP would not play videos at all. so I cancelled. a few months later, I resigned up with PP, this time paying extra for the ad free service on PP. everything worked fine. Then 9 months later, videos won’t play again. PP says that even though I pay for ad-free, their software still did not work with ad blocking (even though it did work for 9 months). so I had to cancel again. They offered me 2 free months but what use is that if the videos won’t play. I then found a 2 month $1.99 deal on PP through Amazon Prime, so I signed up and everything plays just fine. I have it for another 6 weeks so binging as much as I can before I cancel again, since I don’t want to pay $13 a month. its a shame, I like a lot of their shows, but for whatever reason their platform won’t work directly with our system. I’ll just do a month through Amazon every 6 months or so(hopefully with another deal) and binge everything.
  16. I still don't get why Katura did not trust Jake. I don't recall seeing any scene where he said he was voting for one person, then changing to vote for another. Sure, he's out for himself, but wouldn't that suggest he'd want to take out a big target like Dee, rather than someone playing so under the radar we barely remember her, Katura, or someone who is the nice mama, but except for endurance type challenges (which the final challenges are definitely not), hasn't even come close to winning, Julie? Jake couldn't take out Austin, so Dee was absolutely the next logical choice. its a shame that Katura didn't think it through. Who knows who would have won that final challenge and who would have gone to fire otherwise. That said, Dee is fine winner. She definitely showed her chops in winning challenges, strategy and social game. Her winning really made we wish they did the older type reunion and winner announcement so she could have shared it with her family on stage.
  17. Thank you! i knew i recognized him, and he didn't really look like Swan (unless his entire face/head changed shape). I think the gun-hitmen were given Swan's name because Langston wants to screw with Reacher's head. I still think Swan is dead (or being held somewhere to take the fall). Was the building going to blow up even if the hitman completed the mission? or was someone always tying up lose ends?
  18. Is it like game shows where (some) people don’t get paid if the show is never aired, so someone saves money?
  19. yeah, i would have expected him to sell higher priced/quality meals at like Wegmans or something.
  20. i watch this show with my daughter, who at least recognizes most of the 'celebrity guests' because i sure don't. i wonder what the guest judge would have priced the rib-eye but for Gordon telling her what the red team needed to win. i think $40 for a rib-eye is on the cheap side (at a restaurant like HK).
  21. I like how they have incorporated more of Reacher's crew from the army. Most of the books are Reacher solo, making an ally or two from where-ever he happens to be. i wonder if they will try to use this group more in subsequent seasons even if they were not originally in a particular book
  22. i agree with others that the casting change, mostly for harry, really took me out of the show. the show runners needed to keep the same cast from the prior episode. either both from this one, or both from the last one. having harry age up 3-4 years in 3-4 months was ridiculous. it was slightly less noticeable for Wills, but even he aged up a couple of years in a couple of months. that said, i do see how the showrunners are definitely making this season very "crown friendly" portraying Liz, Charles, Camilla, all very sympathetically. its almost veering into propaganda, particularly the Diana/Dodi/MouMou episodes.
