  1. This is where I'm mostly at. I genuinely really like GH overall. I think the show is mostly firing on all cylinders. The storyline, acting, writing is good. Except for Sonny and Carly. I differ in that I actually like Jason (I know, I know -- the whole saintly hitman thing is UTTERLY ridiculous, but dangit, I do think that Steve Burton is a good actor and has chemistry with several actors). Replace Michael -- who I do think is a psychopath with frankly no redeeming value -- for Jason and I'm there. Joss is quickly beginning to enter that territory for me too. The Corinthii (and ironically neither Michael or Joss are Corinthii, but let's be real.... they are, they both are) are just so horrifically awful. AND THEY CAN NEVER LOSE. Even when they are so clearly egregiously wrong. I hate them all so much.

    S01.E03: Superhero

I know it's only three episodes but I'm really loving thus show. All the characters feel so real and fleshed out. The relationships are good and varied. We've got friends, love stories of different ages, siblings, work colleagues. It's just really good. The only story I'm meh on is Iggy and her guy. And the only character I don't like is Grady, but I can see where he's coming from. Overall, yeah, though, I'm just loving thus one.
  3. I think Steve is in Texas. Yeah, we've got Matt and Steve still in prison for their crimes, but fricking Sonny and Jason (OK, technically he's in prison but that won't last and he's innocent this time) walking around. It's so ridiculous.
  4. I want Nelle to come back for a variety of reasons. One of those is that with Nina's resources, and thus good lawyering they can use all the drugs in her system during Nina's pregnancy to explain a psychosis that was never diagnosed, so no therapy or any medication. So with time served and getting on a treatment plan now, voila, a second chance for Nelle.... which brings me to my point. Nelle comes back, Nelle is given a second chance, Nelle has Nina, and also Liesl (family now), Maxie, Britt on her side, if that sisterhood holds true. So... she's able to get her rights as Wylie's mother back. And what does that mean? Oh, that Willow isn't Wylie's stepmother anymore. She's not his adopted mother anymore. She's not related to him anymore at all. Once Willow realizes that Michael has to acknowledge the reality that Nelle is Wylie's mother, what on earth will the two of them talk about? Their entire relationship revolves around Wiley. There is nothing else there. Yes, I've thought a lot about how to bring Nelle back onto the canvas, why do you ask? I love her, OK.
  5. I adore Marcus Coloma as Nikolas. He is my favorite Nikolas by far. TC never did much for me, and whatever about the other guy. I find him charming when needed, desperate, sweet, sexy, intimidating, a great actor, believable as Laura's son, Lulu's brother, Elizabeth's oldest friend, former lover, and definitely as a prince. On top of that, he's dynamite with Maura West's Ava. I just think he's fantastic, charismatic and all-around the best Nikolas they've ever had.
  6. It is a CONTINUING antidote that he needs to receive to keep the symptoms at bay. It's not a stupid plot point. It's the SAME STORY that happened with Sean and Tiffany that Faison did. It's GH writers using the show's history! Something that we all want them to do. That's why we heard that story about Sean and Tiffany. That's how Faison got Sean to do things for him. It wasn't a cure, it kept the symptoms at bay. It's the same thing that Peter is doing, taking a page out of daddy's book!
  7. They do not know that he folded to Franco so quickly. And he didn't fold quickly to Leisl. She had him kidnapped for ages. They aren't cowering in their boots. Chase is literally dying in less than a few hours of him letting them know he poisoned him. if Anna tells Finn that it is a toxin, he's going to ask her how she knows... then that means she is telling him the information that Peter told her NOT TO TELL FINN (or rather, keep it between the three of them). That means that Anna can not tell Finn because if she does she will risk not getting the antidote that will save Chase's life. First of all, I mentioned in my first post about this that most of the episode was cut off by a press conference for me and even though it was after 8 it wasn't up on streaming for me for some reason so I didn't see the rest of it. Secondly... they would literally be risking Chase's life so that is what they are risking by not following his rules. I don't understand why this is so hard to understand. I get that we know logically that Chase is not going to die. But Anna, the character does not know this. Chase is going to die. He will die. Period. Dead. He will die if she does not do what Peter says. She does not know that he will fold like a cheap suit because only Peter and Franco know how quickly he folded and Franco is dead. Anna and Valentine are not recording their conversations because Anna knows that what they are doing is... wait for it... ILLEGAL. It is against the law. Anna and Valentine will get arrested for kidnapping. They are breaking the law. And anything that Peter says will get thrown out because it was said under duress. So it's pointless to record it Except.... That could take time and in the meantime, Peter if (and of course he would) finds out and chooses to NOT give them more antidote and they aren't able to figure out how to manufacture more in time to save Chase, well, then, yeah, Chase dies. Not so easy-peasy.
  8. Almost certainly, yes. Because he famously created the Blackwoods (I think that's the name) cure. In the GH world, that's a cure for a disease that was previously without a cure and despite being treated like a doc of all trades, Finn *is* an infectious disease experts so this would be up his alley.
  9. And they know that? How? Oh, right. They don't. All they know is that Chase is dying and the only way to save him is to get the antidote that keeps the symptoms at bay and so they have to do what Peter wants. Because Chase is a good man and he doesn't deserve to die on a 'well, maybe torturing him will work.'
  10. Iggy was clearly leaving messages all day long to Kapoor. Iggy is also clearly going through essentially a mental/emotional crisis, a depressive state. And, he IS seeing a therapist. We saw that in the last episode. He just didn't have a session this episode. As someone who has suffered from depression, my heart was breaking for him in those scenes. I'm honestly shocked at some of these comments about him here.
  11. Did no one else watch the scene with Peter, Anna and Valentine where he specifically told them that if they told ANYONE else about the antidote/toxins he wouldn't continue to give them the antidote? That is why Anna is not telling Finn. She's not being a bitch. She's not withholding info for funsies. She's doing it to literally save Chase. It is the only way. If she doesn't do it, she will not get the antidote from Peter that keeps the symptoms at bay to keep Chase alive. Going to the restaurant and finding out who slipped the toxin in does nothing. Torturing him doesn't do any good if Peter doesn't give in. Sure it might be fun, but Chase is dying now. They very well might not get the info/antidote in time. It's not a risk they can take right now. Chase is dying. Furthermore, I don't want to see Anna torture him. Even if he does deserve it, it would be out of character for Anna Devane to freaking torture anyone.... especially someone she does still think of as her son despite knowing the horrible things he's done, she's still not going to torture him. Sure, Valentine will, but not Anna! Killing him means.... NO ANTIDOTE. Telling Finn or anyone else about the toxin/antidote means that Peter won't continue giving them the antidote that keeps the symptoms at bay to keep Chase alive. It is the SAME THING that Faison did to Sean when poisoning Tiffany to get Sean to do bad things years ago. Peter engineered this, taking a page out of daddy's book, to get them off his back. The only way to keep Chase alive is to agree to keep silent. It's the only way to continue to get the antidote. Period. If Anna and Valentine are being stupid then so was Sean all those years ago. This is a classic soap move. Honestly, not everything GH does is awful. I mean, ya'll were so convinced it was so clearly going to be Gregory who was getting the "poison" and he was going to die because he was so clearly giving himself a eulogy and it was so predictable and lame of GH.... and that didn't happen. Instead, they reached into the history of the show utilizing Peter who grew up with Faison. He took a page out of his book and is following that lead. It all makes sense. All actions of all the characters make sense.
  12. Most of the soap was cut off for a press conference for me but from what I did see when I watched the Anna, Val, Peter scenes, to answer a few questions... Anna didn't tell Finn about the toxin because Peter specifically made it a condition that it could only be him, Anna and Valentine who knew or no antidote. Anna also couldn't risk torturing and definitely couldn't kill Peter because again she needs the antidote for Chase.
  13. I disagree it's a mess. I think it's an awesome, brilliantly, beautifully soap story that involves a whole mess of characters across the board! Maxie, Leisl, Mac, Robert, Anna, the Quartermaines, Dante through Maxie, Jason through Britt -- if something further happens with that, Chase through Maxie and if something more has happened with BL, Peter, Nina. This is good stuff that has been set-up well! I love it! I hope this is what they decide to do! *sigh* I continue to wish there was a positivity thread. Minus Britt dying. Maybe she'll just get kidnapped or get conked on the head by Peter and has partial memory loss! Thus that's why no one knows where the baby is!
  14. Last week when Peter was in the hospital, he made a nefarious comment about how to get to Anna and looked over at Finn who was doing doctor-y stuff. I was surprised that no one mentioned it here. It was a pretty obvious anvil that Peter planned on going after Finn to punish Anna. He knows she still loves him, but wouldn't think he needs to be protected since they broke up.
  15. I KNOW! I was so happy reading the comments and seeing that. Also, the last three episodes devoted to "one" person were Carly, BUT that was really Carly *and* Nelle, Finn and Ava. So, yeah, Nelle and Ava, now Alexis. As much as I loathe the Carly preference, in this case, she doesn't really get it.
  16. Not reading comments yet because, well, frankly, I expect negativity and I want to get my positivity out first. I thought this was a beautiful, brilliant episode. It literally made me cry. I absolutely adored it. And, yay, more Elizabeth/Finn tomorrow! WOOHOO! ETA: Yay, I was wrong. Seems like everyone else who has posted thus far loved it too!
  17. True, I was going off of that. I do know that in the alternate universe episodes, Damon and Elena had a daughter named Stefanie. I am not obsessively in the know about Legacies and TO as I am about TVD. That one I'm completely obsessed with.
  18. As for the first bolded.... those were metaphors. They were both trying to fix something literally (her get rid of the rat to make the soup/him repair the soup) and figuratively (Carol, just learn to let it go, let someone in -- she finally let Jerry be there for her, and the rat left on its own, Daryl, OK, I don't remember because I care way more about Carol than Daryl, but I know it was something, LOL). The second... first of all, again, this episode is NOT indicative of what their spin-off will be. This was about breaking down and repairing Daryl and Carol NOW. Not a season from now when the spin-off happens. This was bonus material, not a regular episode. And, hell yeah, the vast majority of Caryl fans were thrilled with this episode because it showed how well Angela Kang *gets* the heart of these two characters and their relationship. Just like she gets Negan and the journey that he's on and the growth he still has to do. He's a work in progress. He's not done yet. And that is what we got in this episode. That is one thing all of these bonus episodes showed us is that with these people separated in different factions, now all forced together, with things at Alexandria getting really bad we're getting to see the nitty, gritty of them again. Instead of just plot, plot, plot, we're seeing character exploration. That's the groundwork that Kang and co. are laying the groundwork for with these episodes.
  19. I gotta say I don't understand the complaints about these episodes. They were never going to move the plot forward. That was never the intention. We were always going to be at the exact same place emotionally, plot-wise, etc. as we were at the end of the "regular" season 10 heading into season 11. These were literally BONUS, EXTRA episodes. They were filler episodes, giving us some bits of back story on these characters. Also they gave us some information on just how bad things are in Alexandria--which is clearly really, really bad. The Aaron/Gabriel ep showed us that Aaron--despite everything--still believes, still has hope in humanity, while Gabriel has lost his faith pretty much. He's broken. We learned that Princess has a whole shit-ton of mental issues that could (will likely) come into play. One of the complaints about the new characters that have been brought in is that even after more than a few seasons with them is that we don't know diddly-squat about them, they're ciphers. Princess is a real character now. She's not a cipher anymore. The Negan episode gave us a guy who was fucked up, prone to violence, but held back because of the consequences of his actions and the love he felt for his wife. The apocalypse took away (he thought) the consequences, and then he lost his wife, so he let himself in his grief let loose his violence and never went back. Now, looking back he realizes that even though there's no law, there are still consequences. The First Daryl/Carol ep that was more from Daryl's pov and the second, more from Carol's, were both setting them up for their journey ahead, getting them back to a more comfortable place with each other and actually explore who they are to each other. They are being broken down and put back together. Normally, shows don't have the time to do these kinds of scenes/episodes. This is what you see in fanfic frankly. (It's why Caryl fans loved the second episode, "Diverged" so much.) It's a deeper exploration of who these characters are in relation to each other, separately and together. Neither is what we'll get in the spin-off. None of these episodes are what we would see in regular episodes. Again, these are just bonus episodes giving us some bonus material that we would never normally get. It's not about moving the plot forward, it's about digging deeper into these characters. I loved each and every one of them. I loved the exploration of these characters so much.
  20. No, it said Salvatore: Also, apparently, Damon and Elena's daughter, 11-year old Stefanie Rose Salvatore is a recurring background character on Legacies. She was also a guest character on The Originals. She is an untapped witch.
  21. IDGAF! I think GH is some damn great soap right now. I find myself watching and enjoying almost everything. Even the Carly stuff because I enjoy watching how consistently awful she is and how people are calling her out more and more. The Sonny stuff now that Nina is there us good. The Jason stuff because of Britt. Yeah, other than a few scenes here and there, I'm watching and enjoying everything
  22. Dude, that's nothing in the soap scheme of the things. Besides, Elizabeth and Hayden barely knew each other as sisters. Pfft!
  23. Yes, she was pregnant IRL. She gave birth and now is wearing a fake bump, playing out BL's pregnancy onscreen. The only reason we didn't see more of her pregnant onscreen is because of covid. AS understandably wanted to take extra precautions being pregnant and that's why she wasn't filming. As for today, my hopes for Finn/Elizabeth skyrocketed! And Cameron's song was beautiful. WL is really talented.
  24. I'm at work so I have no comment on today's show yet, I'll watch it later. But I did want to comment on yesterday regarding Valentin and Olivia. After their scenes, I thought of what had been said here and I have to concur: They really are chem-testing him with EVERYONE!
