  1. I think he's the detective we saw a few times last year, Bennett, who was hot, that we wanted to see more of.
  2. Yup, it used to be that regularly. And there were a few sites that recapped it for us in the US. It was nice getting that daily sneak peek.
  3. Grrrr, just read a recap. No, Carly was not late an hour. She wasn't planning on showing up. That's what she told Kristina, who told Sonny. That's why Sonny slept with Nina because by not coming that was telling Sonny they were over. Carly only showed up to tell him about Dante being in the hospital. Ugh, she's such a lying cow, and these writers are just as bad as the previous in retconning everything to paint Carly in the rosiest of views.
  4. Oh, I agree 100% about Amanda and Josh. I don't see a lick of romantic/sexual chemistry, and furthermore, their characters don't make an ounce of sense together. I'm still yearning for BLQ and Valentine. Now, THAT was a pairing with longterm legs, and a pair of actors with chemistry to spare. Nice that someone else agrees re: Elizabeth and Finn. Re: Steven, he killed someone. A patient maybe. But like my very missed Matt who killed Lisa Niles under extenuating circumstances, he is still in jail while our mobsters and ACTUAL KILLER CRIMINALS walk around free and dandy.
  5. I was really, truly hopeful about PM/EK -- especially Mulcahy because I adored his work in the past -- but I have stopped watching myself. I do think the pacing, dialogue is better, but the Carly adoration is just as bad, the Nina retconning/hate is just as bad. And, for me personally, the main reason I watch is for Finn/Elizabeth, Michael Easton and Rebecca Herbst. In the weeks when PM/EK unofficially took over, Finn/Elizabeth were featured once. Finn was on maybe two, three times. Since they officially took over, Finn/Elizabeth have been on one time. That's it. And Finn, again, was only on one, maybe two other days (which is why I'm kinda confused how he can be so hated when the guy is never on). RE: Elizabeth, I will say I did appreciate the little bit I got with her and her boys with Jason's return, but in retrospect, it was clearly part of Jason's story rather than about Elizabeth since she's once more barely on. OTOH, Carly is on constantly and her butt kissed so much it must be shiny red. Nina is on tons, but bitch-slapped so hard, her face must be shiny red. My least favorite couple, Brooklyn/Chase, are on so much, and another absolute dud pairing imo, Sasha/Cody, are on quite a bit too. And, I am sorry, but Lucy was right in that meeting. 100% right. And every time Maxie bitches about it, I wanna scream. (At least I read she is still bitching about it.) I get that Finn/Elizabeth aren't super popular (but, hey, when they've only had terrible storylines, absolutely horrific pacing, are barely on, it's rather hard for most viewers to get an accurate read on them*), but they do have their fans. Just like BL/Chase, Sasha/Cody, etc. But the writers refuse to throw us a bone. So, unless I see Elizabeth, Finn in that day's episode recap, I ain't watching. * Case in point: Chase/Brooklyn gained most of their fans during the Bailey story because it was a good story. They were written well during it, the pacing was well done, it was soapy, the love story part of it was well done. However, they began to lose viewers with the next story, the music career, the non-stop stupid lying, all of that idiocy because it was bad writing, the bad arcs, the horrible pacing. Same actors, same chemistry, the only difference was the bad story, bad pacing. Finn/Elizabeth started to gain fans during the initial story (Chase's poisoning), but that was just a warm-up and only lasted about a month and half, and then after that they were plagued with not just bad but HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE NO-GOOD story after HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE NO-GOOD story along with really bad pacing, like really, really bad pacing. It's not the actors. It's not the characters. It's the fact that the writers have YET to give these two a decent story with some good pacing! Anyhoo, back to the overall show and why I am not watching. Better pacing, better dialogue in the show overall is all fine and dandy, but when the storylines are a pile of steaming turd--oh, and they are!, no amount of polishing can make it watchable. Especially when you ain't giving me any of my preferred perfume (in this case, Finn and Elizabeth) to cover up the stink. Sorry, for the length, ya'll, but oh, this has been building for a while!
  6. Didn't Beverly tell Margaret they/she couldn't tell anyone about the financial crisis, and that's why she hasn't told Susan. It had to be dragged out of her to tell her assistant, and Todd figured it out himself.
  7. Exactly, Sarapa said Easton isn't one of the names he heard was rumored to be gone unlike what was being bandied about. If ME goes, so do I. The show is better written now, but Carly is still the greatest, Nina is the worst, Chase and Brooklyn are the most featured couple, and Elizabeth and Finn are still barely on. They have been on once since PM/EK officially started, twice since it was unofficial. I've been a cheerleader for the new regime, but JJ brought me back, and ME kept me. Without one of those two, I'm outta here.
  8. It's been denied by Sarapa and others who are more in the know, thank goodness!!!! I love ME.
  9. I'm guessing you don't pay much attention to their scenes because Finn regularly "allows" Elizabeth to have a POV. When they first starting sharing scenes, it was her POV that he generally took advice from and was inspired by. During the whole ridiculous story about her parents that stupidly brought his dead wife into it, Finn literally had three scenes that were about his POV on the whole his wife cheating on him, Elizabeth playing any part in. Every other scene of his revolved around Elizabeth's feelings, Elizabeth's point of view. When they were working their way back to each other, his main concern was two-fold, how it would effect Violet, and how Elizabeth felt. During the off and on poorly paced lawsuit, Finn relied on Elizabeth's advice and support to see him through. Finally, just a few weeks ago after he found Jake with the vape pen and they had a discussion, afterward, he asked Elizabeth if he had overstepped. They talked about it, and then their other kids. In fact, Elizabeth has discussed her feelings, concerns, etc with her kids often with Finn. And he has discussed his about Violet, his father, and Chase with her. IOW, Finn and Eliazabeth have had, from the beginning, an open line of communication where they both each have points of view. Where they both tell each other what they think and what they feel. On occasion, both have missed the mark, but they have course-corrected, discussed it, and come back stronger. @CeChase Oh, I'm so sorry, you never got to see the absolute awesome that was Sarah Joy Brown as Carly. She was my favorite character then. You should watch her on YouTube.
  10. I thought the last bit of the Drew/Nina scene was telling, him asking her to send him the article on healing. Also, overall, I'm not going to judge the character's actions too harshly based on how they acted in the past. Several previous HWs did horrendous heaps of disservice to many a character. PM/EK, I think, are trying, and as quickly as possible, to get as many of these characters back on track as reasonably as possible. Therefore, they will still do some frustrating things because moving too fast away from the recent behavior would be out of character. However, imo, the HWs are clearly moving them in the right direction. So, yeah, I'm just not gonna call the character's out for the awful way the former writers wrote them since PM/EK are actively steering them away from that behavior.
  11. I would like GH to make sense and for characters to be in character. We have been shown for decades that there are only three people that Jason would protect above all others, Michael, Carly, and Sonny, in that order. Ergo, he had to be protecting one of those three. We were told it was about RICO violations. Regardless of all the stupid shit Michael has done, he hasn't done enough--the solitary campaign donation years ago just isn't enough--to lay RICO charges on. Therefore, it had to be Carly or Sonny to make sense. In yesterday's show, Jason specifically said this had nothing to do with Sonny...which left Carly as the only person Jason could have been protecting IF the writers wanted to (a) keep Jason in character, and (b) what they've lain out so far to make sense. I prefer both a and b to happen because that is from where overall better storytelling comes.
  12. I don't think ppl have to worry about Jason and Carly. I could be wrong, but that is the vibe I'm getting, especially with how unpopular Carly/Jason were the last run.
  13. I dont think it's ever too late for that. Either to cause issues for Carly, screw with Sonny, free Ava from the Corinthos orbit, or bring Morgan back. It works for any of those things. And if not used for the latter, can still be used again if they do bring Morgan back.
  14. I'm excited fir more Drew/Nina, whi would think it? And finally! Elizabeth and Finn in the spoilers!!!
  15. One thing...someone mentioned that the only family Ava has is Avery. Not true. Since PM/EK have certainly been paying attention to the family ties, I'm sure they're aware that through Julian that Ava is connected to Sam and thus her children, and Leo, and thus the Qs. Also, Trina may not be her daughter, but Portia certainly considers Ava like a second mom to Trina. So, yes, Ava does have ties that the new HW can use to bind Ava to the canvas. And let's not forget.... there's always the possibility that Carly lied about who Avery's father is. Silas gave the DNA results to her (if I recall correctly), and we all know that it's totes possible that Carly lied about who the baby daddy was to keep Morgan away from Ava's clutches long-term. I'm just saying.
  16. I was annoyed with the Alexis, Olivia, Drew bashing Nina scene at first, but then I realized that if these characters suddenly were all hunky-dory with her, it would be like whiplash and make no sense. So an easing up will take time, I get that. The show is so improved overall, I can be patient.
  17. I'm gonna have to HARD disagree on this. I uber-adored Tamara's Carly and Jax. I thought Tamara and Ingo had incredible chemistry and worked so well together. I shipped them so, so hard. In fact, when Tamara came back as Kim, I was desperately hoping that maybe they would pair up Jax and Kim so I'd finally get those two together. Alas.
  18. Personally, I'm not judging Sam or Joss, etc. for not being as good a friend or a better mother, etc. now than they were before since the writing, relationships, connections, are already SO MUCH BETTER overall in just the brief amount of time that PM/EC have taken over. For example, let's look at Joss. Two examples of a better change in her. In the scene between Joss and Stella, Joss was showing herself a good friend to Trina. Sure, she talked about Oscar's death, but she wasn't making it about her. She was using her experience as a way of how it could relate TO Trina. She was making it ABOUT Trina. Also when she was talking to Michael about Jason and the situation with Willow where Michael was worried about her, he asked what Dex was saying, and she said she hadn't heard from Dex, and he asked why. Prior to these writers, Joss would have explained that they broke up, and it was really hard on her, and the rest of the episode would probably have continued with Joss and Michael discussing her relationship with Dex, how hard it was for Joss, and how awful Sonny was for what he did to ruin her great love, etc., etc. Instead, Joss just brushed it off like no big deal because it was more important what was going on with Jason, and Willow and Michael's concerns. And she didn't even tell him. Josslyn Jacks did not TALK ABOUT HER PERSONAL PROBLEMS! There are things like this that are happening that I am appreciating. There are still issues, but overall, I am pleased.
  19. The thing is that for some reason Amanda Setton works better on the May/December romances. She showed that on OLTL. And Jagger looks good, and they looked good together.
  20. I actually didn't think it was chem testing for Anna and Jagger, but rather we're getting some potential seeds for Brooklyn and Jagger. Their first meeting was antagonistic. She's talking/venting about him to Chase. He's talking about her to Anna, and in doing so, points out how she made him realize he had erred in his action, and essentially made him want to do better. I know that Chase and Brooklyn have their fans, but I read a lot more people bored with the two. Shaking them up would be the best thing for the characters and I could see the new regime throwing some seeds out there to see what blooms.
  21. I got what Joss was saying. In her mind (and this relates back to the Jason being a smart killer conversation with Cameron after Franco was killed), when Jason killed it was in a dangerous situation where he was protecting Sonny (or Carly, or other family members). It wasn't cold-blooded. It wasn't premeditated as she said to Dex. Jason was defending Sonny (or the family). He was protecting the family from enemies, from dangerous situations, from threats. That is how she thought it was. She may have made comments now and then (like, oh, can't Jason just kill Nelle), but she didn't really mean it. She never thought of Jason as an actual, honest-to-god HITMAN. As someone who killed someone because (as she pointed out to Carly or Dex, I forget which one) it was inconvenient to Sonny. There's a coldbloodedness, a premeditation to that that is beyond her moral compass to accept. She cannot justify it. But she realizes truly now that her mother can and does. For Jason. Joss had never allowed herself to truly think it, to verbalize it, but it had been there in the back of her mind without actually thinking it through that she could/would do the same for Dex. But when she was confronted with the reality of it, she realized, nope, that is a line that she could not cross. This is the kind of nuanced and thoughtful writing that we haven't gotten in years.
  22. I think we got the Sonny, Krissy, Natalia scenes of 'Sonny, he's so great' as a counter showing what a hypocrite he is because of the Dex, Anna and Joss, Carly stuff. It seemed very pointed to me.
  23. No one is safe. Tony Goldwyn of the Goldwyn lineage of the G in MGM came out a few years ago and spoke out about how he was sexually harassed Hollywood is a cesspool of inhumanity.
  24. There is clearly more going on here. We were just shown a small scene. A small piece of the puzzle. i don't expect that we will know the full story right away, but with Mulcahy (and Korte) running the show, I think we can expect more complex storytelling than we're used to, and it sure looks like it's not going to drag on as the previous HWs would have done.
