  1. Can't Amber open her eyes? Too many benzos?
  2. I notice a theme here. Except Chandi. 1 had to dance for her life. 1 cut from show group. 1 placed far in the back. 2 cut from the team. Dang.
  3. I did forget she was an event planner, and I was okay with her too UNTIL she yelled, "No one cares about you!!!" last week when her mom or sister were telling a pregnancy story.
  4. Two unexpecteds for me: I didn't like Taylor here. I did like Catelynn.
  5. Not to derail the thread, but that horrifies me. I have had an IUD for 3 yrs and have never known anyone that has happened to. I am not ready to be pregnant.
  6. Yeah, he was. But I kind of get where he was going. He feels judged. He feels unaccepted. We don't know all the reasons why. Some of it could be feeling self conscious around the quintessential "perfect family" when his life has been so different. Some of it could actually be based on something that's happened or been said. Or maybe it's a sign that he really needs to work on some things, and instead of doing that he's putting up defenses and blaming everybody else.
  7. I think they're referring to Tyra's sister's new baby. But by all means, yes, the previews would want us to believe it's them again.
  8. It was the first thing I noticed.
  9. I don't think Gary can win in this situation. I know it shouldn't be about him, but I understand that he's trying to do the "right" thing and doesn't ever want anyone, most importantly Leah, to look back later and see him as the cause of or perpetuating a broken relationship with her mother. I know Amber did that to herself. But I still appreciate what Gary is trying to do. He's allowing Leah to form her own opinions, and she seems to be doing so. I think the time will come as a teenager then an adult when Leah can and likely will choose to distance herself from Amber, if not cut ties. But she's still at an age where I believe it's appropriate for the other parent to encourage some semblance of a relationship. In a dangerous situation, sure, but in an safe but uncomfortable setting it's at least worth a try. Amber is different, so maybe I'll second guess all that. I'm just basing it off of being in a similar situation myself and seeing how quickly preteens will change their minds, latch on to what the person closest to them believes, and sometimes kind of get extreme with the back and forth. It's not the time to be planting or perpetuating any ideas. I'm fact, the more Gary does what he's doing, the more Leah may actually strengthen her own opinions and hold them as her own over time.
  10. I do like Lawrence. But I was kind of disturbed that he said not once but twice that not only can he not see himself with anyone else but, "I can't see her being with anyone else." It might have come out wrong. What he probably meant was that he doesn't want to think of that because he wants to be that person. But instead it came out as either 1)Nobody else would want to be with her or 2) Controlling vibes, like marking his territory.
  11. Claire, Claire and Kat ... that is a very unexpected grouping IMO.
  12. They also used Brennan to welcome in the rookies then cut her.
  13. And I thought Lily looked masculine! I couldn't get past her jaw line.
  14. Mackenzie's mom's death is also her storyline for the show. Which is gross in itself. But I'm sure her constantly tying her mom into everything has a lot to do with the cameras being around.
  15. I'm okay with her mom's death being a big deal to her. I'm 10 yrs older than she is, and my parents are elderly, and I'm absolutely going to lose my mind and see the entire world differently when either of them passes. At her age and her mother's age it would hit me very hard.
  16. Well ... I mean, he's not wrong. As much as I despise Amber and want Leah to feel heard, I do think it's important to gently discourage bitterness. Here's where I'm coming from: In my family we have a teen family member whose mom hasn't always made her feel wanted, kind of like Amber, and everyone of course is on the child's side. At the same time, beginning when she was about Leah's age, I watched adults egg on her comments about her mother to the point where even at age 12 or so she would hang up on her mom, give her lots of attitude and say horrid things about her when around others, and all the adults thought it was funny. Talking crap about her mom became a sport in itself for her, yet when she saw her in person she acted differently. It's never on the child to mend the relationship or keep things bottled up, but in the case I'm speaking about, so many people fed into this in the name of letting her vent and validating her that I truly believe by Leah's age she no longer saw relationships as two way streets, and I already see her cutting people out of her life left and right because everybody is "toxic". So she chooses not to answer the phone for family whenever she doesn't want to, runs away for short spurts, tells other people she is being abused, etc. If you look at her wrong. I just don't want Leah to grow up with that unbalanced mentality.
  17. Dani,Ellie or Claire would work for me. Also like Jada as a person, just not a pom dancer. ETA: Also McKenzie
  18. Well ... I did like that she's not hung up on her baby daddy. At times she seemed a little spoiled, but I never blame that on the teens, just on the parents. Although hers seem reasonable. Anyway, I like her sense of self at least.
  19. Amber: Her phone still says Gary the Fairy. The "damn good mom" speech was so irritating and delusional. She seemed high on the phone with her mom. Gary: He really did seem a lot more concerned about Amber than he should be. I think he's a great parent, but it was odd that the conversation about the dog was really about how bad they should feel for Amber. He even started crying. Leah wasn't half as upset. C&T: We've been talking about this for years, but I'll never get over how odd the communication style is between Tyler and his mom, and therefore now Tyler and everybody. And I like Kim, but they just yell and talk over one another, and you can't tell what's a question and what's a statement.
  20. Oh, absolutely. But -maybe I'm giving everyone too much credit - I think of these baby showers, gender reveals and birthday parties as content for the show, most likely egged on and partially paid for by producers. While it's usually over the top, marking milestones makes sense in this context. And if anything it usually serves the purpose of showing teens that these experiences usually don't turn out the way they might envision!
  21. What was up with Lawrence's mom saying the girl was a little "Prince" then getting mad that she was corrected?
  22. Eh, they're young. Maybe he has a really skewed perception of what pregnancy does to the body
  23. Re Tyra's body: Yeah, I see all sides here. It was odd and gross how the guy was gushing over her, but but maybe that's what he's into. And of course I noticed the same thing, that there were other girls there who were much more fit. I'll just say, in sort of a defense of Tyra, that she has a short torso (so do I) and may never look classically thin. And she was wearing a high-waisted bathing suit because of all those stretch marks she got. It's unfortunate, because high-waisted isn't going to be the best look for her body type, but considering it all, I think she looked the best she could have. Definitely better than I'll probably ever hope to look again. She also has large breasts, so the guy could've been into that?
  24. Rhine looks like he's wearing an old woman's wig!
  25. Again, he wasn't asking about the baby coming out when she dodged the question. He was asking how the sperm comes out of the penis.
