  1. What I loved in these episodes(301-304) was the common theme, instead of a same timeline. I will say that the first time I watched this one I too thought it was the most depressing hour of tv, but on rewatch I have come to appreciate it more. Jamie is physically strong but not emotionally strong without Claire! And Claire throws herself into work instead of family, I don’t think they knew how hard it would be?
  2. So how is it going? Are you enjoying Outlander?
  3. I felt like most of the scenes from 1948 were to remind us (and Claire) that she “belonged” in 1746! That is where she found her home!
  4. One thing I liked was going back & forth in time throughout the episode.
  5. This episode left so many questions about all that time that’s passed, right? When did Claire become a surgeon? Did she fall back in love with Frank? When did Frank die? Why did she keep her promise to never look for Jamie? why did she keep her promise to Frank to not tell Bree about Jamie? Claire promised Jamie in episode 206 that she would return to her own time if Culloden happened.
  6. @ gingerella, my first wave of tears comes at the realization that Claire has been gone for 20 years, so I am on about round 3 by the time she says goodbye to the Fraser stone at Culloden. One of my fave moments is Jamie knowing she is pregnant! Wow!
  7. I think Jamie trusts that if Claire loved Frank, & Frank loves Claire, because she is extraordinary that Frank will be the man he (Jamie) would be & take Claire back & raise his child. So you think Claire waits 20 years to go back but 20 years has not passed in Jamie’s time?
  8. Claire did indeed make Jamie into the man he becomes!
  9. I wish somehow it was less painful!
  10. “ This is my wife, she is a healer! “ Jamie is always so proud of Claire. What makes them a great couple is they bring out the best in each other!
  11. This is your fave season 2 epi? Not 213?( Not spoilery I hope) I love Jamie as army leader, & Claire as head nurse- this is how I see these 2 at their best jobs( working together). I don’t want to see them at war but damn they are good. Jamie’s goodbye kiss & bow to Claire is my favourite moment of this epi. All the feels. I hate that I have not seen GOT since apparently you all have. My son has it on DVD so we must get to it one day.( It seems I am usually years behind in watching all these acclaimed shows).
  12. 😂😂😂truer words were never spoken! So many I can’t count....☺️
  13. If there is one thing I love about Jamie it’s that he listens to every word Claire says, & remembers it all!
  14. I knew you would come around to Marsali, we all have, after a rough start.
  15. The real Lord Lovat was hung at the Tower of London for being a traitor & when I had a tour there a few years ago, they told us he was the last person to be hung there. I certainly wouldn’t have known him or much about the Jacobite rebellions if I had not watched Outlander.
  16. I caught tears in both their eyes & Jenny said something about “ you know how it is” , which I took as her acknowledging Claire losing the baby but not wanting to actually say anything.
  17. I think Beaufort Castle is the one Lovat still lives in, & they mentioned something about him having had a bunch of wives.
  18. This one was more serious as the subject needed to be! The Outlander clips were well placed, & the battle recreations in the show were obviously well done, based on the descriptions. My hubby very much enjoyed the history, as did I, knowing that we have Scots in our lineage, & why they came to live in Canada. We actually live in a city named after a Scottish town. Sad that it’s the last one of the season, hope we get more seasons.

    S02.E07: Faith

Claire was warned that the price of Jamie’s freedom would be to have sex with the king, so I see this as a business deal. A crappy deal, but one non the less. If you look up the real king, he had a reputation for this, but indeed pulled out so as to not have too many bastards running around. I assumed by the length of Jamie’s beard it had been a few months. Also I wish we did not see Fergus being raped, or better yet, this should have been an attempted rape, which would have brought on the same result as far as Jamie is concerned.

This is a marriage make or break moment...so I love what you said.
  21. Claire’s capes alone are worth a French rewatch!
  22. Jumping in to say I liked this episode...Jamie rubbing Claire’s feet & talking to the baby bump ( OMG I am in love). Also liked them deciding to tell Murtagh about Claire, & then her convo with him, & Fergus throughout the episode is a gem also. Horrified but not surprised by the ending ( as soon as it happened I understood epi 201 better). You’ve been reading & rereading & not rewatching? Wth?
  23. I thought most of the gruesome deaths happened to characters we barely knew this season ( compared to past seasons where it was beloved sidekicks & villains ). Bree & Roger did endure horrible assaults, but Jamie & Claire are completely unscathed this season. My hubby is always expecting some of these people to invent things ( future things they need). Season 4 is my least favourite season, but it is still engaging! Do you get to watch season 5 as well?
