  1. Marsali did not kill her father, she just wished him dead, & then it happened, so she felt guilty!
  2. Yes, from Murtagh’s words, I got that he needed something(a cause) in his life. He said Jamie had everything he’s ever wished for, but Murtagh has no wife, kids, home of his own, so he’s found a place with this cause!
  3. Season 2 coming from New Zealand…
  4. In case you are interested- all the indigenous actors were from Canada!
  5. Pretty sure season 7 was confirmed before they wrapped filming season 6.
  6. I think she got the speaking frankly from Claire!
  7. I must agree that both Roger & Frank should be more fascinated with history. I guess Roger is too busy having a hard time just surviving, while living in history & Frank weirdly could not put aside his petty jealousy to even hear more about it! It appears that Frank did not believe Claire at first, but we know eventually he did.
  8. Season 6 teaser trailer up on IG, FB, Twitter. Premiered at NYC ComicCom
  9. Keep in mind that time is condensed so much in tv time! And this story is full of unbelievable coincidences, I chalk this up as the fantasy element all the time! @gingerella I loathe the “who is the baby daddy “ storyline & it’s subsequent plot, like no other in the series. But I agree with @SassAndSnacks Sophie nailed the post rape scenes. I also think that being Jamie & Claire’s daughter she is able to draw on some inner strength here & not let them see she has been hurt. She has just arrived & met her da & she does not want him to know about Bonnet because he will blame himself (for letting Stephen go in the first place, & allowing all the following events). However her lack of communication with everyone, especially Lizzie, puts the whole chain of events into motion. Poor Roger!
  10. @gingerella I love reading your predictions!
  11. Gotta love Ted Lasso- best show in a long time!
  12. At some point we are expected to believe Jamie & Claire discussed every detail of their 20 yrs apart, & the people they encountered. Once in awhile we see ( on the show)a few things come up that they seem to have forgotten to share.
  13. Probably why they cut it, maybe better left offscreen?
  14. There is a deleted scene (from 306) where Jamie expands on telling Claire about how Geneva blackmailed him. I guess we were meant to think he told her at some point.
  15. I am not so enthralled by the homesteading! Yawn! I do believe Jocasta generously outfitted the cabin! Maybe watching Jamie build something would have made it more interesting, especially if he was shirtless, oops did I say that out loud? Aren’t we all the silversmith’s wife when it comes to Jamie? Murtagh kind of scowled at first thinking Jamie had a wife, until Jamie said it was Claire. Then it was the happiest I’ve ever seen him!
  16. I am with you, Jamie & Claire need their own bedroom ( preferably with soundproof walls, cause Claire, you know).
  17. Jamie liked Claire’s breeches, he backed her up against that tree!
  18. You are going so slow now, you won’t be done by the end of the year? Lol @gingerella @anothermi @Pallas
  19. I do not want all history sanitized but the show writers do have their work cut out for them to make some things acceptable to today's TV audience what with political correctness & hugely sensitive subjects. Neither they nor the author got everything right! Who is doing the research project? As a Canadian we don't have quite as many regional accents as the US, but I find this fascinating! I assumed Phaedre had indeed grown up at River Run, with Scottish accents around. As a show watcher first, I knew Jamie would not want to own slaves, because of being enslaved himself, but the show sort of ran with the idea that he could make their lives better, instead of that he could not own them at all!
  20. It has only been 4 months in showtime from 313-401. Maybe she meant viewers waiting a year to watch it ( it was actually about 14 mths)?
  21. Personally I enjoyed bingeing ( the first 3 seasons) more than watching live week to week, years apart ( 4 & 5). I hope you won’t give up! IMO season 4 is the weakest, both it’s adaptation & its source material, but season 5 is much stronger.
  22. The violence comes in closer doses in the show than in the thousand page books for sure! If you love reading, then the books will indeed give you more peaceful moments, but also more minutiae. I think most of us will agree this was not a compelling season opener.
  23. The supernatural elements of this show are not the highlights, it’s draw is the characters. Don’t drive yourself crazy, the author has yet to reveal the story behind Jamie as a ghost!
