  1. Yes we watched MIK on the Global app on the iPad. I would have preferred the bigscreen tv but no app on that. We do watch OL on W each season.
  2. As far as we can see Geillis has killed 3 husbands, & likely married each one for practical purposes.
  3. The post production one was was fascinating to learn how many people work on that aspect of the show, & how detail oriented it is!
  4. I've not much to say because ships make me puke, & puke makes me puke! The only explanation for Jamie being irrational is that he cannot lose Claire again, that is all! On to Survivor!
  5. Needless to say the back 1/2 of this season is not a favourite for me, I get seasick! I am still enjoying seeing you tying pieces together, and look forward to revelations & disappointments!
  6. I hope Claire didn’t say he was the spitting image of BJR, because Jamie having that picture in his mind, bedding his wife, & raising his child, would give him new nightmares!
  7. I think this episode is an amazing adaptation. Except maybe Jamie saying “you left me!” Is the funniest line! Does he have PTSD from making her go? Jamie - that was your idea! All yours!
  8. I meant mostly because she just shot him! Jamie is always the “bigger” person here, instead of charging Laoghaire, which would endanger her kids, he agrees to pay her & she gets off scot free!
  9. I really liked this episode, but find I am in the minority ( mostly because of the Laoghaire hate). Diana clearly was doing her usual foreshadowing with introducing Laoghaire ( I always want to spell it Leery, as we should be leery of her). One of my friends texted me before season 3 saying “ Jamie will likely be married to Laoghaire when Claire gets back! “, & I was stunned that she picked Up on that, as I had not really. Anyway it’s not that I like her, it’s that all other options seem worse. Jamie married someone nice, & had kids with them? Oh hell no! Also Jamie did keep SECRETS from Claire, but he did not lie! I do think it’s ridiculous that Jamie has to pay alimony! Not a Jenny fan either! SassAndSnacks & I have agreed to disagree on this episode as well. 😘
  10. I’ve always assumed they don’t tell Jenny about Brianna (because she is 200 years in the future, ) surely Jenny will be mad that she never writes either? @gingerella, scroll up just a few posts to see my comments on Jamie’s choice! And you’ve been very intuitive about how the biggest thing that Jamie fears is losing Claire again. Do you think he could live through that again? P.S. everytime you love some dialogue it’s straight from the author
  11. Quote by Gingerella: I get why Jamie wants her, but I am starting to doubt why she would want him now. And this is exactly what is wrong with this episode!
  12. https://ew.com/tv/outlander-season-6-first-look-2022-return/ Looks like the next season will be 8 episodes, premiering in early 2022, then season 7 will be 16 episodes!
  13. I pretty much expected them to be throwing themselves into each other arms, upon first sight & doing “it” on the printshop floor, so all the nervousness came as a complete surprise to me! He goes in to kiss her, but then remembers to ask? My hubby made a comment on his watch that that aspect was so well played, because, well 20 YEARS!! I think Jamie keeps thinking he’ll wake up from a dream & she won’t really be there. That was the longest undressing session in the history of tv....
  14. @ gingerella I thought Claire was crying because she had to give up Brianna to be with Jamie( he’d just said she was a good mother). Jamie & Claire had to give up each other so that Bree could live, so I guess it’s always a compromise. @ Anothermi I feel like a voyeur on the intimate scenes as well!
  15. As a makeup lover I loved Claire’s 60’s makeup. And Cait looks good in every era! I meant her excitement to see Jamie was written all over her face. She never had that expression the whole time she was in the 1900’s.
  16. Was this information available somewhere on the internet? That would be very handy!
  17. Did anyone notice how utterly glowing Claire is ( once she is in the past)? She looks young, & fresh, & nervous, & excited!
  18. You go ahead & have a word with that author you love! At least she died! I cannot say more because we all going to be here 4 episodes from now having another conversation about Jamie’s choices!
  19. We shall agree to disagree, my friend! This episode is a love it Or hate it! Yup, this is my Jamie!
  20. @ gingerella I think I can safely say it was handled better in the show than the book! @SassAndSnacks I love this episode, because I only see the good things, Jamie has a job he likes, a friend he trusts in John, a child to enjoy ( if only for a bit). It was the best part of his life without Claire. Did he need a son? No! Even if he had a son with Claire - that son would have been raised as a Randall, not a Fraser. So now he has one without his name as well. I do hope they have a real relationship later in life? I am also protective of Jamie & Claire’s love ( it’s something special) and didn’t want to see Jamie sleep with any other women. However in both instances we’ve seen, Jamie is thinking of Claire, & the show made that quite clear. It’s the best he can do under the circumstances. If this was real life, or worse a soap opera Jamie would have had a lot more lovers than these 2! Also Sam’s acting was spot on in this one- so much subtlety, with expressions, & body acting!
  21. Omg, I am crying! I wish I was this articulate!
  22. Same here with the flashbacks. I think he did any amazing job with these two characters but I hated him in the Crown ( I hated the whole cast change but that’s for another forum).
  23. Lol, I started watching 3 or 4 years ago, but yes the pandemic would have been a great time to find it. A few of my friends did finally watch it. I find the worst thing after bingeing all these shows is waiting a year for a new season ( or 2 years after said pandemic)-ugh!
  24. I think Jamie’s beard was better than in 207- that one was the worst. I will say that the way Sam uses his whole body, & not many words to convey his depression was impressive! I don’t think Claire hated being a mother either, she was just ahead of her time, having a career & a family. I love that she became a surgeon, (she already was one in the 1740’s). I love when everyone has these eloquent essays, and makes so many interesting interpretations, & predictions. Since it’s not my first time though, I just do summary( I joined this forum before season 4).
