  1. I am guessing that this is the turning point, & Roger & Jamie will have a good relationship. I like how it started with Jamie coming to take Bree hunting & he got Roger. Lol!
  2. This season might have us rethinking our top 10?
  3. Yes, I figured that out, plus he wanted room for Claire to sleep with him!
  4. I watch with my hubby, & he thought Jamie might actually die, or lose his leg, but I knew he would be fine! I laughed that he wanted to go to his bedroom, like he was hiding from Claire & her saw! I love that Claire & Bree have finally invented things.
  5. That was an excellent episode!
  6. Me too! I thought the show knew that in season 2 & 3, but they’ve forgotten.
  7. Awe, we are supposed to go to Scotland this year- obviously that will be cancelled! (We take turns picking vacation places & it was my pick). I had a meltdown when I first realized this virus was shutting down the whole world, but I guess we will be going next year or the year after (or some year). I couldn't keep it to myself so I made all my friends watch it, & my daughter, my mom, my co-workers, clients, LOL! My husband was so sick of everyone talking about it, that he said " Do you want to watch it again? I want to see what all the fuss is about!"( Twist my arm-did I want to watch it again?) He is a little jealous when I have a celeb/character crush, now he gets it-he loves Jamie!
  8. That must be the worst part of being a celebrity, you need to have very thick skin. I don’t think they owe fans anything, it’s no ones business who you are with, where you are, what you do. And social media has made people forget their manners.
  9. You don't make your husband watch Outlander? (I know-really that was my take away from your post, LOL). You should do that right away....
  10. Well there is the history, adventure & other characters to love! I am clearly a big romantic, so that moment was when I was like “I am all in now”!
  11. If you don’t buy into Jamie & Claire as “the “ couple I am not sure you are going to love this series. I’m 5 & 1/2 seasons in & it’s still my #1 episode, so I look forward to seeing you post here as you go on🤗
  12. In one of the season 4 episodes Roger talked about them seeing each other a few times during the year, but we only saw the time they had that fight (403 I think). Those were the years when Jamie & Claire were sailing around, & building Fraser's Ridge so we weren't in on it.
  13. This!! I still love it even when I don't love an episode!
  14. The producers & fans love David/John so they are keeping him employed🤔.
  15. I think Ian has been gone for 12-18 months
  16. I liked that Marsali missed her ma & sister but I love that she loves this family she has now!
  17. Not sure I liked it either. It was such a depressing episode! I was so excited Ian was back, but he's not the old Ian, (which brought much needed joy to season 4). I hoped he'd bring back a wife! Guess not. Fergus needs more than 1 line per episode! Perhaps we will see Ian & Fergus in an upcoming episode? Roger's time in the 1700's has sucked, I think I would have been heading back to 1970something, with or without the wife & kid! I know I say that I understand Claire going back, because come on- that is where she belongs, she is capable, & resilient. I hope he finds success soon. Rik gets the actor of the week award!
  18. I am just about to start The Fiery Cross as I always start them when I am just about done the season. Perhaps I will have some input then.
  19. I did like early season 3 (of Jamie & Claire being apart), I think the acting was amazing, from both Sam & Cait ( & everyone). I wonder if anyone will have episodes 309 through 313 on their list though, for me there would only be a few wonderful moments, not whole episodes.
  20. I have to say that although I like when we see the 2 different times, I think I was so sad in 201 that Claire had returned to 1948. Since I hadn’t read the book, thinking Jamie might be dead, was devastating. Of course I quickly realized Claire & Jamie were the couple who were meant to be together, but it put a damper on the whole season, knowing by the end of the season she would return to her own time. 😭😭😭
  21. I must say you really like a sad, punch in the gut don’t you ?
  22. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, & no one is wrong! I appreciate that this message board’s posters are respectful that way! Looks like many reviews for this episode are quite positive & complimentary of Sam https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/outlander/s05/e07
  23. I am going to jump in about the acting- I just rewatched this episode ( I am not working so have far too much time on my hands). Seriously that was a masterclass- Sam's face when Tryon put the coat on him, his sweet goodbye to Claire, his first weak "Help Me", his anger, grief, sadness ! I might have a little Sam crush but I still know good acting when I see it. I think Cait, & Rik are equally fantastic! Really everyone in this show is good. One of my friends just started watching recently & she texted me the other day to say how much she loves everything about it, & I was glad because I was telling her for that for years. There is much TV out there now with amazing acting, so that this show is getting overlooked for awards, although praised by critics, is too bad!
  24. I had a chance to watch again this morning. Thought I would add some of my positive thoughts: The first scene with Roger& Bree was sweet, I thought their goodbye kiss was good. Although I have no idea who's house they are at? A friend of Jocasta's? I loved the tent scene with Jamie & Claire, Jamie taking stock of his hand (that Claire fixed), the teasing, the touches ,the singing (from Claire's time) so well done, especially with the focus on Jamie- some female gaze for us(it was his bd)! The first time around my husband talked though this as he sometimes does, he also lost his dad quite young, so will have outlived him soon. I like this director (I think he did the other ones I loved this season). Speaking of that female gaze-thank you for Jamie in the river. LOL to the foreshadowing of calling on Dougal, as he is reincarnated as Buck, the asshole. Jamie's look of disgust at putting on that coat was amazing (Sam conveys so much with his expressions, I can't believe he is not nominated for awards). And Claire's face too when she sees him was perfect. In fact their whole conversation about good luck was perfect! Claire does not say I love you often enough. A lot of call backs to season 2 Prestonpans I felt, with Jamie commanding an army & Claire setting up a hospital, them knowing who wins, (& losing a loved one). The Browns are most certainly bad news! Jamie's first "Help ME " tore me up, but I really started to bawl when Claire said goodbye "my friend" to Murtagh. I did think he might die this season, after epi 1, & 6. I love a good cliffhanger!!! Kudos to the writers, director, all the actors! Might have me thinking of changing my top 10.
  25. Yes, you are so right about that!
