Roger should indeed start a university! I think Sam does look older with this new wig showing his forehead, without the bangs. Love 60's Claire-the hair & makeup are gorgeous.

I don't think it was out of character-Jamie will kill to protect his family, his first oath is to them. However in this instance, I thought he would have tried to intercept the letter instead first.

My understanding is that she would have lost the baby no matter what, she was stillborn. It was really no ones fault, but when you lose a baby you try to blame someone (yourself, your spouse, the Dr, God).

These 2 episodes have had a lot of Jamie & Claire (played perfectly imo) , but I also liked the snippets of Marsali & Bree, & Roger & Fergus-all the in-law bonding! Obviously we are being introduced to many new characters, & I assume they all might play a role later on (in this season or next?) Doesn't anyone remember when they couldn't keep Rupert & Angus straight because they were new? Maybe we will come to care about some of these people?

I kinda loved that Morton used the true love/soulmates thing on Jamie, Claire & Roger-who are they to argue?? I am sure lots of people rolled their eyes though!

Scarlett45 you are not wrong. Roger is now Mackenzie instead of Wakefield, & the Beardsley twins are 14 & too young to fight.

Thinking Bonett will show up any time is terrifying! I loved Marsali & Bree bonding, that was great to see, as sisters-in-law, they could be best friends.

I thought Roger was getting some redemption from Jamie when he picked Roger to take Claire home! She said she was “the thing he loves the most!” Awe! Jamie & Claire are perfect this season! Perfection! I may have shed a tear when Jamie asked her in the woods if she wanted to keep the baby! Everytime I am reminded of that 20 yrs & Jamie with no babies I cry. I also expected a shag in the woods but they were interrupted by the shot. I did see Sam say in an interview that learning to dance was hard, especially in those boots!( And I’m kinda sad cause I like men who can sing & dance.)

The only family tree the reverend & Frank were talking about was Frank's with Black Jack Randall at the top!

In case you missed it-it was actually Dougal who is fathered Hamish(109), & also Roger's descendant (213)-the war chief (Dougal) & the witch (Geillis). Claire got Roger's family tree from the lady at the library in 213, & Colum told her in 212, about who they gave Dougal & Geillis' son to.

Jamie does not want Claire to leave, as he likes her/wants her/is in love with her already. I hope that is not spoilery.

It's so fun to think back to the first time I watched it & had no idea where the story was going!! Hope you continue to enjoy Hanahope.

I was suspecting that eventually he can say he hears the stones, & they will know then. I haven't read ahead so don't know this for sure.
