Emma had Henry in jail when she was 17, long before the flashbacks in this ep. The flashbacks were set two years before the pilot, so eight years or so after she had Henry.

That's exactly it. When has Regina EVER placed blame where it belongs, especially if it's on herself? It's always the fault of a 10-year-old or a book.... Pretty sure they're setting up S6 to be ER vs. CS, blaming Emma for Robin's death, poor Regina, always a victim of the Snow family, etc. Everything old is new again! That awful, Emma-shaming script tease is part of it.

Of course, if Emma does go under a sleeping curse, there will have to be some sort of separation or secreting of her away, since both Henry and Hook would be able to TLK her awake. I would hope it wouldn't be too long, since I don't want Emma to develop Belle's persistent off-canvas narcolepsy. Though I suppose if JMo needs a bit of time off or reduced hours for her Sun Dogs movie, that might fit well.

That article did spoil a lot. As if I weren't dreading the annual SQ road trip already, now we know we'll get Regina insulting and yelling at Emma again, because that's always soooooo much fun. Dare we hope Emma will give it right back to her for a change? (Hahahahahahahahahaha, I keed, I keed.) What do you want to bet Regina fights against her Evil Queen impulses and succeeds, so we can see how much she's truly changed -- and then she gets a dose of the Jekyll Juice and changes against her will?

Colin's new movie appears to be called "What Still Remains," though I cannot find any info on a movie by that name, so either it's had a name change or it's an indy movie that doesn't show up on production lists. It also appears to involve guns (unless it was just a team-building exercise at a shooting range), so I hope he doesn't die in it, too.

Man, I hope they free those lost souls in the river. I doubt there will be any interacting. Probably just shapes going into the light, if that.

LOL on the TLK comment. TLKs are forever ruined. Something that was supposed to be so powerful and rare, and they turned it into something utterly trite and meaningless. If Zades can have a TLK, then two wine glasses that clink into each other can have a TLK. I can't go with the Orpheus/Eurydice parallel, because Orpheus knew that Eurydice was following him. Emma knew Hook wasn't. I can't really talk about the ep too much or I might have an aneurysm, but suffice it to say I'm amid the wreckage of many, many tables. I think it utterly destroyed what was magical about CaptainSwan for me. In effect, they gave up on their love and hope and just let each other go. Yeah, super romantic and special. That's not the message I signed up for. As laughably ruined as TLKs are these days, their TLK moment was rushed and lacking in impact. And it wasn't about THEM so much as it was about HER. All that angst and pain this season for ... that? This is the absolute worst show in terms of payoff I've ever had the misfortune to be emotionally invested in. Any saving of Hook will have absolutely nothing to do with Emma or their love. It'll be some meaningless random randomness.

After. I suspect there will be a bit of a time jump between eps 21 (funeral) & ep 22 (running off to NYC). Because it would be unbelievable Henry would leave Regina soon after that.

I am 100% with you. It disgusts me how Emma is continuously getting crapped on and having happiness taken away from her, when she has done nothing to deserve it. She even gets called a murderer and punched in the face for protecting her son from being killed.

Because every character must wail and gnash their teeth and rend their garments over Regina's pain?

The correct answer in this case is "They're all great! I couldn't kill any of them!" and leave it at that.

In a recent interview, JMo referred to the new characters as "literary." I think there's a good chance multiple characters will end up having different personalities running around. I wonder if Emma's heart will be too heavy at the start on the scale, and as they talk about things and get things out in the open, it gets lighter. I also wonder if when Zeus ex machina swoops in to save Hook (insert eye roll), we get something like the Miracle Max/Westley "Princess Bride" scene -- "What you got there that's worth living for?" "Truuuuuuuuue Loooooove." Perhaps we'll also get some mutton commentary, since Prince Charles had thoughts about the mutton at Midas's party.

It would, I think. And I think it would be a Jekyll/Hyde situation where Regina doesn't even realize -- given that we're getting actual Jekyll/Hyde, it stands to reason that we'd get some current character in that situation. My guess is that she will be given the Jekyll/Hyde potion -- which I petition to be called Jekyll Juice.

Sorry about the previous post. I was trying to shake a quote box that would not go away from the reply window -- it was hanging around from when I replied to something YESTERDAY!! So apparently this info was out before, but I missed it: Could the return of someone old be the Evil Queen?? I can't think who else it would be, really.

That's totally what it felt like to me, too. They clearly weren't interested in him at all, but the viewers and Colin were, so they threw something in to shut us up. I would be cool if his MOTHER was Davy (Davinia) Jones. But it's not going to happen.
