  1. I hope it's because he secretly siphons off what CS accomplish for Hook -- because that would mean that they actually accomplish something. I don't buy that he & Zelena are TL.
  2. Shanna, I'm so sorry about your friend! I'm glad there were a bunch of people there to rally around the girlfriend, at least.
  3. Found the pic with the trailer that says Hades: https://twitter.com/leafladygreens/status/707385502815498245
  4. It was awesome, but it wasn't really payoff for something big they'd set up. When they set something up with clear expectations, they consistently fail to deliver. Somebody posted a BTS pic of Hades/GG's trailer with his name on it during ep 21 filming after they were back in SB.
  5. I feel this way, too. There may be some sort of nebulous TL moment or something, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to be nearly as epic and wonderful as everybody has firmly assumed it will be. This show NEVER meets the expectations that people have when it comes to payoff. So I doubt this will be any different.
  6. LOL. I know the recent articles said she just launched her production company, but according to this site, she incorporated it all the way back in 2004. Not sure how legit that site is, but at the very least, she referenced it as being formed in the past tense in this 2014 article.
  7. Colin said at the UK con that he's leaving next week to film a movie for a month. No details, but good for him! It must be a significant role and movie for him to film that long.
  8. Better Call Saul is from Vince Gilligan. Enough said.
  9. I've seen speculation that the secret is that Regina and Zelena met as kids and were friends, but Cora erased their memories. It is weird both of their child selves are in the next ep.
  10. According to ShowBuzzDaily, the half-hour breakdown was 1.2 - 1.1.
  11. It was. He had a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. He posted a video about it. I wasn't a fan of his writing or his social media presence, but it really sucks. Cancer sucks. ETA: EW story.
  12. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not. That's the ugly flip side of the GA. Camera One is right, you see this sort of nasty vitriol under just about every news story out there. It's depressing.
  13. Michael Coleman, who plays Happy, just tweeted that he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome a month ago. :-(
  14. Same. The CaptainCharming scene was nice, and I love that they came up with the plan to let Snow get back to Snowflake. And I loved when Emma was encouraging Snow to leave. That had depth. The rest was empty and soulless. So many good points! Ugh, the chisel/hook thing is awful. So shoddy!! Why bother writing Belle pregnant if we're not going to see Belle pregnant while Emilie is pregnant? It's utterly pointless! They had clearly set up Ruby & Mulan to become a couple in their previous episode, but they just as clearly changed it to Ruby & Dorothy for some inexplicable reason. I wonder if it was simply because we'd figured out it was Ruby/Mulan, and they care more about "surprising" us than paying off what they've set up. Inexcusable. That was a BIG mistake in my opinion. We knew & loved Ruby & Mulan as individuals, so would have been more invested in them finding a Happy Ending together. Dorothy and Ruby knew each other for literally one day! And suddenly they're True Love enough to break a sleeping curse? That's not even remotely satisfying! Then Ruby could have admitted her feelings for Dorothy and they could have worked from there. But a TLK for them? Nope! That utterly cheapens the power of a TLK, IMO. How sad is it that Toto TLKing Dorothy would've been more realistic. They'd damn well better find a way to free all the poor characters who ended up in the River of Lost Souls. Auntie Em!! That's just unpleasant.
  15. At least some people are doing something for Emma instead of for Regina or Emma doing everything for them, for a change. I feel like the fandom is going to be even more of a mess than usual after tonight's ep.
  16. The first section of that article made me want to drop-kick a puppy. I couldn't read any further after they blamed Emma for Graham & Neal's death. Biggest load of bollocks I've ever had the misfortune to read.
  17. I would bet money that CS won't have a TLK this season. Maybe even never. As Katherine astutely said above, A&E care more about surprising the audience than satisfying us. They know CS fans are dying for a TLK, and the show fed that expectation heavily with all the failed TLKs and TLK talk this season. They have narratively set up a successful TLK -- but that is what they do: they set things up but don't deliver a payoff. They actually seem to pride themselves on never delivering what the fans want or expect. I think it's exactly the same reason we have no CS sex/morning after scene -- it's because they know the fans want it, so they won't give it. No wonder fans are getting more & more dissatisfied! CS may get some "moment" in 5x20 to get Hook out of the UW, since that is when they apparently leave -- but it's just as likely that he'll be released because of some sudden, random, arbitrary reason like Zeus sweeps in and sets him free simply to annoy Hades. (There was that "King Marcus" casting spoiler that sounded like Zeus.) Or Zades has a TLK that inspires Hades to let Hook go. But it will have absolutely nothing to do with Emma. That's the kind of soulless, unsatisfying "twist" A&E like.
  18. That, plus Ruby going to the UW for Dorothy (with no Mulan in sight), plus Dorothy being under a curse. Plus the title of the ep being Ruby Slippers.
  19. It seems pretty clear from the spoilers that the LGBT couple is Ruby/Dorothy and that they get a TLK to free Dorothy from the curse. I do not understand why they dropped the obviously set up Ruby/Mulan. People were already invested in them as a couple because we knew them and rooted for them individually. Is ANYBODY invested in Dorothy? Do they actually think people will be invested in Ruby Slippers as a couple in one ep? Really foolish IMO.
  20. Jared has been doing a bunch of Twitter polls, and they've tended to get in the 10K-15K range of votes. Favorite villain got over 17K votes, and I seriously doubt people were making new Twitter accounts to vote on THAT. The actors get a good amount of more general-audience-type Twitter followers who probably don't see much or any of the fandom drama. They just follow him because he's an actor in a show they like. I follow some random celebrities I like just to see what they post, but I never look at their mentions. So I think Jared's poll is probably more indicative of general audience sentiment than some random fan account's poll that gets 800 votes. I think the most votes I've seen a fan poll get was like 1700. Of course, Twitter is just a teeny subset of the viewing audience. But if one were going to put any stock at all into a Twitter poll, Jared's would at least be vaguely representative.
  21. Disney is doing a live-action Peter Pan. Which I find a bit odd, given that we just had a live-action Pan that flopped.
  22. The Friends cast all submitted for supporting in the first several years of the show, but at some point all changed to submitting for lead. I think sometimes the category submitted is a contractual thing. Ginny & JMo were definitely the female leads when they signed onto the show, so it may carry over from that. Sometimes it's simply an actor's choice. Sometimes there's probably network wrangling/discussion. Sometimes the actor just lets their manager/agent handle it and doesn't pay attention. There are all sorts of variables. But it's pretty ridiculous that fans are up in arms about it; they clearly don't understand the business or Emmy nominations. And it's a complete moot point anyway -- it's not like Once is ever going to get an acting Emmy nomination. But, well -- TS, TF (New acronym: This Show, This Fandom.)
  23. If you haven't seen the miniseries adaptations with Ioan Gruffudd as Horatio Hornblower -- watch them NOW!!!
