Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!
Souris replied to regularlyleaded's topic in Once Upon A Time
We know Emma and Elsa are also at the house at some point, too, from JMo Twitter pics. -
Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

Clearly the action is at the honeymoon house. And not the honeymoon kind of action. I wonder what Hook and Rumple are staring at in that one still? They both look a bit surprised. -

I think we'll see Maleficent in present-day, too. I just find it interesting there are no set pics of her yet. It does sound like she initially busts out in dragon form. Maybe Rumple, Ursula and Cruella help return her to person form. Maybe they need her for some reason in their scheme. Because they're a Trio of Evil, there must be a scheme. -

I hope promo but there could be any number of biz reasons: meeting with a new agent, setting up a gig for the hiatus, something for The Dust Storm he filmed last hiatus. But it does seem they were filming flashback today. Oddly, for all the Maleficent talk, the actress hasn't been spotted filming yet. She must be doing all interiors so far, unless a location shoot went unspoiled. -
U is for Underage, which Emma was when he hooked up with her.

A Thread for All Seasons: OUaT Across All Realms
Souris replied to stealinghome's topic in Once Upon A Time
This and another post I saw about the show having all the right puzzle pieces completely sum up this show. It's like this puzzle that when put together correctly, makes an absolutely beautiful picture. But A&E have taken the pieces and put them together not exactly right, jamming together some pieces that don't fit, losing a few pieces and maybe turning a few wrong-side-up. There are enough pieces in the correct places that you can tell what the picture SHOULD look like, and even without the reference picture to go by, you know it would be beautiful -- but it's off and incomplete. Or, spurred by the previous quoted message, this show is Rachel's Thanksgiving trifle from "Friends" -- part trifle, part shepherd's pie. -
Q is for Quiet Minds, where he officially died.

I for Emma's Incarceration, which he and August arranged.

Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

Sean replied to MRJ that he looked forward to seeing him for the "real fun" soon. Cue speculation about Neal haunting Rumple from the grave over his evil deeds, LOL. -
F is for his Fiancee Tamara. (ETA: Or was she just his girlfriend? I forget now.)

Well, that was mostly Colin's fault for breaking his leg skiing. There was supposed to be more Neal/Hook development before then, but Colin had to be out for so many eps. 2B was a mess.

MRJ tweeted about meeting up with Colin and Sean for lunch in LA today. Given that JMo has been in NY for a few days and Colin is in LA for some reason, safe to say no Emma or Hook filming today. According to area people on Tumblr, the show is still on filming 4x13, likely to start 4x14 Thursday or Friday. -
W is for the Wardrobe that Ingrid stuck the urn and a frozen Hans in.

The Writers of OUAT: Because, Um, Magic, That's Why
Souris replied to Souris's topic in Once Upon A Time
This isn't related to Once, but I hope it's OK to post here: Drama in The Newsroom writers' room. I wonder how much discussion and disagreement goes on in the Once writers' room, or on other shows. It's extremely rare to hear dirty laundry aired like this. -
M is for the ice Magic that Elsa and Ingrid share.

Fandom and Viewer Issues: "Fan" Is Short for "Fanatic"
Souris replied to Emma's topic in Once Upon A Time
Yes, I've been sitting at my computer murmuring, "Oh, dear. Oh, no. Oh, dear." Rather interesting timing given our recent conversations in this forum about real-person shipping. I made it clear it skeeves me out. It seems so presumptuous (as if we know even a tiny fraction of the actors' real lives) and disrespectful to all involved. So just ... oh, dear. And I can't help but thinking the rest of the fandom is going to have a field day -- "Oh, those silly, immature CS shippers, they can't tell fiction from reality!" At least, the ones who aren't SQ shippers who already think JMo is secretly in love with Lana, that is. Next thing you know, JMo will be lusting after the Pongo actor. (Well, OK, given how much she loves dogs, that last one might be true. ;) -
Morality in Storybrooke / Social Issues: Threads Combined!
Souris replied to Rumsy4's topic in Once Upon A Time
Absolutely! It's everybody else's reactions to Regina that are the problem, not Regina herself, really. If characters were able to react to her with any realism, and people actually called her on her shit, it would be fine. If the show didn't portray her as the victimiest victim that ever victimed, it would be fine. If the show didn't force every other character to cheerlead her and apologize to HER for things they have absolutely no reason to, it would be fine. If the show didn't whitewash her crimes and equate a kid telling a secret or Emma saving a life with Regina's murders etc., it would be fine. If the show recognized her selfish narcissism and presented her as in the wrong, it would be fine. She could be exactly the same character as she is, and it would be fine. But that's not how the show deals with Regina, and it's NOT fine. -

I am cynical enough to wonder if he's partially trying to make a name for himself by endearing himself to the very vocal SQ fans. -
Ratings and Scheduling: Who's the fairest of them all?
Souris replied to Serena's topic in Once Upon A Time
No. Once is doing so well compared to the rest of ABC's schedule that is not helmed by Shonda Rhimes, it's safe. -
A is for the Adorable Anna of Arendelle!

Killian Jones/Captain Hook: One Handed Pirate With A Drinking Problem
Souris replied to Arandil's topic in Once Upon A Time
BuddyTV picked Colin as the #2 Sexiest Man of 2014 (out of 100!). Nice! I really would have liked to see more diversity, though. That's an awfully white list. (Though maybe that says more about the lack of diversity on TV than the selection committee.) -
Speculation WITHOUT Spoilers: Lalalalala! I can't hear you!
Souris replied to regularlyleaded's topic in Once Upon A Time
I had a thought. What if Belle ends up with the real dagger somehow and orders Rumple to return Hook's heart to him and then leave town? It would be nice for Belle to get a spine. Though that would be yet another instance of it not being Emma to save Hook. Or maybe she could order Rumple to leave after he goes through with his plan (and after Curio's revised speculation occurs ;-). -
Fandom and Viewer Issues: "Fan" Is Short for "Fanatic"
Souris replied to Emma's topic in Once Upon A Time
Absolutely, Shanna Marie. I'm not in PR, but I deal with it tangentially and hear enough stories from friends who are in PR, to know the right and wrong ways to engage with the public. The Once writers and ABC have not gone about dealing with SQ fans in an effective way. I recognize that social media is a fairly new animal for the PR world, but some things are just basic common sense. And the people who should know better have failed at even that. And their failure has ended up screwing over the actors, JMo particularly. I think they all need some social-media and social-issue training. -

4x11 press release. "Guest stars include" -- they're holding some back, I think.
