  1. A genuinely nice person, a functional family unit, no fighting, no apparent drug use, no pity party or meltdowns. I was a little leery of the BF but he was wanting Krystal healthier for real. Despite a broken down car, living temporarily in what looked like a sad filthy homeless camp, they got to Houston & she really got it together big time. I wish her & her family so much luck & happiness. Great episode.
  2. Not a single fight, not one crying jag, no self pity, woe is me or blaming others. Please be successful, Krystal.
  3. Another poundicipant driving around dangerously because the man in her life can't for whatever reason 🫀. And looks like he's unable to push her wheelchair either, since her daughter has to. 🀨. Nice.
  4. I totally agree. I don't think the family was all that close until the TLC $$ brought them together. I recall a comment by Chris a few seasons ago that he never got along with Amanda, but that they were all older now. Something to that effect. I think she's a bossy bully. I also think her involvement in Amy's post-partum "I'm overwhelmed!" fights with her husband may have influenced Amy into a divorce she may not have really wanted. After all, Amanda had just divorced Michael's brother.
  5. Amy already had a gastric bypass in the first season of the show. It changes your digestive system greatly. (I had one many years ago so I know). She's also diabetic. She also doesn't eat right. When you binge on carbs, it causes "dumping syndrome" & it causes your heart to race & you don't feel well. In addition, the carbs cause blood sugar to soar. Then the body compensates by releasing extra insulin, which in turn causes the blood sugar to plummet, which is very very dangerous. Either one or both of these things is my guess as to what's happening with her. The I can't poop excuse is ridiculous.
  6. I wonder if Amy might realize some day the possibility that just maybe her big mouth sister Amanda, fresh from divorcing Michael's brother, may have helped instigate her into a divorce she may not have really wanted.
  7. Just a side note, but why do they provide items in the pantry if they don't want the contestants to use them? Specifically the non-pariels (sp?). Ashley was a mediocre performer most of the season, but I guess her finale display was a tad nicer than the rest. Would be nice if they could consider not just the final challenge in deciding the winner. Maybe Nancy needs to be retired, she makes less sense every year. Enough already with the bourbon. I'd love to see Jason Smith there. Yes he's goofy but he knows his baking & his comments on other shows were always well thought out.
  8. Yeah I read that too. Michael never really seemed comfortable discussing personal issues in front of the camera crew. It always seemed to me he was going out of his way indulging his wife because she loves being a media personality.
  9. The judging this season is just wacky. One minute they're raving over a shades of brown dessert, the next Nancy is saying the green isn't green enough, "where's my holiday?" & Duff is saying that it needs glitter & sparkles. Super subjective judging, they contradict themselves more than usual. And the challenge of making a cake that when smashed upside down looks great was just plain crazy. Justine's voice is like nails on a blackboard to me, I muted the tv when she's on.
  10. I feel very very sorry for those babies. There seems to be constant chaos, filth & violence in their lives. Whatever Amy is admitting to, I'll bet those kids' home life is a thousand times worse. Then there's the smoking. Does Aunt Tammy live with them? Didn't she get arrested for weed recently? And yeah I'm sure Amy's mom wouldn't have gotten any awards, but she had to work. Amy hasn't worked a day in her life. With her vision issues I'm sure she's been collecting disability most of her life. She wanted 2 kids. Michael works nights. She was a lazy filthy slob of a housekeeper, even before she had kids. He's supposed to work, so all the family errands & housework too? Just my opinion, but I think Amanda is a bitch & had a lot to do with that divorce, which happened not much after she divorced Michael's brother. She was sowing the seeds against him last season already. I recall Chris saying a few seasons ago that they never got along (till TLC $$$ came along I guess). Now they're having physical fistfights? I pray Michael has shared custody. Amy's trying to feed the kids healthy? Holy crap, look at the stuff we've seen her consume! I used to really enjoy this show, but now I'm just sad for those kids. It's the only person on the show not to get one (or more) weight loss surgeries - Chris' wife?
  11. If I'm not mistaken, this would be Amanda's 2nd weight loss surgery......
  12. Oh this is everything I've been thinking!! They started setting Michael up as a uninvolved father last season in the episode where they're all at a big family BBQ. Gage was crabby in the heat & the camera pans over to Michael eating his food & Amy crying. So big mouth shit-stirrer Amanda takes Gage from Amy & comments to the camera about how Michael is just sitting there like a crappy father. Definitely an editing hit job. Let's keep in mind that Amanda had just divorced Michael's brother, the father of her 4 children. The house Tammy moved into when released from rehab was a house in the Halterman family, ironically. Amy said many times that she wanted 2 children, and as soon as the 2nd popped out boom, divorce time. I feel sorry for those boys & their dad. Based on all the prior seasons, Michael doted on his wife & pushed her 700 lb sister around for years.
  13. As soon as Justine declared her team was the "winnas" I think we all knew they wouldn't be, that's just the manufactured drama we've come to expect on this show. And BTW that accent seems a bit exaggerated. Funny how the judges thought their ornament was lacking sparkles & "internal structure" πŸ€”, but I didn't notice any sparkles on the winna either.
  14. Damn I'm glad I didn't watch this season. Seeing a vulnerable recent widower being abused by a selfish daughter, a production team & a newfound "family" is really bottom of the barrel trash. Sad.
  15. This show ran it's course a few years ago. I watched a few episodes last season before I pulled the plug & didn't watch at all this season. Was shocked it even came back. Exploiting a family death & her father's brief at a vulnerable time, plus a 50 year old indiscretion is just distasteful, exploitive & even a bit despicable to me. She herself has NOTHING going on in her life.
  16. Was hoping Jonathan would be hosting, that was a little disappointing . it was so good to see him back on Halloween Wars. (But I do miss the laughing evil jack-o'-lantern at the start of the show). Geez the quality of the displays still seems a tad lacking - it's not like it was back in the pre-covid days. I'm not a big Aarti fan, there's just something about her that rubs me the wrong way. Not everyone likes everyone, so whatever. She just did a stint on Halloween Wars, can't they let someone else take a turn? The show loves to manufacture unnecessary drama. Teamwork friction & by Aarti & Shinmin's over the top reactions to everything. Comes across as fake.
  17. New title of series: "My Dadwe's Life Exposed Because My Life Ain't Fabulous Enough for TLC". Her friends are there for a buck & she's absolutely shameless.
  18. All these comments totally validate my decision not to waste my time watching this show anymore. Thanks!
  19. So I heard the great news that Jonathan is back, that's a good start. But if I don't see any pumpkins this season, I'm OUT. Again.
  20. I'm done with this woman & won't waste my time watching, but I'm not above checking here for updates LOL. Remember the premise of this show at it's beginning & look how it changed. Instead of being inspirational & showing us that a fat girl can be active with the dancing & all, it came down to exploiting a friend's drug problem, fake romances & airing dirty family laundry. As far as "love children" go, there could be a number of scenarios going on. There were no DNA tests of course. Perhaps the child's mother got married & preferred not to have the kid's biological dad in the picture. If they were both young this was a common scenario back in the day, when most people did get married. It was just more acceptable socially all way around. Plus there have been so many fake storylines on this show that frankly, who knows if this isn't another one? What I find astounding is how low Whitney will sink to create a story interesting enough to pitch to TLC so she could get yet another season of this awful show. Would any of us do this to their elderly widower dad? It's as though he's sacrificing his dignity so his daughter can bank a few more bucks. Despicable.
  21. You mean what kind of storylines the writers can come up with in an attempt to drag this show out for another season? Yet another faux "romance" maybe? Where she'll vacation? Which old friends she's still in communication with?
  22. I can't bear another season of this woman, I thought this show finally ended but noooooooooo all of a sudden out of the blue here it is again. I'll let others do my dirty work for me & I'll catch up on this site for the snark however 😏
  23. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ Maybe this is why those 2 little boys are now without a live-in dad. I don't think Michael wanted his & his kids' lives on view so much. Amy did.
