  1. I'd like less Meemaw. We get half of every episode with her and Missy gets maybe two lines,
  2. AT&T doesn't carry that. TCM has repeated some of the Saturday series, and they ran an endless stretch of Dead End Kids movies, so they could at least do Blondie.
  3. Reading Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli: The Epic Story of the Making of The Godfather by Mark Seal. in-depth look at the movie starting with Puzo's writing of the novel. If you like the movie, well worth reading.
  4. I noticed TCM has a day of Blondie movies coming up. I always wished they'd do Blondie movies in their Saturday morning spot where the do a film in a series every week. Somehow 8 hours straight of Blondie might be overload. Looking again, it's only three movies for 4 hours. Playing this Saturday, Nov. 6. (Still wish they'd do the whole series on Sat. mornings.)
  5. Unless it belonged to someone else. Just don't let Brent Spiner anywhere near it!
  6. I like the kids, but last season (after some great early episodes) it seemed almost like the show could be almost be retitled "Old Meemaw."
  7. Yeah, basically true. Once I was in a hotel in NYC, There was a building under construction across the street and a construction worker was peeing off the building on everyone walking far below.
  8. I don't watch SNL either (I find most of the later SNL stars more creepy than funny), and had no idea the person in that ad is "somebody", but then a lot of the "somebodies" in recent ads who I have no idea who they are (and really don't want to know. The "somebodies" I know are bad enough).
  9. Maybe they mean "where everyone can chafe", which would be pretty grating, I guess?
  10. RIP, Mort Sahl, a fixture of 60s and 70s talk shows, https://people.com/tv/stand-up-comedian-mort-sahl-dead-at-94/
  11. There's also a Lucy and Desi movie due out "Becoming the Ricardos"
  12. Or you can just go here: https://www.medicare.gov/plan-compare/#/?lang=en&year=2022
  13. Sounds like a Monty Python routine, "Ranch, ranch. ranch, ranch..." Are any of you Vikings?
  14. There's a book due out in a week or so, "The Midwest Survival Guide: How We Talk, Love, Work, Drink, and Eat . . . Everything with Ranch" by Charlie Berens
  15. I guess you're not from the Midwest, land of ranch dressing.
  16. I complained about that one above. She needs to get off my lawn!
  17. Seems like a random service for a phone company to provide. "I've fallen and I can't get up" makes sense.
  18. No, never watched it. I just think they lucked out with that actress in the first ad. (If you notice, that version still shows up, despite all the later ones.)
  19. Apparently a number of other mobile phone companies provide this service. I was surprised to discover this. It seemed somewhat in congruent.
  20. I still like "Parker", but the rest of them are "meh".
  21. Worst Medicare Advantage ad is the one with Wanda (I believe her name is), the old lady with the glasses, who keeps saying she won't call for info on Medicare Advantage. I'd even watch "Dynomite" Walker before this one. And people complain about annoying kids in ads! Someone should clobber her with a bucket of chicken.
  22. I took it that the buoy falling over was a ED metaphor.
  23. The one in the butcher shop would almost make me a vegetarian. I think she's cute, right up there with the "I want a bucket of chicken" girl.
  24. Some may be interested in Karen Grassle's autobiography due out in a few weeks: "Bright Lights, Prairie Dust: Reflections on Life, Loss, and Love from Little House's Ma"
