That's "white people dancing". If you watch movies or TV shows from that era of the Sixties, that's pretty much how they all danced.

The Chicago documentaries were interesting. My sister was in home room with him for 4 years with Fred Hampton (he overlapped me by two years). He was very politically active even in high school.

I was amazed that TCM showed "I am Curious (Yellow)". The film was originally seized by US Customs. It was one of the first sex (soft-core porn?) films to get wide distribution in the US. It became one of the highest-grossing foreign films and got attention after Johnny Carson said on the "Tonight Show" that he had seen it and Jackie O judo thew a photographer as she left the theater. I recall adults at the time complaining that they went to see it and it was porn, like they didn't know beforehand that it was a "sex" film.

No, it should be re-titled "Old Meemaw." If it was about his family, Missy would get more than two lines per episode.

At least the gambling parlor plot would be going somewhere. Maybe she sets up a raid and partner Ruby ends up being the one arrested. I liked that finally there was an episode this season with the kids having a big role (although I always think we need more Missy).

And if Mandy continues to be a character she'll eventually become a "b*llbuster" like almost all female characters on Chuck Lorre shows.

I think I saw something about a "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" series.

And soon the Valentine's Day perfume ads.

I describe it as like "The Drew Carey Show," only funny.

So its going to take them 160 days to go around the world?

Being from Chicago, I like this ad (there's a series with the same performer. The one with "dibs" is good too.): The Napoleon one is funny (not belly laugh funny).

Makes me wonder what they are going to do with the long rail trip across the US since they already used the burning of the rail cars.

Shows with kids often have the problem that they age and the writers keep trying to write for them as if they were still younger. Only "The Simpsons" solved this problem. 😄 I never really found the adult Sheldon funny. Young Sheldon was funnier, because at 10 years of age you expect him to act like a child, but I noticed in this episode particularly that he didn't come off well.

There was a brief rash of British shows that ran on US stations in the late 50s-early 60s, including this, "Ivanhoe", and the "Invisible Man" show. Then there weren't many more until the later 60s and early 70s, with "Secret Agent", "The Saint", "The Avengers", and "The Prisoner". As well some PBS channels showing British shows like "Dr. Who" and "Monty Python." I wish more non-US shows would run on US channels (such as Canadian "Corner Gas").

RIP, Bob Saget and Dwayne Hickman.

Or it might have been pure laziness by the writers and we are trying to give it deep meaning.

Sitcoms where relatively minor characters "took over" the show because of their audience popularity was a particular problem in the 1970s (IMO).
