  1. I guess I should have finished the last Web of Lies. I watched it for a while and thought, ho hum, girlfriend gets boyfriend to kill parents. Seen that a few times, delete. I usually love WOL, so I'll have more patience in the future - lol
  2. Web of Lies last night was about a 12-year-old boy who tried to meet up with a "girl" who had started texting him out of the blue. Parent's worst nightmare! Geez, I felt so bad for that mom. Very chilling story. I was worried Web of Lies would end up kind of like Catfish and be the same scenario over and over, but they've done a good job of having stories with a different twist.
  3. I've been able to catch all the episodes of the newest season except for Leaky Bedroom Disaster and Solarium Refresh. Have those aired? If so, is the season over? Really love this project.
  4. Applecrisp, that episode of Web of Lies is what made me search and see if there was a thread for the series. I just could not believe that mother was so cold. I'd love to know what the real story was of why she couldn't wait to get her daughter out of her house. I'm thinking a man was involved. Pure speculation, but something was really off with that woman.
  5. I was confused by why he would shoplift when he had thousands of dollars in the trunk of his car, so this seems like a pretty reasonable explanation. Also, none of these shows mentioned the trouble he got into before this latest round where he was arrested for peeing on items in a store. The guy seems to be coming unhinged (more unhinged).
  6. Great comments here. I don't have much to add, but I did notice how the dad didn't sugar coat the daughter. I've read a lot of comments on these boards about how the victim is always made out to be a saint and how silly that is. The dad kind of told it like he saw it, so I'm not going to complain he didn't do the same old song and dance of martyring the victim. I don't know any mother who works full-time and has three kids that could possibly have the time or energy for an affair. So, yeah, I don't think Rachel was putting her kids' needs first. Not saying her dad isn't a wing nut, but as has been pointed out, there's was plenty of dysfunction to go around.
  7. You read my mind, walnutqueen. I was so confused about why I was having trouble following the ID thread. I followed the whole network topic, like you suggested.
  8. Have to agree with the previous posters on Meghan (Team Blake) looking so much older than her years. She's got a beautiful face, but that Driving Miss Daisy hair makes her look like a grandma. I guess it says a lot about my impression of the singers this year that that's all my thoughts on the battle rounds so far.
  9. So hated that detective. My daughter has Asperger's, and the type of thinking this guy exhibited scares me to death. She would definitely ping his hinky meter if she was involved in something like this because her reactions probably wouldn't be "normal" to him, which apparently means guilty.
  10. Mountainair, there's Fashion Queens on Bravo. I think it airs Sunday nights. I haven't been watching long. It's entertaining, but for some reason, they don't seem to do fashion roundups for, say, the Oscars, which are some of my favorite times to watch.
  11. Darn, I missed the Concordia one. I thought the one about the California fires was riveting. I just can't believe these people made it out alive. I too thought there were some continuity/editing issues. There were a couple of places where the timeline just seemed to jump, and I was left wondering what happened. I had so many questions about the family with the three kids too. I'm sure it was a totally confusing (and unprecedented) situation, but I just can't imagine leaving my children behind, at least until I knew they were all safely in cars. I'm sure if they had it to do over, they'd say screw the cars and all jump in one and get to safety. I'm am glad their faith sustains them, truly, but I'm really wondering if that second body was a neighbor trying to help. I mean, surely the police did some investigating to try to figure it out?
  12. I hope they can reinvent this show because I found the whole concept with Joan Rivers unwatchable. It seemed like they were going for the same feel by just plugging Kathy in. But I really want a show that discusses celebrity fashion, so I hope they can just scrap it and start from scratch
  13. I saw something the other day where Kathy said she wouldn't have done the Zendaya joke. She apparently has forgotten she was the one who made the weed comment first. I'm wondering if that caused some more drama with G behind the scenes.
  14. Thanks for that info, applecrisp. I was thinking we maybe just need an ID thread. Had no idea there already was one.
  15. I'm so glad Quentin was saved. He's my only dog in this fight, except for maybe Sarina Joi. Usually I'd worry about a wildcard getting booted next week, but he was so good and there was so many hideous performances (unfortunately, I'm looking at you, Sarina), I'm really thinking he's going to make it through to sing another day. Daniel and Quassim were the bottom of the barrel for me. Daniel just bugs me on a personal level, but also the sound of his voice is just weird and unpleasant to me. He sings like he's got peanut butter stuck in his throat. Quassim didn't even sing, and did the same shtick he's done every week. I thought the judges would tear him apart, so of course, they loved him. I do like Joey's voice, but I wish she would tone down the quirky pronunciations. King of Spine?
  16. I was wishing we had a thread for Paula, and I'm also really enjoying Web of Lies this season. It consistently leaves my jaw hanging, and there's no thread for it.
  17. Yeah, I've lost some respect for Pharrell over this. I don't think he's the Zen master he portrays. A real man would have just copped to it and eaten some humble pie. The first time I heard Blurred Lines, I thought it was cool that they sampled Get on the Floor because I love that song. Everyone makes mistakes. Just admit it, reimburse the family, and move on, but no. Now his lawyer is saying this is going to put a chilling effect on artists and creativity or some BS. Shut up. You're just making it worse.
  18. Thanks for posting, raiderred1. Can you shed any light on Eric Williams' reputation before it came out that he had stolen the computer monitors?
  19. I too was confused about how events unfolded. I did a little poking around and found this article. I still have a lot of questions about the timeline of the murder, but this clarifies somewhat - http://www.csun.edu/~hcjou002/JTrial4.pdf
  20. Jax doesn't bother me. I find Loren's blatant attention seeking much more annoying. She had to be the first one to hug every contestant after they got done singing like they were her bestest friend ever.
  21. Good question, walnutqueen. I don't know the answer to that. I wonder if you can just say, "Either arrest me or let me go on my way."
  22. What a waste of human lives all around. So sad. It must have sucked to be those cops. I wonder if they were lulled into a sense of security because nothing usually happened in that neighborhood or what? And there was more than one, so what the heck? It never occurred to any of them that it wasn't a good idea to let her go back in the house by herself? The husband was a real piece of work, suing because they could have stopped the murder. And then fights his son for his inheritence! What a POS. And he wasn't nearly as smart as he thought he was. Should have used untraceable phones before the murder and assumed El Coupon was wired after. Rookie mistakes! I could commit the perfect murder from my education watching all these shows - lol.
  23. And she was constantly touching her hair. Drove me nuts. She might tell it like it is, though, which would be refreshing.
  24. Freakin' Quentin, yes!!! He's the only one I cared about, and I was so scared he was gone. Woo hoo!
  25. Has anyone watched the reruns of the "Zendaya" episode? I was curious if they edited out the comments.
