  1. What was the mini part? Was that their nickname for a cupcake (mini cake)? They didn't seem to specialize in those tiny cupcakes.
  2. Amen, attica. You can certainly see why some of these people are in danger of going under.
  3. Oh, yeah, now I remember. I started to watch it once, and when I realized it was one of those fake Operation Repo type deals, I turned the channel. Can't stand that.
  4. Cry Wolfe? Gosh, I don't even recall that one.
  5. Am I the only one who rewound to read the attorney's lips when he said Ricky's Xbox screen name and they bleeped it out? I couldn't figure it out - lol
  6. Y'all are cracking me up. My only thought about this one was what someone mentioned up-thread. Do all these false results on the lie detector tests give the investigators pause and make them realize the test isn't the end all, be all? Thank goodness they aren't admissible in court.
  7. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Exactly what I'd expect from Joan River's progeny.
  8. I'm really wondering if the old guy had some sort of dementia or Alzheimer's. I have wondered the same in many of these episodes since they often involve cranky older men. I don't remember them ever touching on this in Fear Thy Neighbor or mentioning it as some sort of defense.
  9. I'll sign your petition to get rid of the House of Horrors commercial if you'll sign my petition to get rid of the blackhead commercial. It may be Proactive, but I always fast forward. So tired of seeing those clogged pores.
  10. This woman is so deluded! I think the "dream" was something she came up with afterwards, just like the recovered memory of having actually seen a man murder Kelly. I guess her mama thinks she hung the moon and the stars and she just assumes everyone else will believe her BS too. And I loved the dig at Kelly's weight. Yeah, sure, Sheila fixed Kelly up with her ex for a "get out of jail free" pass, but let Kelly know that she would have to lose some weight, for goodness sakes, if she was going to bag him. No, Sheila, you weren't even a little jealous, were you? What a nut job.
  11. ReadHead Zombie, I'm with you on Aphrodite! Can't stand her crazy eyes and ZOMG!!! comments. Anyone else think of Susanna Hoffs and her side-to-side eye movements in Walk Like an Egyptian when watching Aphrodite? Maybe that's where she got it. I only listened to the latest episode while trying to fall asleep, and that worked much better.
  12. UsernameFatigue, the show made a point of mentioning that Castro didn't have anything in his name (houses, cars.) So maybe that was the case with the insurance too. I guess if you can convince people to let you kill them, it's not that hard to convince people to be the beneficiaries and turn the money over to you after they collect. Geez, too bad he didn't use his powers for good.
  13. Click on Forums at the top. Scroll down past all the shows to Misc TV Talk, and then there's a category within that called Network Talk. There's a thread for ID . You have to follow the whole Network Talk section, though, if you want to know when there's updates..
  14. Thanks for starting this, applecrisp. Like I commented in the ID thread, I really was intrigued by this one and didn't have it figured out from the get-go. Very different from the usual "husband did it." I felt so bad for the two sisters, especially the younger one who was being molested by the leader. Geez, I will never understand these parents who willingly submit their children to this kind of abuse in the name of God.
  15. I know Dateline already has its own thread, but I'm not seeing a new topic for the show Friday, Angels and Demons. I really was intrigued by that one and didn't have it figured out from the get-go. Very different from the usual "husband did it." I felt so bad for the two sisters, especially the younger one who was being molested by the leader. Geez, I will never understand these parents who willingly submit their children to this kind of abuse in the name of God.
  16. IDK, I guess I see a guy that's more defiant than repentant, and that probably did him no favors. He was obviously pissed about the prior break-ins and worried for the safety of his child and wife when he had to leave soon to go to his seasonal job. That may have caused him to shoot his mouth off at the salon. I don't know that that should have any bearing on whether it was justified or not, but I can see your points, Canaanite2.
  17. I think it's a shame how all this came down, but 70 years, to me, is a ridiculously unfair sentence for the homeowner, who did not appear to have a criminal past. If you choose to go onto someone's property and steal something, you have no control over how they're going to react. It's a dangerous game, obviously. Another case of the cops saying how someone "should" react and deciding there's a crime there because the person didn't react the way they "think" they would.
  18. I googled it after I saw this post. Found it on youtube. It seems to be the full documentary, but it kinds of jumped forward at a few points. When I realized it was the case of the mom and daughters who had been sexually assaulted and burned to death, I almost didn't watch it because that case has always been my absolute worst nightmare. I have a 13 year old daughter, and it is so painful to hear what the youngest went through (and all of them). It was really well done though, and it just dumbfounds me that the police were outside for 30 minutes while the horrors inside were going on. I had never heard that before.
  19. Yep, seen it. What does that say about me?
  20. I agree, tobysmom. Kelly is getting a bit long in the tooth to be a pop princess.
  21. I took a break from watching The Voice after this season first started. Just wasn't that interested (they should really only do this once a year, IMO). I started watching again to see who had made it through to the finals, and I must say that I am startled by how much better the singers on The Voice are compared to American Idol. I think most of the singers in the finals on Idol wouldn't have even made it to the finals on Voice. Anyway, there's a few I really like. The only one I cannot stand is Sawyer. Cannot even watch that kid. Have to fast forward every time. He totally creeps me out. I think he looks like Cousin It with that hat and hair. I have a pet peeve about these young performers who smile inappropriately, though, so I think that's what really makes me want to smack the shit out of him.
  22. That is too funny, Rina99. And what was she like and how did it feel when she went missing and did you think the case would ever be solved and what was your reaction when he was found guilty...lol
  23. I am enthralled with the Aaron Hernandez case and am hoping one of my true crime shows is going to do a piece on it. Such a fall from grace. In other random thoughts, does anyone watch On the Case with Paula Zahn? I don't know why, but it always feels like the same story over and over. I swear to God she never deviates from the script. It is the same questions each time.
  24. I also thought something was really off with the Fear Thy Neighbor guy. The same stuff y'all already mentioned, but also how, after calling the police, he went back out and yelled at the guy dying on the ground! "I warned you!" or some nonsense. Really, dude? And shot a hole in his yardman's truck. Guess it wasn't the yardman's time.
  25. Re Quentin-gate, I started getting uncomfortable when they panned to Quentin during Harry's critique. He looked PISSED that he wasn't getting a tongue bath. I get so annoyed at these shows that they just blow kisses at these contestants. I find Harry a breath of fresh air. I guess we now know why he (and they) can't give more detailed, constructive critiques - the little ones would crumple up into a ball and die.
