  1. Plus I wonder who else he has assaulted/raped/murdered that he didn't get caught for. The guy obviously had a compulsion that I don't think just goes away.
  2. I'm really enjoying this show, but I'm thinking the most interesting part would be the "after." I have no idea what it would feel like to be adopted, but it seems like some of these people (Benjamin, for example) really have an unrealistic view of parent/child relationships. They can be difficult and messy, just like adoptive parent/child relationships. I just hope there's some counseling available for these people or some help adjusting if needed.
  3. So I usually tape all ID shows and fast-forward through the commercials, but I stopped to watch the commercial for next week's Disappeared while I was watching this week's episode. It was the old narrator in the commercial. Have they always used the old narrator in the commercials, or is this a clue that our beloved might be returning? He was narrating another ID show not too long ago, so he's obviously still around.
  4. Yeah, that was what the ex said. "Accommodating to the end," was Keith's comment about that.
  5. Definitely the original Disappeared episodes. I also like Web of Lies a lot.
  6. applescrisp, the ones that haunt me are anything having to do with coerced confessions or children. The worst was a little girl who was buried alive after being taken from her home in the middle of the night and sexually assaulted. Honestly, a lot of times I just skip them if I know the subject beforehand because it's just too much.
  7. The one on last night where the lady dated a man for several years, and his son ended up stalking her for over 20 years.
  8. Congratulations, Obsession: Dark Desires, you punked me last night. I actually recognized this story and was thinking, "Wow, this guy stalked two women! She's lucky she didn't get killed like the other gal." Not so much :(
  9. Yeah, I missed the narrator. I don't remember hearing the gong sound either. That's an integral part of the show for me - lol. But I thought it was an interesting story. I was kind of bummed when I realized near the end that they weren't going to solve it. Duh...
  10. Really enjoyed this episode. I always find it so much more interesting when it's not the usual suspects/usual victims. I can see a case being made for either one of them doing it or both, but I really have no idea. Was anyone else bugged by how Taylor was sitting in her little red shorty shorts during the interrogation? Her body language was all, "I'm lounging at home watching some Walking Dead." Maybe she was still drunk. Don't know if she's guilty, but she's an odd bird.
  11. They could never figure out the identity of Will Johnstrom, and I think they said their best theory about the son was that he was afraid mom was going to move to Tampa and his free ride would be over since he lived with her.
  12. Just caught Web of Lies about the older lady that was murdered in her home by . It really didn't involve the web at all, and I really felt bad for her that they had to expose such personal information about her - online boyfriend that coaxed her into posing for sexy pictures and videos and building up to bondage scenarios. I don't care what the lady wanted to do in her private life, but I seriously doubt she would have wanted some of her most personal moments broadcast to the world. It really seemed unnecessary, especially with her family commenting, but then I guess there wouldn't have been much of a story otherwise.
  13. I loved Julie's 40's movie star accent, or whatever, when she was talking to Peewee. Also loved that they covered The Walking Dead because that's one show I actually watch. I think I'd enjoy it more just watching their recaps. Re new couple, don't like the girl but I like the guy. He seems like a sweet boyfriend, and I have a soft spot for nerdy guys.
  14. Thanks for the heads up! I'll be erasing these as well then.
  15. I swear practically every "new" show the last few weeks has been a story already done on other shows. Sometimes it's interesting because they'll put in different details, but most times, it's the same stuff.
  16. So this is why Palate served their bread in a colander. Also reminds me of Kwame dinging Philip on wanting to use wine glasses shaped like mason jars during the shopping trip: "Do you use those in your restaurant? Of course you do."
  17. Well, at least I found this episode entertaining enough to watch the whole thing. And Aubrey is a cutie pie, so there's that. The thing I'm really missing from this show is more information on Eugenie and who she was as a person, other than the same photos of her as a bridesmaid that they show over and over again.
  18. I'm very curious if Jeneve is high-functioning autistic. My daughter is, and I see a lot of similarities. I think Jeneve could be a very conventionally beautiful girl if she would let the stylists have their way, and she really feels the lyrics and connects with them, and I think she has a great voice. But she has no fucks to give when it comes to understanding that her look is really hurting her in this competition. It's what she likes, and you might as well be talking to a brick wall if you want her to change.
  19. Second (third?) the annoyance at "spacial, so very spacial." I don't know if the person who used to write the "recaps" of Jena Irene's pronunciations is still around here, but this kid is ripe for that treatment. "I'm a creep, I'm a widow" - lol
  20. Geez, have you noticed if you kill your wife or child, you get off a lot easier? Crazy. His little bright, happy face in the picture they showed at the end was just...I have no words. How could you treat that beautiful child and beautiful spirit that way?
  21. I found this episode so boring, I couldn't even finish it. Glad I have y'all to fill me in. My thoughts on the ex...didn't they say Eugenie came from a wealthy family? So maybe her ex does too and can afford all the lawyers. I was wondering how the fact that this is all being filmed for a TV show impacted his reaction to being interviewed. Surely they would have had to inform him of this up front. That would be a game changer for me.
  22. What was her sentence? Can't remember.
  23. I just discovered this show near the end of last season. Top Chef is the only thing I can stand on Bravo, so I'm glad that they cover shows from different networks. This is probably the reason why it took me so long to stumble across it too. I need to tell my friends about it to make sure it stays on. And apropos of nothing, I am totally hetero, but I really have a girl crush on Julie.
  24. Aww, I really liked that, especially the ending. Had the energy of a live show that is always so exciting. Could definitely have been two hours instead of three though.
  25. I am so excited to see this. I am one of the great unwashed masses who has never seen the stage version, so I'm not really bothered about whether they're staying true to it or not. The movie came out when I was in 8th grade, and I loved it so much. And I think Julianne Hough is as cute as a goddamn button, so I'm rooting for her to do well. I just hope there's chemistry between her and Tviet because that could make it fall flat.
