  1. Thanks, auntjess. Have I missed a lot of shows?
  2. I thought I had this series set to automatically DVR any new shows, and I haven't seen anything showing up. But this thread keeps popping up, so I'm wondering if I missed recording it somehow. Can someone fill me in on if there's a new season going on. Thanks!
  3. Yeah, I wonder what else was going on. I mean, if this was his first offense, why not plea bargain it down like they do for everyone else in the county. I totally get that he was a judge and should be held to a higher standard. I would think being forced to step down from that would be humiliating and punishment enough. But then to lose your livelihood, IDK, it all just seems so punitive and makes me think there's a lot more to this.
  4. Even if they spin this as Meri's decision, can you imagine the pressure? I mean, talk about the elephant in the room when Robin and Kody are lamenting the fact that if something happened to Robin, they would have no recourse as far as the kids' future. "If only there was some way we could make sure the kids stay with the Browns if something happens to Robin." Camera pans to Meri (crickets). You'd have to be a fool to not get the implication.
  5. Such BS. These people are so full of crap. Did Kody seriously say, "Is this legal?"
  6. I don't have much to say about the girls. I absolutely loved Sarina, and that was about it. Shannon is the kind of contestant I actually like for American Idol. My favorite thing is to see someone very green, unpolished, rough around the edges, and see how much they grow during the competition. I don't need everyone to spring forth fully formed.
  7. I almost can't watch these shows that are about a coerced confession. They just make me sick. I've read a little about the issue in general, and when the show started, I wondered if the girl was of average intelligence or if there was some other issue because that is often the case in these situations. Sure enough. I don't know if she's innocent or not, but it makes me want to make sure my children know they don't have to be grilled in a small room by intimidating police officers without water and food for hours on end. "I want a lawyer." End of story.
  8. Obviously there was no excuse for carrying out this vendetta against the prosecutors, but I thought it was really harsh that the guy lost his law license and his ability to make a living. I could see how that could really mess with someone's mind. But, again, no excuse.
  9. Y'all don't go off on me if I get this wrong, but she said that women have fought for equal rights for gays and minorities and it's time for gays and minorities to fight for women's rights. Apparently this was terribly offensive because there are gay women and minority women and gay minority women, hence intersection. This was somehow distorted to mean she was saying only white women deserve equal pay. God, I don't know. One thing I do know, if you're looking to be offended, you'll find it.
  10. Thank you! Geez, people can't wait to jump on other people and call them racist, sexist, homophobic. Look at Patricia Arquette's comments in the press room after the Oscars. Everyone was with her during her speech. Then the PC police couldn't wait to jump on her for not understanding what "intersection" is. I'm pretty sure Patricia Arquette understands what intersection is. Don't parse every little word. And Kathy Griffin loves to point fingers, so where is she in all this? I'm pretty sure it was her that made the weed comment first.
  11. Why oh why are so many of them picking the same tired songs, geez! I sped-watched this because I just cannot with freakin' Michael Bolton, etc. And I'm 50, people! Do the 12-year-old girls they focus on in the audience want to hear that? Not much stood out for me except for Quentin and Daniel. Could two human beings be more different? I think Quentin is a star, but I don't know if he's an American Idol, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Daniel - I just want to smack that smile off of his face.
  12. I'll buy the "Suck it, Allah" t-shirt. Oh, wait, we don't go there, do we? That's not PC.
  13. This is the first time I've watched Fashion Police in ages. I just could not stand Joan Rivers' stupid jokes. I am really liking this panel and will definitely tune in again. I think Giuliana's Zendaya comment will actually turn out to work in her favor by giving the show some publicity.
  14. I haven't read the whole RS article yet, but it reminded me of my biggest unanswered question from the show: Was the suicide note ever confirmed to be in Bethany's handwriting?
  15. I thought it was very interesting that Bethany's father believes she committed suicide. I think she did too. I think she was absolutely devastated by how her marriage turned out. I would be surprised if she felt like she had anyone she could confide in either. That's a recipe for disaster. To me, the police officers seem to have tunnel vision. No denying Tyler is super creepy, but that doesn't make him a murderer. Off to read the Rolling Stone article.
  16. Armando Suave - snort. All the ranting about the "signature swirl" had me googling DC Cupcakes. Those loons used to rave about their signature swirl too. Looks like theirs is more of a double swirl and not a triple swirl. Whoo, crisis averted. Are wooden cupcakes really a thing?
  17. Re Veronica, if you go to the link for the fb page of Armando's girlfriend's mom that was posted earlier, the girlfriend and Veronica are friends, but she goes by Veronica, some middle name I can't remember, and initial M instead of a last name - https://www.facebook.com/veromonique?fref=ufi&pnref=story ETA: I put in the link to make it easier. I'll get back to work now :)
  18. LDS, not FLDS. She's joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (or the Mormons). They call themselves LDS, not Mormon.
  19. Poor kid's name is Titan. I predict many dollars spent on therapy visits for this poor kid.
  20. I remembered Armando from his douche bag ways on the flipping show, and I knew the minute I saw him, he had ascended to even greater heights of douchiness. Oh, that hair. I hope his ex made out well in the divorce. I feel somewhat for the people he scams, but I just can't understand someone laying out 46K to get to and attend one of his three-day seminars. They could have bought their first flip for that. No common sense.
  21. With all the latest news about the divorce and marriage, that puts Christine's meltdown about Ken in a different light for me. Wonder if all this was going on when Ken made his comment about keeping one wife and leaving the rest.
  22. It made my local newscast this morning (major metropolitan city). I was very shocked.
  23. I wondered about the dog too, JudyObscure. I thought it was a big dog too, a lab or something. Odd.
  24. I loved that they played "Rave On" after Rayvon won.
