Abuse to Robyn may have consisted of David Preston ranting..."buying jeans and pj's at Victoria's Secret??? WTF are you doing, we could not even afford a crib for the babies".

Dawn comes about every 24 hours. In Meri's case, it took 24 years. Better late than never.

Is there more than one picture? I see Janelle's 6 kids with spouses/girlfriend plus the 3 grandkids.

S18.E22: Look Back: How It's Going (Special Episode)
Sandy W replied to Scarlett45's topic in Sister Wives
In my best Jack Nicholson voice...Meri Can't Handle the Truth. Her ego would not permit her to acknowledge that she had been outright duped twice. First by cf then by Robyn. Doesn't matter how naive she was, basic human instinct would have told her something was amiss. She chose to ignore that as she has difficulty admitting she is wrong about anything. -
Aside from sharing the father of their children, I see nothing that the 3 OG's have in common. I recall one incident where Meri and Christine appeared to be having a grand old time scampering about in a park. Other than that, Meri came across to me as a dragon lady to Janelle and Christine. Nothing to reignite as there was never a spark in their relationship as far as I could see.

That reads to me as though she had a second middle name. Her maiden name would have been Meri Caroline Davenport Barber.

Amenities such as a pool, elevator, dining room/coffee shop don't hurt either. Plus, you don't have to make mindless chitchat with a stranger over breakfast. I have stayed at a few BnB's and always with a sense of discomfort. They are not as soundproof as a hotel/motel and even watching TV made me concerned I may be disturbing others.

As I recall, before rice krispie treats, Meri tried selling cinnamon buns. Probably motivated by positive response to some that her BnB cook had made. That would not have endeared her to the locals as it was the claim to fame of the diner in town. Meri put her thinking cap on, came up with rice krispie treats and the rest is history.

Next life I will be a cleaning lady. 2 independent persons $50. per hour each, cash under the table. They use a Swiffer on the floors and don't touch windows or venetian blinds. Cleaning services want $150. per person.

S18.E19: Sister Wives: Talk Back Part 1 (Special Episode)
Sandy W replied to General Days's topic in Sister Wives
Meri may have found an ideal person then if she had been more realistic in assessing what was going on with "Sam". Did she really think a younger, handsome, multi millionaire was madly in love with her and ready to swoop her off to a life of luxury? Come On!!! What did she think she was bringing to the table? Her intellect? Her status as a trophy wife? Her ability to interact with "Sam's" international business associates? Her wit and charm? The whole saga read like a cheap bodice- ripper romance novel and Meri's ego was along for the ride. -
S18.E20: Sister Wives Look Back (Special Episode)
Sandy W replied to altopower's topic in Sister Wives
Just as irritating to me as hearing them drop the g's as in goin(g), comin(g). Old school here, but teachers would have rapped our knuckles for this sloppy diction. The only thing I can surmise is that this is acceptable regionally and the teachers were raised locally and it sounds fine to them -

I have always assumed that the Robyn/Preston divorce was final when the encounter with Kody and or Meri occured. Didn't Robyn's mom instruct her to get her scent out there? -
Davenport is another name for sofa/couch/chesterfield. Could this be an allusion to Meri sitting on her duff oblivious to her marriage collapsing around her for those many years?

Not only rude and disrespectful of his sons, just think how the girlfriends and their respective families felt about such boorish crassness.

So glad you took the initiative to check for yourself. I have found the Pharmacists often are more up to date than Physicians even on otc meds. -
Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Sandy W replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Gabe ranked in the top 10 people academically for his entire school, not just his grade level. He was also in line to become captain of the wrestling team his next school year. Probably putting him in line for an academic as well as athletic scholarships for college or university. Janelle initially dug in her heels and firmly said she would not ask Gabe to give this up. Kody must have showed up at her house in a ponytail and tight shirt and pants and Janelle's resolve fell by the wayside. -
It must be my screen, it shows a distinct difference of color evenly showing right below the part of her hair.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Sandy W replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
It would have been heartwarming if she had managed to express her feelings about that being the final straw when she made her patio announcement. Instead of Kody ranting about a knife in his kidney, Christine could have justifiably brought up the knife in Ysabel's back. -
Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore

We saw where their priorities lay when Janelle bypassed Gabe's accomplishments in LV highschool after vowing that she would not and Christine wasn't motivated to leave after Kody's atrocious treatment of Ysabel re surgery. -
The low part seems to expose a section the colorist missed. Not a fan of the messy "just tumbled out of bed" look. Also, her "I've got a secret" expression irritates me but then, nearly everything she does bugs me. Not that she cares about how I feel though.

I think the implication came about when they tried to get bio dad to pay all or part of medical expenses.

Over on the Robyn thread, Ginger quoted the chapters from their book when she personifies her shy, demure self as this superheroine.

Her Alter Ego.

Whatever message she is sending, she will no doubt be using his stubby pencil to write it out.
