  1. Thanks for posting this. Love it! My eyes go straight to Jenna and Holly. Jenna, because I actually think she looks the best and doesn't need to do all of the mugging for the camera, and my eyes are drawn to Holly because of her mugging for the camera lol. She just does too much for me. I wish Cersten was visible in this.
  2. Agreed on Megan. I liked her a lot, and while I at least appreciated that K&J didn't string her along only to cut her at the end for body type, the whole "thutt" thing was compleyely rude and unnecessary. Also, I thought Vivian looked fine in the uniform both years that she tried out. I would've put her on the team the first year. The second year however, everything (her "fame") had clearly gone to her head.
  3. This is referring to Katy Marie right who made it during season 6 (I hated when they used their middle names for a few years)? If so, I completely agree. I've always thought she was gorgeous. I also think Simone is one of the prettiest girls on the current squad. Others who I think are stunning but never seemed to get the Abigail, Kat Dunn, Kelsey (current DCC Kelsey) treatment are Mary, Nicole Bulcher, and Jessica Allison. Same with Jacie, who I just thought had a presence that many of the others lacked.
  4. Since all of my unpopular opinions in my first post were negative, I'll go with a somewhat positive one. I've never thought Cassie being on the team was a big deal. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not a Cassie fan (the Taylor incident really annoyed me), and I thought she was an average dancer at best, but I never got worked up about her making it. I doubt she's the only one who benefited from having connections, and at least with the DCCs, they don't have a set number of girls that they have to take, so I don't see this as a case where another girl lost out just because of her. Also, I was perfectly fine with Cassie making it her 5th year when she was injured, and it doesn't bother me that a girl who was new would not have made it under the same circumstances. It's a slippery slope, but I do think seniority should count for something if you been a good team member in the past. Her injury appeared to be the reason why her tryout was especially poor that year, and I think thats different than a girl coming back out of shape or just having a bad tryout for no apparent reason (ex: Jasmine). I felt the same way about Danielle and was glad that Kelli added her when she had a poor tryout after injuring her foot.
  5. My unpopular opinion: I'm not a huge fan of Holly P's dancing. It's not that I don't think she's talented, but she's not even in my top 5 of favorite dancers on the team. I never thought Kelsey was attractive. Same Alyssa. I actually think Ashton is the more attractive sister (and certainly better dancer as well) Also, I never understood why Holly (blond Holly), was the point girl last season. Her dancing was perfectly fine, but nothing special to me. ETA: I'm referring to the Kelsey who made it in season 7. I do think current DCC Kelsey is beautiful.
  6. I actually thought Hannah's weight gain was pretty bad and very obvious, and I liked Hannah. It looked like she gained all of her weight in her midsection, which is just a killer in the uniform. Megan may overall be bigger than Hannah was when she got cut, but Hannah may have gained more than Megan did relative to her tryout weight. Kelli also seemed to have other issues with Hannah. She just seemed completely over her. With that said, K&J definitely have different standards for different girls.
  7. Yeah, and it may have even been lower than that. For some reason, I think it may have been in the 90s. I remember being stunned at the weight that Kelli said. I'm tiny like Courtney/Jenna (even a tad shorter), and I'm typically around 110 pounds or so, but when I was down to 98 pounds in law school, I started to look like a lollipop as well, and size 0s and 00s were often too big. It simply was not a sustainable weight. As for Megan, at her height, even being around 130 seems unhealthy to me, but I don't know, I've never been tall. ETA: I tried to go back and watch to be sure what weight she said, but CMT's website is weird now. Do they not have each episode available anymore, all I see are random episodes from each season.
  8. Meredith Oden, IIRC, got away with being heavier than many other DCCs for many years, so I don't think it's a first time that one of the favorites has gotten away with it. It's possible that Megan has received many weight warnings, and we just havent seen them.
  9. Speaking of Madeline and Holly, Michelle Keys posted an instagram video of those 2 and Jenna dancing a hip hop routine a few days ago (can't link to it right now) but all 3 looked good. I also think the hair change helped Madeline. That may sound shallow and silly, but sometimes a new (and much improved in her case) hairdo can do wonders for confidence. The brown curls/waves are SO much better than that awful goth look that she had last year.
  10. What bothered me the most about that incident isn't even what Cassie said, but from what I remember, she sat there with "I really don't want to say this, but I have something to say look" look that obviously intended to get Judy to ask her what was wrong. Odd that thats what bothered me, but it just seemed so childish. You're a group leader. If a girl is bragging about not practicing and then screwing up (or whatever it was), stand up and say it. I may have respected that, but the whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. Ally's "just say 'yes ma'am" was even more annoying.
  11. How old is Holly? If she is still one of the younger ones on the team, I could see them thinking that one of the older girls with more experience on dance teams would be a better group leader, though I think she will at least be a second. Amy T seems like a likely choice to me, or Megan. I could definitely see Mandy being a group leader in the future (of course, I predicted that Hannah would be a point girl one day, so I'm don't have the best track record on predicting DCC stuff lol).
  12. Yes, Maddie is killing it in that video. She annoyed me her first year with all of the crying, but she's one of my faves now. She's set the standard for coming back stronger the second year. Question: Is the tall brunette in the back on the left side Tess? I feel like i can never tell her apart from the other girls. Also, I can't decide if I prefer the lighter hair or the darker hair on Milan.
  13. At least they're group leaders however. I think it was Melissa Kellerman who was a 5th year, yet not a first or second group leader. Maybe she didn't want to be one, but otherwise, that had to suck (in the words of Cassie lol).
  14. What type of interviews are these girls doing regularly? The way it gets talked about, you would think Jenn was the White House Press Secretary, fielding questions on loaded issues like politics and world affairs every day. I don't live in Dallas, so I don't see what the local interviews are like, but the few that I have seen with her are pretty standard stuff. I can't imagine that K&J would send Jenn to PBC based off of a belief that she is the only who can handle a basic interview without blanking out or saying something completely stupid, and if she is, well that's kind of embarrassing for the DCC. Someone mentioned earlier how it was strange that Kelli disliked Ashley Paige for being super-programmed but loves Jenn (who is a superior dancer of course), and I agree that it's strange. I don't even mean this in a negative way on the Ashley or Jenn. It's not a bad thing to be reliable in pylon settings, and I would've picked Ashley Paige over Morgan or Kaitlin that year, but Kelli's seemingly personal dislike for her was always odd to me given that she seems to like the same qualities in others.
  15. I think Danielle has just become a fan favorite over time. That wasn't always the case from what I remember, at least online. She wasn't disliked or anything, but I don't remember all that much love for her on TWOP, though I've always liked her and thought she was underrated as a dancer. Seniority and likeabllity aside, there's really nothing about Danielle that screams "pro bowl" to me. Jenn is a better dancer IMO, and of the 5 year girls, Jenna is clearly the best dancer of those 3, not to mention Lacey, Erica, and Melissa. So while I love Danielle, and would've liked her to get it (and I think Jenn is utterly boring), I'm not quite on the "wuz robbed" train. I do love the twitter shade though!
  16. Erica is the class after Jennifer. Jinelle is the only other one left from her year. From what I remember, Jenn was one of the top rookies from her year, along with Hannah and Samantha.
  17. Was there not a video of the PBC announcement this year? Given the shade coming from these tweets, I'm dying to see the girls' reactions in real time lol!
  18. As someone els said, Nicole Bulcher was surprising. I also was somewhat surprised that Mia did not get it the year that she was the point girl. Otherwise, it's been predictable. Assuming Jenn does retire this year, next year will be one of the first years in a while where the point girl will not be obvious. Holly could get it (where is she in the formation now?) but Melissa, Erica, and Lacey, should they return, are all more senior than her and are excellent dancers. Who knows what Jenna will do. She's still very young, and she seems to live for DCC, so she may return or maybe she'll do like Sydney and try out for an NBA team.
  19. Agreed. Nothing against Jenn personally, but this pick is so predictable that I just have to roll my eyes. Jenn has had a more rapid ascent in the DCC than anyone else I can think of, and I don't fully get it. I mean, she's pretty enough, and certainly a great dancer, but so are many of the other girls. I think all 3 of the 5-year girls are strong dancers, pretty, and far more interesting than her. I honestly would've even preferred Erica, Melissa, or Lacey. Again, Jenn isn't undeserving or anything like that, but there's just a Teacher's Pet vibe to her.
  20. Maybe I'm just in a good mood for the holidays but Jenna's comment as described doesn't annoy me all that much. I haven't watched the video, and they may have been at hospital that specializes in certain serious/deadly/non-curable conditions, but at a general childrens hospital, there are kids there may well be recovering from things like appendicitis, car wrecks, athletic injuries, who Jenna probably could relate too. Hell, I have a family member who nearly died and was in the hospital for months due to his appendix completely rupturing, so I don't know. Tone death perhaps but seems harmless enough.
  21. I think it's fine - been to one in Nashville and Atlanta , but it's a chain. Most people, I assume, don't name a chain restaurant when they're asked for their favorite [insert city] restaurant, unless the chain started in their city and is famous for it. With that said, I don't know where Maggianos first location was.
  22. Agreed with the comment that Raylee is gorgeous - at the very least, she is very photogenic. The blue is very pretty on Tasha, and the side part in her hair alone makes Tasha look better IMO. Really, I'm just don't like middle parts except on certain people with a certain type of forehead, but the DCC seem to love them. I have no idea what Jenna was thinking, and I like Jenna a lot, but no! The dress and the jewelry are all bad. I really like Danielle's look and Erica's look as well. I think Lacey is pretty, but I'll never be able to look at her and not see Farrah Abraham lol. Someone pointed out the resemblance on here (or may have still been TWOP - can't remember), and I have never been able to get that out of my head when I see her.
  23. That is a stunning picture of Simone that was posted earlier. I also could see Holly being point next year, either her Jenna, Erica, or Melissa. Speaking of Jenna, she is such a fun performer to me. She is probably my favorite on the team.

The Yuko situation is just strange. I don't dislike her, but she definitely got special treatment that her dance ability doesn't seem to warrant. She's good but not that much better than the other girls. I felt awful for Amy and Kyndall. I understood Amy's cut as she seemed to struggle all year, but I didn't really understand the issue with Kyndall as much, although she was certainly messy on the field. Both handled their exits with grace however. I do wonder if Jessika and Kyndall still live together...Awkward! I don't mind Tasha leaving her kid since I think (and I could be wrong), her daughter and husband ended up moving to Dallas. Now, if the daughter is still in Utah, that's different, but training camp seems like its 6 or 8 weeks, mostly during the summer - I grew up with kids who went to camp for four to six weeks during the summer. I mean, it just doesn't seem like her attending training camp is something that harmed her daughter, and it's one of those things where I'm not sure that a man/husband would get criticized for, so it doesn't really bother me. The whole "I was homesick" spiel was a bit annoying however, since it was a choice. Love Kelsey. She's not the best dancer, but I like her attitude, and she seems like someone who would be fun to hang around. I always hate how they act like making minor formation and entrance changes could derail a show group performance. Give me a break! These girls have been dancing forever. It's not that big of a deal.
  25. I liked Yuko during the one-on-one with Melissa, but I'm wondering if Yuko is doing anything other than dancing. I wish we knew more about her situation. Bethany is very lucky that she didn't hurt Kyndall or the girl on the other side of her when she threw her jump split too early. They both landed really awkwardly on leg. She seems like a nice girl, but she definitely wasn't right for the team. It's clear that Emily's days are numbered. Other than saying that she's beautiful, I can't think of any positive comments that she has received. I also don't believe that she has ballet training or any extensive dance training. Of course, everyone who has dance training is not good at turns, but she looked completely lost during the lyrical routine. I agree with whoever said that Melissa's back handsprings were awful - undercut, bent arms, bent legs, etc.
