Hannah didn't bother me, but I laughed out loud at this post. I definitely agree that she sounded dumb and may have made the situation worse by the way she acted in Kelli's office, but I definitely missed the side-shuffle lol. Gotta go back and watch for that!

Im not sure what Melissa does, but I definitely don't mean to imply that none of the DCCs have "real" jobs or that it's impossible. Teaching is definitely a "real" job, and there have been DCCs who were teachers. It just seems like it would be difficult in many 8 to 5 jobs (many of which where it is expected that you will stay late or work weekends if necessary) to maintain your work load while also being a DCC. K&J act like DCC should be priority #1, yet that won't fly with many companies if you're a full time employee. The Kyndall situation comes to mind.

Yeah agreed. I do think there is a big difference in age too. For girls like Jenna who made the team right out of high school, staying on for many years makes sense, as I'm sure DCC is very compatible with being an undergrad. However, for girls who are done with college and have aspirations for careers in fields that require full time hours each day, there's only so many years that you can work in retail or as a fitness instructor (in order to be a DCC) before your chances to transition to your chosen field start to become diminished. To be honest, Im surprised that some of these girls manage to be teachers and DCCs at the same time. My mother was a teacher and spent many nights working on lessen plans or at meetings or school productions.

Wait, Robin is retiring too? Is this just speculation or do we have insider information on her.

Didn't Megan dance at Arizona? I think she has ties there, but I'm also curious as to what she will be doing, assuming the retirement rumors are true.

Agreed, and from the team perspective, I also think it makes the Yuko situation all the more perplexing. In the past, K&J acted like it was unheard of for girls to miss training camp, but they acted no big deal that Yuko missed some of training camp. I get that it was due to visa issues, but still...

I wouldn't be shocked to see Melissa retire. She seems like someone who has job aspirations that would not be compatible with a DCC schedule for too long. If she does retire, are Lacey and Erica the only remaining girls from that rookie year? I'm not sure whether that class and Jenn K's class has had more turnover than other rookie classes or if they were just smaller classes to begin with.

I would be happy to see her there, but all I really care about is dancing. I couldn't care less about selfies or a fling with a football player- the girl can dance and usually doesn't overdo it (that's my only gripe with Holly P - so extra lol). I also would be happy with Erica as point. She always brings it and is gorgeous. Melissa doesn't stand out as much to me, but I would be fine with her as well. Perhaps this should go in the Unpopular Opinions thread, but since the video was posted in this thread, I'll put it here. I think Stephanie was completed out-danced by Cersten and Erica in that video upthread. If I hadn't read the names of the girls in the video, I would've thought she was some random girl at a prep class and not a DCC. That's not the DCC style, so it's not a big deal, but I don't find her impressive at all in that video.

I remember Bess because she's the one who lived with Maddie during the first year they were training camp. The show featured them in one episode. Of course, they introduced her as Elizabeth, and it took me like a year to know that Bess and Elizabeth was the same person. Also, I remember Tess because she was one of the one who Kitty made do that weird heel-toe walk during training camp.

Yeah, I like Simone, and I think she is absolutely stunning, but power and projection are not words that I would usually associate with her. She's good enough to be on the team and doesn't stick out in a bad way, but I wouldn't expect to see her on show team or to ever be towards the front of the triangle.

Yeah, I appreciate the insider info, especially during training camp. Now, I take the "so and so is a mean girl" takes with a grain of salt because that's kind of in the eye of the beholder. While some people are just awful people, I've known girls who had the rep of being sweet, who I thought were total snakes in the grass, and of course, it goes the other way as well, with the "mean girls" actually not being so mean after all. Regardless, I would rather have the insider info than not.

I find it really hard to believe that if the Dak fling were such a big deal that Jenna wouldn't be taken back next year, that K&J would not tell Jenna that she shouldn't try out again. I actually think that would reflect poorly on K&J - if it's that big of a deal, then the punishment (and I don't just mean not getting to rotate into point anymore) should have taken place already. I mean, she still had a plum position in the triangle, never missed a gam, remained a group leader, remained on show group, and never seemed to stop going on appearances. Perhaps K&J thought that taking any of those moves would've been too disruptive, but if that's the case, a simple "Jenna, you've had a good run, but time to hang up the poms" conversation would suffice lol. With that said, I think K&J would be happy that one of their best dancers and a 6 year vet is returning to what will be a pretty young/inexperienced team next year. That doesn't mean she or any of the senior vets can flaunt the rules, but if its just one infraction and not a series of them (or a "we're in a serious relationship and not breaking up any time soon" situation like Paige), it doesn't surprise me that they would overlook it.

Yeah, same. I thought point would be Erica or Melissa, but I would assume Jenna at this point with Melissa and Erica rounding out the triangle. It would make sense based on where they were are in the formation this season. I also think those 3 fit each other in terms of height and offer 3 different looks.

Tina Kalina's comment about Chandler was definitely uncalled for, but I honestly thought that she did look old at times.

Speaking of low kicks, didn't Ashley (from season 8) have embarrassingly low kicks during tryouts? I think Judy pointed it out when she was on the big screen, but I don't think they ever mentioned it again during training camp. I also agree that I didn't understand Kali's cut. She looked a little soft, but nothing major. I don't think Kelli and Judy were the ones fighting against her, and frankly I think they should have more clout anyway since they're the ones with the team all year.

Good to know. I always thought I was crazy because I've just never thought that she was so much prettier than everyone else where, for example, she should be taken into training camp when her dancing was mediocre at best.

Yeah, I don't actively dislike her or anything, but nothing about her stands to me, other than the fact that she often times looks like she's trying really hard. By trying hard, I mean to actually do the dance moves. It just doesn't look like it comes easy for her. This is probably a really unpopular opinion, but I don't think Kat Dunn is the most beautiful girl ever, like she was portrayed by some of the judges on the show. She's pretty for sure and definitely glamorous, but I've never thought she was that much prettier than everyone else.

I don't dislike Tasha as much as many others do on here - probably because outside of checking some of the girls social media every now and then for dance videos, I don't follow any of them on instagram, twitter, etc so I'm not as exposed to that as others on here. So, I'll take everyone else's word for it on how Tasha comes across online. However, in fairness to her, she is actually a good dancer who can remember choreography. So I would not put her in the same category as Morgan, who IMO is one of the weakest dancers who has made the team since the show started. I assume she made it because she can dance and she's pretty. I don't think it went any further than that.

I'm very lukewarm on Caila. In all the videos posted, I never think she's the worst one there, but I never think she's the best one either. If she shows up, I'll definitely root for her to make it back to training camp, but if she doesn't, I won't miss her.

I don't like Jenna's hair color at all. I think she could probably carry a blondish color, but it just looks gray. There's also something Holly-ish about her dancing in that video. I usually find her to be one of the more natural dancers, but she's just doing too much in that clip. I been a Cersten fan since they posted the fan videos from tryouts and she was basically the ONLY one who looked like she knew what she was doing.

Isn't Cassie's or Whitney's son named Cannon or Bullet, or something similar? I would put that in the running with Lux, but hey, each to her own lol.

Am I completely blanking out or were there not any real problem girls who made it from this year's rookie class? In the past, people like Kat and Ashley Pro were already on the radar (on this board) for potential cuts, and Caila and Breelan for weight and partying (in Calia's case). I guess Kelsey comes the closest as someone who was called into the office multiple times, but I can't think of anyone else who made it after really struggling through training camp. Some issues may have arisen through the year, including whatever happened with Selina, but it would be nice to see all of the veterans make it back for once.

Yeah, I could see her retiring due to the injury. Jinelle and Melissa (if she is trying to go to medical school, which I think was stated last year) are two others who I could see retiring. Assuming that Jinelle does retire (and Jenna doesn't decide to return), I think next season would be the first year in a while without any 5 year vets?

This was posted on Jenna's instagram a few weeks back. She could have changed her mind, and this was posted just after the pro bowl announcement, so that could've had an effect at the time. As for Jenn K, I was going by what was posted by a poster on the last page - that Jenn K said that she was retiring. I haven't personally seen it (or looked for it) on her social media account.

So at this point, the confirmed retirees are Jenn K, Danielle, Jessica, and Jenna, right? Are we missing anyone?
