Has anyone seen Kelsey in the pictures? I didn't see her either, but I could have missed her. It seemed like all of the vets were supposed to go I 100% agree with this. I can't remember being less excited about a new season than this year. Obviously, I'll still watch for sure but i feel like I know nothing about the rookie candidates.

Ooooh! Interesting. I don't see Holly or Jenna at all - or Jinelle, but she could be behind Lacey. Looks like there are 2 or vets who cannot be seen on that side of the formation. This actually doesn't look like 36 girls, but I can't tell how tight they are in the back. What's most shocking is how few senior vets there are on the team this year. I already knew that but its glaring here with no Jenna, Erica, or Jinelle in sight.

The Holly mistake that I noticed is around 1:19 (in the first video posted, not the either of the two posted on the DCC twitter page). I didn't notice anything else, but I do agree with the comment earlier that she almost seemed like she was marking the dance at points.

Agreed. Like WTF! I get these girls all sign releases, but what's the purpose of this video. Some of the clips are from the year before last, I believe. Kinda cruel IMO.

I actually like the Kashara, Jenna, Lacey triangle. It's a bit odd with Lacey's height (Erica probably makes more sense in that position if she gets healthy), but I think Lacey deserves to be in the triangle, so I wouldn't want them to move back her into the formation. They could swap her and Jenna, but I also think Jenna deserves to be point, not due to seniority but due to dance. She is killing it and always pops! As for Kashara, she's a strong performer, and I imagine that they wanted a blonde in the triangle, and she is the most senior. The other 2 blondes on show group are Kelly and Maggie right?

Military and dignitaries...no, but he's an engineer/project manager. He goes to events and dinners with contractors all of the time, so I think there is an expectation for him to be well-versed in what's going on in the world. I'm an attorney, and I meet with clients and go to events all of the time where current events are discussed, so there's also an expectation. Lots of people have jobs where they are expected to be able to hold a conversation with other professionals. I don't find the DCC requirements to informed to be all that unusual. Regardless, my point wasn't to make an excuse for Tasha. Sean Spicer has been in the news enough where she should probably know his name. However, my point was more so that not knowing the name of someone does not necessarily equal that person being a clueless idiot. I follow politics, so I probably know the names of most senior white house aides, but while I also follow most of the main sports in the US, if you started throwing around names of people, I may not know who that person is offhand without some context. Yet, my husband would definitely know.. The good thing is that, in my experience, conversations with people at dinners are rarely a Q&A where you're asked, "do you know who so and so is?" If it was, lots of otherwise smart people would come off looking stupid.

While Tasha should know who Sean Spicer is, I don't find this answer to be anywhere near as bad as not knowing who the candidates for president or some of the more silly answers. It's possible that Tasha is familiar with the SNL skits, "alternative facts", and would recognize his face on tv, but just didn't know the name. I'm not saying it's acceptable by any means, just that she may not be totally clueless as to current events. My husband rolls his eyes anytime he sees KellyAnne Conway giving an interview, but if you asked him "what do you think of kellyanne Conway," he would look st you funny and say "who?" Lol! He knows what's going on but doesn't know all of these folks by name.

As much as I like Erica and would be happy for her to be point, I actually don't think she's the biggest standout in DCC choreography. In solo work, absolutely, but in the few videos of the team actually doing choreo, she didn't really grab my attention (not that I'm the deciding factor by any means lol). Im not saying that she looked bad because she looked great. She just wasn't the one who I gravitated to like I used to with Mia, for example. Ive only seen one or 2 clips with Lacey, but in the one I'm remembering (pre-game dance), I couldn't stop watching Amy, though I'm not sure Amy is glam enough for point. As thirsty as Holly or Jenna may be, they always pop in DCC choreography.

It's definitely that the style didn't fit Vivian IMO. Outside of the fact that the style was off, she was attempting tricks that she clearly couldn't do. It was just bad lol. Different question though- would Erica's solo from this year (the one posted on DCC's page) be considered a lyrical dance? I thought it would be jazz, but I strictly did ballet and gymnastics before switching to cheer in high school, so I may be getting it all confused.

I always thought Khalyn was tall, but she definitely does not appear to be in that picture.

I feel the same. I don't mind her on the show, but I don't really feel like she adds anything. I do feel like she kind of plays favorites a bit, but again, its whatever. She's just kind of there IMO.

Agreed on everything. I am curious to see what Holly does next. While I think she's an amazing dancer, I'm not quite as convinced as some people (not referring to anyone specifically, just general sentiment that I've read from time to tie) that she could just head to NY and prance into a Broadway dancing role or some other big time dancing job. Perhaps she could. I would root for her definitely, but similar to SYTYCD, there are a ton of great dancers out there. I can't speak for everyone, as I'm sure for some girls, DCC is their dream and they have no urge to move across the country, but at least from the dancers that I knew in college and high school, the ones who were good enough to be dancing in NYC/Vegas/Disney (many are part unions), actually did or are still doing that.

Not to get off topic but this is really interesting because I've always heard the opposite - that English is notoriously difficult for non-native speakers to learn. I'll take your word for it though. Probably my biggest regret from school is that I never took my foreign language classes seriously enough. It was just to get my course credit - real mistake in hindsight IMO.

Question regarding dances: do they learn the same dances each training camp and then just add on new ones as new songs get added to the playlist? Just curious. When I attended a game a couple of years ago, for the sideline dances, which often were quite short during time outs and stoppages, etc, the 4 groups were not always doing the same dances to the same songs (which is similar to how we did sidelines back many years ago when I was in high school -captain chose what sideline dance based on what the band played), but during the episodes, J&K have acted like specific songs go with specific dances. It may be a difference between sidelines and quarter change dances, but I'm curious. Hopefully that all made sense!

Yeah, I think Holly is in great shape. I think she often looks much older and harder than she is, but no doubt, the girl has sex appeal and has really toned up but not in a bad or extreme way. I would much rather see a flat, toned stomach like Holly has than some 6 pack abs. Now, I fully acknowledge that I may just be being a bIt salty. I like to run, which keeps me in decent shape, but sit-ups/crunches....I get tired of after doing 25 and then I just end up laying on the floor for a while lol. The 6 pack abs are never happening for me.

Agreed. I don't think it's out of the ordinary for many competitive job. When I was in law school, some law firms would have socials or cocktail hours over Christmas break or at other times during the year and would invite law school students. It wasn't mandatory to attend. Obviously, if you had the grades, resume, and the personality to stand out in interviews, you could definitely still get a summer associate position, but everyone ww advised to go and get their name and face out ahead of time. It's just the way it works. Now, I could absolutely be wrong, but it seems from some of the posts here, that the Dallas dance scene seems tight (I don't mean small in the number of dancers) so the more you can get your name out there and meet former DCCs, the better IMO. If I were trying out and had the time/ability, I would definitely be at the prep classes.

Kelsey......wow!!! She is SO photogenic!!!! Not a huge fan of the pics of Kelli/Holly honestly but they're still better than past years IMO. Chantal and Jenna's pic (in pic in black bathing suit) are also great IMO. Jenna was always a pretty girl IMO, but I definitely think she's shed the little girl look that she had. In general, the pics being released now are SO much better than the ones we saw a couple of months ago.

Agreed. Tasha's pic is great (I mean, damn!) but screams SI to me, which they may be going for, but I don't know. I like them all, but I also think Jenna and Lacey look the best in these pics. Maggie's pic is probably my least favorite, while I really like Robin's pic, but it seems more cute and playful than sexy - which of course, they may be going for that vibe as well.

As long as the player is passing his drug tests, I don't see why this would be scandalous..... I don't think it's a shock to anyone that some players smoke weed

Perhaps that's right. I honestly don't know, but if anything, they just seemed like they were just over Chelsea, and she was a weak dancer on top of making some ill-timed sarcastic comments. Holly is one of their best and a fan favorite. Same with Jenna. I can believe that they gave her a "punishment" and moved on because she is a favorite and a strong dancer. I'm not suggesting that someone like Holly could get away with anything, but Kelli seems like an "appearances" person to me, and none of this seemed to cause a PR problem.

Would they cut her though if the information was not public? I actually don't find it hard to believe at all that they would accept her apology and give her some punishment and then move on. What she is accused of is not all that shocking in terms of behavior for people her age or even much older. Now if she got arrested or the information became public, then sure, I think they would cut her, but otherwise, not so sure. Again, I don't know the story and im not claiming that Holly did anything wrong, but I don't buy into the good girl image that Kelli so desperately wants us to buy that none of the girls have ever slept with a player or smoked weed.

Honestly Courtney seemed like a prime example of someone who was going to gain much of her weight back pretty quickly. I would love to know if she was one of the ones who fluctuated through the year. While I don't believe that Kelli wants the girls to do anything dangerous, I don't really buy that she's that concerned with how the girls lose weight, just that they do so and look good in the uniform. Im not calling her evil or bashing her for that either because from the people who I know who work or have worked in the dance industry and similar fields, that's the way it goes. The girls know going in that the DCCs have a tiny uniforms. It is what it is. With that said, Im not going to pretend like losing a ton of weight in a short time span (likely with quick fixes) is healthy or sustainable.

Exactly. I'm similar in height to Allie, probably a bit shorter and I have a smaller frame than her, but losing 10 pounds would be a feat, especially in a short amount of time. I lost 20 pounds once (went from around 120 to 100), but that took months and was not at all healthy. I was only eating like 1000 calories a day and working out a lot. My doctor was sounding the alarm, so I cannot imagine her losing 10 pounds in a really short amount of time and being healthy.

Yeah...that's not good, and I thought I was throwing Yuko a lifeline by suggesting that she may be better in actual DCC choreo lol. This is just one clip and apparently in freezing weather at that, but she really fades here. I don't know who decided to put her right behind Jenna (i'm guessing it was due to height), but that's a bad contrast for Yuko. I then compared her only to Milan, and again I thought Yuko paled in comparison. She seems like a nice, pleasant person however, so hopefully she can get some pop. ETA: I just read the part about Kelli telling Allie to lose 10 pounds asap. I'm curious as to what Kelli's definition of ASAP is because that's a lot of weight to lose in a short amount of time if you're doing it in a safe way.
