Agreed about all of those dancers being great, but I don't know about the last sentence lol. While I think lots of the criticism (especially Megan) was way over the top, one can think that and express that a girl is an excellent dancer and still think that she is annoying or has weight issues. I didn't like Allie at all back in season 6 (now SHE seemed like a snitch), but I thought she was a powerful dancer. The more I see of this team and the rookies, I do think team is weaker than the season 6 team, which I've thought was the weakest to date (of the CMT years). That team still had Allie, Ashton, Whitney, Britney, Mia, Jackie, etc. I don't think this team has anywhere near the standouts. Kashara is point, and I don't think she would've even been considered a top 10 dancer on the team last year. This isn't to bash her. I like her, and it's not her fault that she had to step up because other teammates screwed up, but it is what it is. Hopefully next year, they won't cut some vets for no apparent reason or decline to take girls who can dance and kick for girls like Brianna, who clearly don't have it.

Christina is in Group 2

Lacey and Robin look great, but I don't care for the blonde on Lacey's left at all in this. I think it's Kelli though, anf I usually think she is great. Not sure what it is about this dance (which I like and think it's a big step up from their typical choreo), but I feel like certain girls just look stiff, now that they're in smaller groups and people are more visible.

Kelsey R. was dating a player from another team several years ago. I remember him running to the sideline and giving her the ball after scoring a touchdown or something like that. ETA: Here's the video.

I think Kalyssa mentioned that she started a new job in the last episode. Anyone know what she's doing now? -
The sixth girl from the end appears to be leaning back, and her kick looks lower than Christina's. Just a mess.

Oh man..... Cmon Christina! This is kind of getting embarrassing. Let's do better! Agreed. While I can totally see Jenna being the type to pick up habits (bad and good) and act like whoever her bestie or boyfriend is at the time (I'm sure we all know people like that), anything she does is still on her. She's an adult. Same for Holly and anyone else. Hopefully, through this very public ordeal, Jenna has gotten the message that this little thirsty, rule-breaking phase ain't working for her. I mean, she keeps getting caught lol! I will say that while she shouldn't have gotten trouble in the first place, I give her credit for appearing to take her punishment like an adult, which is more than I can say for her partner in crime.

Yeah, and it seems like a lot of the training camp candidates just sort of grab other TCCs after they're announced. I imagine that there's a ton of turnover in roommates -everyone is just not meant to live together. I think it was one year that Kashara/Raylee and then Madeline/Elizabeth were living together at the start of training camp. It just seemed like there might be a big maturity gap there. Not saying Madeline and Raylee were immature or childish, but Kashara/Elizabeth were much older.
-
Yeah, it was kind of confusing, but it appeared to just be for the calendar shoot. Kashara is friendly and bubbly and also seems to have a lot of friends on the team, so Kelli said she put she and Yuko together. I've seen other pictures where girls talk about their roommates from trips, so it seems like it's an assigned thing.

Moving away from the Jenna/Holly mess for a second, does anyone know how they form the groups? I'm assuming that it's a mix of everything from looks, dance ability, seniority, etc, but I'm curious because this year, Group 1 and Group 2 seem to be a bit lopsided. I've not seen enough of Group 3 and 4, but at the very least, the group leaders, Lacey/Robin and Kashara/Heather, are stronger dancers than Jinelle/Elizabeth. Its possible that the rookies in group 2 are great, but from what we've seen so far (which is admittedly not a lot), it seems like some of the top power rookies are Keyra, Kalyssa, Lexie, and Lauren and 3 of them are in group 1, which also has stronger vets than group 2 IMO (not including Cersten). Obviously, I may be way off base here and other people may think Group 2 is better, but I was just wondering how they formed them.

Yes, I 100% agree. Angela shoould be searching for a new career. Other attorneys in the division would never trust her, and her reputation would precede her everywhere she went. Giving her a promotion is too stupid for words.
-
Oh for sure. I'm not one who thinks that Holly left because she got another dance job that was just too good to pass up. No doubt that Holly would've let us know through social media by now if that was the case. I was just wondering if there was a different type of rule-breaking that they had engaged in that really caused her to quit/get in trouble. Interesting about the Holly pictures/videos....if true, that's new information.

I'm sure they will present whatever happened in the best light possible for the organization. Also, since Jenna is the one who stayed and continues to be in a prominent position, they will paint the situation in a better light for her. I'm sure we'll know some of what they got in trouble for (I would expect they will focus more on the drinking angle as opposed to dating players), and then we'll hear about how Jenna took her punishment and Holly refused to. Therefore, I doubt we will see that she threw Holly under the bus, even if she did. I will say though, Holly kind of strikes me as the type of person who would think that Jenna (or anyone else) refusing to take the fall FOR her equals the throwing her under the bus. All of this will be funny if the Jenna/Holly stuff has nothing to do with the club appearance/drinking/dating players, and if instead, something that none of us guessed.
-
A future employer probably won't care about Holly's underage drinking or dating players, agreed; however if she takes an immature, entitled attitude with her to her next job, then she will likely find herself out of the door sooner or later as well. No matter what she may believe, she's not on the level of a Misty Copeland or Steph Curry or Tom Brady....ppl who actually are invaluable to their employers. She's not even like an attorney at a law firm who is an insufferable asshole but still keeps his/her job because he/she brings in so much money. She's another wonderful dancer in a world where there are lots of wonderful dancers. Hopefully, Jenna has gotten the message that she's expendable too. I say this as someone who thinks the team is weak this year and thinks both Holly and Jenna were/are two of the best dancers on the team, but the team can go on without them. The vast majority of fans probably are not concerned with who is and isn't on the team.
-
Interesting. She's definitely salty at the organization and the tweets also appear to be a low key subtweet at Jenna. I'm curious how she threw her under the bus, assuming it's true. Unless the situation is about a lot more than underage drinking (which I've always thought honestly), it seems fairly cut and dry that one girl is 23 and the other 20 while drinking at a 21 and up club, and thus, doesn't take much throwing-under-the-bus to know that lol. If it's about more though.... Regardless, Holly needs to grow up and fast. Bitter is not a good look on anyone.
-
She definitely doesn't appear to be over what happened even though she's trying SO hard to make it seem like she is. She may be a lovely, young woman with a great head on her shoulders in reality, but her social media just oozes immaturity to me.
-
Is anyone suggesting that? All of the posts saying she should point appear to be based on her dance ability, and this isnt a particularly Jenna-friendly message board (at least not over the last couple of months or so). While I don't think Kashara should be point if it's based on dance, which I think it should be, I also don't think she looks bad by any means. She's fine, and its not like I watch and think "why on earth is this weak dancer in the front," I just always find myself watching someone else, which hasn't typically been the case with point girls in the past (blond Holly being the exception).
-
I had to go back and watch because I didn't even notice Cersten the first time. She looks fine as well as Elizabeth IMO. None of the rookies do anything for me yet. Totally agree about this group though. It definitely appears to be the weakest, starting from the top with Jinelle. She's spunky and likeable but not the most powerful dancer. I watched the clip again this morning bc I was exhausted and not in greatest mood when I watched last night, and yes, I thought it was just as boring and sloppy this morning lol.
-
I am not enjoying anyone in this, except Elizabeth looks pretty good I guess. This is super sloppy, and I find the choreo to be extremely weak. If this is the best they can do to a Bruno Mars song, then don't dance it.....(Bruno Mars fan over here!)

I don't deny that there are double standards, but I do think there's a difference between a football or basketball player leaving college early to make millions as a pro athlete, as opposed to Kalyssa skipping college when there appears to be no reason why she couldn't take classes and dance. And even then, lots of people don't like it when male athletes skip or leave college early either. With that said, college isn't for everyone, even extremely smart people. If Kalyssa is happy and able to support herself, then good for her! -
That was my question too but I guess it depends on the type of nurse that she is. I can't imagine that she's an RN in a major hospital. If she is, I respect her work ethic, but that seems risky.....for her patients.
-
Yeah, undergrad nursing programs are extremely competitive at many schools. Of my fiends who applied while I was in college, they basically had two consecutive semesters to apply and get into the upper division of the nursing division. If they didn't get in either time, most either left for another college or changed their major. I liked Lauren, Tara, and Savannah. I really hope they don't dye Savanah's hair a deep red like everyone else. Leave it! Brianna seems sweet and is very pretty, but Im annoyed that she made it over other more qualify people when it was obvious that she would struggle in training camp. Like extremely obvious and they haven't started kicking yet! I liked the alumni sections. Some of the comments came off a bit catty but that's the way it is. I thought that the way CMT spliced some of the dance scenes was annoying. Seemed far more disjointed than usual.

Did Holly have a twitter pre-DCC? IIRC, usually the accounts reverts back to the cheerleader's old twitter handle once they're no longer DCCs. Assuming that she did have one before, I wonder if she just said, "screw it, I'm not waiting anymore. I'm just going to open a new account."
-
I definitely think that's some of it, but I also thought that about Nicole Bulcher (just a thicker frame), and she got called out for weight. I also agree with the post above that a range of bodies is a good thing. I've always found Jinelle to almost be too skinny, but mileage varies on what everyone finds appealing.
-
Maybe it's that she has largely maintained her weight, as opposed to gaining weight from when she first made the team. She wasn't timy when she made the squad her first year. I thought she looked like she had lost weight/toned up last year and now she appears to be closer to her rookie year size. I kind of feel like if they were ok with it then, then it's not really fair for them to complain about it now. With that said, no doubt though there appears to be uneven treatment on the team when it comes to weight warnings. True! Anyone would look big next to Jinelle, Lacey, and Jenna. Jinelle and Lacey are incredibly lean, while Jenna has a tiny frame and then super long legs (for someone as short as she is) on top of it, which elongates her more.
