Kelsey's page says that she only has 4 years of dance experience. Does she mean that she had never been on an actual dance team before the last 4 year or that she just started taking classes 4 years ago?

Did anyone get a screenshot of this? I paused it, but don't recall seeing Chantal's name, and I think there were 2 numbers shown. I couldn't tell which one was their placement.

Good episode. I liked Whitney, but I agree that she was never going to be Top 36 for the team. I continue to like Tasha, but I prefer the side part, but I rarely like middle parts for anyone. I'm glad they lightened up Kelsey's hair. It was definitely too dark. I agree with everyone who has said that Allie doesn't have the DCC look. She also annoyed me with her "mean girls in the dance studio" story. I don't doubt that she encountered mean girls, but who hasn't? Cersten definitely doesn't seem like she views the DCC as her lifelong goal, and that doesn't really bother me. Someone mentioned earlier that she looks kind of like a mom, and I agree. She's cute and certainly a great dancer, but there is something a bit matronly about her look. It may be her hair. Jackie definitely has a very dry and flat personality. Nothing pops about her. Glad that Kelli called Emily out on saying that she's the hardest working girl in the room. Exaggerations and hyperbole often get you into trouble.

Cersten was on a college team at LSU right, and isn't the LSU dance coach involved with DCC in some way (I thought I read that at least). If she was that awful, it seems like that information would've been passed along. Now, perhaps she's just totally toxic (I certainly don't know her), but it seems unlikely that having a mean girl on the team is some super rare thing for the DCCs. With 40-some people, you're bound to have a few less than nice ones.

I'm really liking Kelsey this year. Kelli was a bit rude in the office, but she handled it with grace and maturity. Someone mentioned it earlier, but it was so annoying how they kept showing Amy's kicks when she clearly was not kicking full out. I thought her kicks looked ok. The left was a bit low, but it was a big improvement over past years. I actually like Tasha at this point. I haven't seen enough of her personality to make a comment on that, but dance-wise, I thought she looked better than many of the others. Love Certsen and Madeline, and it was nice to see Kelli Q and Kyndall get good feedback. I like Whitney, but her dancing is messy. I don't get the disinterested comments though.

Wait, Kelsey os only 5'5''? There's no way I would have guessed that. I thought she was around 5'8''ish. Although, I'm watching the episode as I type this, and she doesn't look much taller than Milan, who I would guess is no taller than 5'4'' or so.

Holly looks great in that pic. Anyone know why the DCC page hasn't been updated with the new squad, and why the new Twitter handles haven't been given out? The regular season is starting this week. I assume it's not for the show, as it will b nearly mid season before the show ends.

Love seeing Jenna at point. She's always been one of my faves, and she just pops without looking like she's trying, unlike Holly (current DCC Holly), who just looks to like she trying so hard to be sexy. I actually cringed in the episode that just passed when she walked off the dance floor after her solo. It's just too much IMO. However, her boss, Kelli, obviously likes it, and that's really what matters. If Melissa was struggling, it appears that she got her issues under control, since she's in a prime position in the triangle.

What is so strange to me about the Kat situation is that she is already a DCC. Perhaps it was said and cut, but it seems like it would've been easy enough for Kelli to say, "Kat has been on multiple appearances this year, and she has always represented us well. That interview was out of character for her." I just don't get why they act like they don't have a body of work to look at for the vets. With that said, I imagine that Kat's dancing was a much bigger topic of discussion than what we saw, and the show focused on the dress issue bc it was more dramatic.

Agreed on Jay's question. I was fine with Brenda's question, as Caila should know the most basic policy points/talking points of the 2 presidential candidates. I assume one has to live under a rock or never ever watch or read the news to miss that trump wants to build a wall. However, to ask her opinion on politics is inappropriate. One of my unspoken rules is to never talk politics at work. Part of the reason for me is that most of my coworkers are conservative and I'm the total opposite, but even if I wasn't, I think I would still steer clear of that topic. You never know how people will take it.

Kat's dress was inappropriate, but the "she's disinterested" stuff just made me roll my eyes. She probably zoned out to keep herself from crying at being chewed out in front of everyone. With that said, she did not look great on the field, so I get why she was cut, but I just hate the character/motivation type arguments unless someone clearly just doesn't care. I didn't see that in Kat. Caila clearly gained weight and came off like an idiot during her interview. They showed Jenna crying at the end, but I don't remember them even mentioning her at the end. Good to see Kelsey make it to training camp, but I think the bar was so low for her that if she managed to answer a basic question, she was going to come off well. Also glad that Amy made it. Agree with some comments above that Jennifer K. is annoying with her scripted speeches. I did like Yuko more during this episode than the first one.

I was surprised that (based on what was shown), Kelli and Judy had so little to say about Jenna. They spent a year with her, and I was expecting to hear more about her time as DCC (how was she as a performer, teammate, etc.), especially since she was never featured on the show. I get that the show is edited, but you wouldn't even know that they knew her.

Loved Kylee! I agree with whoever said that Tasha looks pretty in pictures, but looks kinda 'plastic' (can't think of a better word) on video. I was surprised that she could not do a full split however. I like Madison but I cannot take all of the crying. I know that some people are just criers, but still... I hope we better discussion from the judges in the finals episode. It seemed a bit vacuous in this episode.

Agreed. Is she supposed to give us a rundown of all the negatives things that were said to her? And if so, for what reason? So people can laugh at her or pick her apart... She was cut, so clearly it's a given that there were things they didn't like. I see no reason why she needs has to list those reasons and can't focus on the positive. Are all of the girls who made the team and are posting about it also supposed to tell the world every negative critique that they got, or is Amy the only one held to that standard? Now, if she acts bratty on the show, then that's different, but I find her post to be very gracious, especially since she was cut on the very last day.

Agreed. Perhaps I'm missing something, but while it sucks for Kyndall, I don't think her employer is in any way obligated to make exceptions for her. It would be one thing if she were taking night classes to get another degree that would also benefit the company or if she needed an altered scheduled due to childcare or something like that, but "I'm in training camp for DCC" is different. It's certainly possible that her boss is just an asshole, but given the DCC schedule, I can imagine how difficult it is to hold down a typical 8 to 5 job. I think there is a reason why so many of the DCCs seem to be dance instructors/zuma instructors/retail workers, etc. I know I definitely would not be able to hold my job and be in training camp.

But they could still practice the entrance outside on the practice field. They wouldn't need to know their spot in the formation to do that. It just seems like needless drama for the sake of the show.

Trying to catch up on all of the posts, but if Kat missed her interview with her group, that alone is probably a big reason why she got cut (I would assume more than her attire, unless it was just really bad). Based on what has been shown on the show, they are not very lenient with veterans who have issues with their interviews (Alyssa, Teri, Morgan, and perhaps now Kat). I would count that 1 year veteran, Lauren (I think that was her name), but that just seemed like a trick question to me. "Does the girl make the uniform or the uniform make the girl?" I could see the answer being either.

I actually like Kat's solo, as well, from the small snippet that we got. The part with the ribbon is boring, but based on the comments, I thought she would have been holding the ribbon the whole time, which wasn't the case. It was still soft and lacked pop, but I would think that her dancing on the field was probably the bigger issue. I can imagine that her finals performance looked eerily similar to last year - pretty, soft, and lyrical solo matched with a lack of power on the field. It's too bad because I liked Kat. I don't feel as bad for Caila honestly. She was clearly not in her best shape, and on top of that, she was posting pics online from inside bars that she is too young to get in. Just silly. I don't even care about them partying, but be smart about it. Hopefully, we get to see more solo routines in the coming days.

I don't see Jenna or Shelbi. Nice to see a more diverse training camp class this year.

Yep, Amy made it. At first, I thought she was Cersten, but upon zooming in, Cersten is standing up near the middle. It looks like Milan standing up on the right.

The super tall blond made it. Also Cersten appears to be down there on the end.

The only two that I don't see are Caila and Kat (from what I have looked at).
